Justin Trudeau

  • Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife announced their separation after 18 years of marriage.
  • The split comes three years after their relationship was reportedly on the rocks.
  • Trudeau’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mélanie Joly, has been rumored to be having an affair with the Canadian PM.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife are officially calling it quits. Justin Trudeau and Sophie Grégoire Trudeau recently announced their separation publicly. Naturally, you can bet on who Trudeau is going to date next at online betting sites. According to Bovada, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mélanie Joly, is a -170 favorite to be Trudeau’s next date.

Justin and Sophie were married for 18 years, but have finally had enough after a few years of rumors. The two have known each other since they were kids in school in Quebec. Sophie was classmates with Justin’s younger brother, Michel.

In 2004, the couple officially started dating and were married one year later. Since then, Justin and Sophie had three children and he became the Prime Minister of Canada in 2015.

Prior to Justin being elected as the Prime Minister, Sophie worked as a TV host and media personality. It seemed like it would be a fairytale ending for the inseparable sweethearts, but their marriage didn’t last through his time as Prime Minister.

Kim Kardashian and Madonna Among Names On Trudeau’s Next Date Odds

Bovada has released a bevy of names that could be Trudeau’s next date. The names range from Kim Kardashian, Celine Dion, Janet Jackson, Cher, Sanna Marin, and even Madonna and Mariah Carey.

It’s worth mentioning that Kardashian seems to be involved in all of these types of prop bets. She was among the favorites for Tom Brady’s next relationship odds.

It just seems to be a running joke between oddsmakers.  At +450 odds, Kardashian has the second-best odds to be Trudeau’s next date.

Madonna might have as good of a chance at +4000 odds as Kardashian. We can safely state that a Kardashian is not his next date. Sorry, Madonna isn’t winning at +4000 either.

Signs of Cracks In Trudeau’s Marriage Three Years Ago

If you were paying attention three years ago, it was quite evident that there was something wrong between Justin and Sophie. In 2020, the couple shared an incredibly awkward kiss that largely went unreported.

The Canadian media didn’t give the strange kiss much attention. If you’ve ever been in a deteriorating relationship and tried hiding it from your friends and family, you likely recognized something was off between Justin and Sophie.

Or, did Sophie purposely make the kiss as awkward as possible to transmit a message to viewers? Whatever the reason, it’s likely that the separation has been years in the making. It certainly didn’t just happen overnight or even within the last year.

So, what happened between Justin and Sophie three or four years ago? One theory is that Justin was having an affair. While nothing has been confirmed or any evidence of this being the case, the rumors are heating up that it was with a woman close to Justin.

Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs Caught In Crosshairs of Separation

Why is Mélanie Joly the clear betting favorite at -170 odds? Rumors have been floating around over the past several months that Joly and Trudeau were getting cozy with one another.

However, besides pictures and videos of them appearing happy together during work functions and events, there is nothing to corroborate these rumors. And, the fact that these two have a personal relationship, does not point to a romantic one.

With that said, it is clear why Joly is a heavy-betting favorite to be Trudeau’s first date after his separation from his wife. Additionally, it is interesting that Trudeau shuffled his cabinet, but left Joly at her post.

While there is no rhyme or reason for Angelina Jolie, Kim Kardashian, Cher, and the other betting options, Joly (-170) as the betting favorite is backed up by some real-world circumstantial evidence.
