BetNow Sportsbook and Casino Review for 2024

Launched in 2015, BetNow is relatively new to the game. Best known for its sportsbook, BetNow also includes a great casino and live dealer offerings. Their sportsbook has competitive odds, a great selection of prop bets, and exciting weekly competitions, along with excellent customer service. I was also impressed with BetNow’s variety of virtual poker and blackjack titles.

Nevertheless, I thought the overall web design was outdated and the slots titles limited.

The bonuses are not big (150% up to $150) but provide flexibility to suit your budget. I recommend BetNow for lower-deposit gamers and sports bettors seeking a tried and trusted operator.

BetNow User Interface

Once you log in to BetNow you’ll find a slightly unique layout when exploring the site. The prominent menu at the top of the page makes it easy for you to navigate between their casino and sportsbook.

The casino layout appears slightly more modern than the sportsbook, with tiles instead of drop-down lists for game selection. The casino is split into “Platinum Casino” and “Live Casino,” with the latter featuring not only live dealers but some virtual game titles not found in the former. Unfortunately, there are next-to-no strategy walkthroughs for newbies.

I found the general black-and-orange design of BetNow’s site to be quite dated compared to many competitors. The sportsbook/racebook fonts and tick boxes are clunky and seem designed with a desktop, not mobile, in mind.

My first impressions are that the main web interface has changed very little over the years. I could tell the sportsbook is the main draw, and I liked how prominently the NFL contest was displayed. The interface is functional but did not leave me too impressed.

BetNow’s Sportsbook 

For me, the sportsbook is BetNow’s main attraction, covering all the major sports alongside a separate racebook and live betting options. I saw several standout features. Firstly, I found good odds on BetNow compared to many other big-name competitors. The second is the functional bet slip, which made it easy for me to add parlay and round-robin bets.

The final thing I loved is the NHL, MLB and NBA weekly competitions. These can be entered for free for the chance to win $10,000 by picking that week’s winners plus the tiebreaker.
All-in-all a great sportsbook offering.

Available Sports to Bet On

I was impressed with the range of bets in these sports, which covered all major worldwide leagues, and even many lesser-known leagues and competitions (Brazilian basketball league, Dominican Republic baseball, and the Belgian soccer league amongst others). The odds are competitive – and in many cases better – than other major sportsbooks.

For me, the NBA, MLB and NFL are standout sports thanks to their weekly free-entry competitions.

However, if you are into more unusual sports in the US, such as cricket or rugby, there did not appear to be any offerings.

The racebook covers a good selection of horse races around the world, including harness racing, although it doesn’t cover dog racing.

Betting Types at BetNow

BetNow has a great selection of futures, props, and in-game bets. The betting slip made it very easy for me to add parlay and round-robin bets to my futures selections.

The variety of props on offer more than matches any rival sportsbook I can think of. Props ranged from the number of individual rushing yards in football to the number of individual passes and tackles in soccer.

BetNow Live Betting Options

Live betting covers spreads, totals, and moneyline bets, with betting options for smaller leagues as well as major ones. In terms of the interface, I did not find it as functional on a mobile device as some competitors,  with it requiring excessive scrolling, and there is no option to watch live games.

However, on a desktop, it is relatively easy to find the games offered and the bet slip makes it easy to keep track of your bets.

I would say it is a solid live betting option if you are already signed up for BetNow.

Sports Contests at BetNow

Although I did not find any specific sportsbook bonuses, the free-to-enter weekly competitions make BetNow a stand-out option.

NBA, NFL and MBA Weekly Contests

Pick all this week’s winners, plus the tiebreaker, and you win $10,000 – with more consolation cash prizes to the top 20 on the scoreboard. As a freebie, it doesn´t get much better.

NFL King of the Hill

The player with the most points accumulated across all 17 of the seasons’ weekly NFL contests wins an additional $20,000 prize – with a further $30,000 divided among the next 29 players.

BetNow’s Casino

There are little over 200 casino games in all, with 139 in the “Platinum Casino” and 66 in the “Live Casino”. This is lacking compared to dedicated casino competitors. The casino offering has been updated to incorporate a more modern tile-based format, although it is unclear why all the games aren’t in Platinum Casino.

Visionary iGaming, Mobilots and AST Gaming Solutions are the primary developers with some great titles. The large variety of virtual blackjack and poker games was a treat for me, with this being an area that many casino operators skimp on.

Live dealers are a great addition, although I found the slots disappointing.

Slots

There are only 92 slots titles in Platinum Casino and 47 in Live Casino. I thought the games were sadly lacking in variation, although I appreciated the progressive jackpot titles and I liked that the games were listed by the number of paylines, rather than the number of reels.

There were no dedicated slots bonuses.

If you like to play slots between sports bets or other casino offerings, they are a reasonable option. However, I wouldn’t sign up with BetNow purely for the slots. If you’re looking for a casino with a great slot selection, Wild Casino and Las Atlantis offer impressive slot libraries.

There are great blackjack offerings to match or exceed most competitor sites, with 10 blackjack titles in the Platinum Casino, and three in the Live Casino. I found loads of variety, from single and double-deck blackjack to double-exposure blackjack (where both the dealers’ cards are face up).

I appreciated that the rules of each blackjack title are prominently displayed, which makes it easy to find a variation to suit your needs.

Video Poker

Video poker is another area that left me very impressed with BetNow. The Platinum Casino has 18 main poker titles – with variations on classic 5-card poker, plus 6 alternative poker games including Pai Gow, Red Dog and Three Card Poker.

The games all have extensive descriptions of the rules, although a practice mode would have been helpful to get used to the different types of poker.

The diversity of poker titles was more than enough to keep me entertained, and I would recommend BetNow to anyone who enjoys virtual poker.

I found the live dealers section to be a great option at BetNow, with 24/7 access to the live dealer lobbies. I counted nine blackjack games at any one time, alongside roulette, baccarat and super 6.

The ability to play other mini-casino games from inside the live dealer room while waiting for a space at the table was a very nice touch.

The blackjack games require a $10 minimum buy-in (compared to $5 at many competitors), which is high if you don´t know what you´re doing. For that reason, I would not recommend BetNow’s live dealers for rookies.

Poker Room at BetNow

BetNow does not have a dedicated poker room. Instead, BetNow links to a downloadable third-party application called Pokerrrr 2, developed by PT Farm Entertainment.

You can sync your BetNow account with Pokerrrr 2 to enter BetNow-hosted members-only games and tournaments.

As Pokerrrr 2 operates with a “gold coin” system, this is technically a social/sweepstakes poker room. However, these gold coins are traded for real money through your BetNow account.

The Pokerrrr 2 platform is certified by Gaming Labs International (GLI).

I particularly enjoyed the two weekly freeroll tournaments. There is also a range of buy-ins and daily tournaments, although I found waiting times could be long with less traffic than in other dedicated poker rooms.

My experience with Pokerrrr 2 was good, but I would prefer playing at an in-house BetNow poker room.

Poker Bonuses

There is a $52 BetNow poker room welcome bonus. This is available for selected tournaments, and you must play at least a 500-hand rollover to claim.

There are other poker bonuses available when making a separate registration with the BetNow-host affiliate, known as #MembersOnlyPoker. These bonuses can all be used in the Pokerrrr 2 room.

Types of Poker Games

BetNow hosts both Texas Hold´Em and Omaha tournaments.

Texas Hold’Em

This is the most popular variation of poker. You have an initial two-card hand. Three community cards are dealt face-up in the middle of the table. Two more cards are dealt to the middle. You need to make the best five-card hand out of any combination of the seven visible cards.

Omaha

Same as Hold’Em, except you have an initial four-card hand. You need to make the best five-card hand using two cards from your hand, and three community cards.

Poker Tournaments

There are two separate weekly freeroll tournaments, one for Hold’Em, and one for Omaha. They payout $1,600 to the top 30 players every Wednesday. It was a lot of fun for me as an experienced player and a great opportunity for newbies who don’t want to put money down.

There are also frequent buy-in tournaments that payout to the top 14 or top 30 players, depending on the tournament. Buy-ins range from $14-300, so this is not for rookies.

Finally, there are standalone games, with buy-ins as low as $0.75.

All-in-all I thought these were good options catering to a range of budgetary and skill levels, although I would have liked to see more of the lower buy-in tournaments.

Mobile Gaming at BetNow

BetNow functions through a mobile web browser, rather than a downloadable app, as with most other modern online betting sites.

The BetNow site is broadly functional, but unfortunately, the app feels outdated next to some competitors such as BetOnline. I found the sportsbook and racebook required a lot of scrolling and felt slightly awkward – with the bet slip not functioning as well.

The casino offering works better thanks to its more modern tile selection, and full access to the games.

I could do everything I wanted to do on BetNow via mobile, but I would say it is an area for improvement to bring it in line with competitors.

When it comes to real money bonuses and promotions at the BetNow sportsbook and online casino, I was glad to see generous welcome bonuses and some great reload deals for regular bettors at the site. Final Verdict

BetNow is a great sportsbook option, with the racebook, virtual blackjack and poker titles also nice additions. As an NFL fan, I especially loved the weekly and season-long competitions. The BetNow poker room is also worth a visit, particularly for the freeroll tournaments. But if you´re a dedicated poker player I suggest looking for an in-house poker room elsewhere.

It is also clear that the website and app, although functional, need some TLC. The welcome bonus is well suited to lower-deposit players, and I liked the flexibility of choice within it.

I would recommend BetNow mainly for sports fans and virtual card players.
