The FIFA Rankings for the four teams playing in 2022 FIFA World Cup Group F are Belgium at #2, Croatia at #12, Morocco at #22, and Canada at #41. So, this group is very strong but only two can move on and they will likely be the two UEFA nation teams.
The six matches in 2022 FIFA World Cup Group F will be played from Wednesday, November 23 to Thursday, December 1. The top two teams from Group F will move on to the Round of 16 (December 3-6) where they win or they go home.
The winners of Group F will move on to the Round of 16 and play the Group E (Spain, Germany, Japan, Costa Rica) runners-up. And the runners-up from Group F will play the winners of Group E, quite possibly Germany or Spain, in the next Knockout round.
The 2022 World Cup Group F online FIFA World Cup betting odds have UEFA’s Belgium (16/1 to win 2022 FIFA World Cup, BetOnline) and Croatia (55/1), CONCACAF’s Canada at 275/1, with CAF’s Morocco priced at 300/1.
Croatia made it all the way to the 2018 FIFA World Cup Final in Russia, where it lost to France, while Belgium lost in the Semifinals to Les Bleus. Therefore, France beat both of this year’s Group F favorites. Six of the final eight teams in Russia were from Europe.

2018 = 🥉
2022 = 🤔Is this the last shot at #FIFAWorldCup glory for Belgium’s golden generation? 🇧🇪

Belgium -195
- Confederation: UEFA
- Pot: 1
- Method of Qualification: UEFA Group E winners
- World Cup Appearances: 14
- Last Appearance: 2018
- Best Performance: Runners-up (2018)
- FIFA Ranking: #2
- FIFA Code: BEL
- Odds to Qualify Round of 16: -900
- Odds to Win World Cup: 16/1
Belgium has a loaded Roster but this might be the last hurrah for the Golden Generation of Red Devils. Last time around in Russia, Belgium lost to eventual champions France in the Semifinals.
This is a team always with high expectations heading into and playing in international tournaments with Kevin de Bruyne (ManchesterCity), Romelu Lukaku )Inter Milan), Eden Hazard (Real Madrid), Dries Mertens (Galatassaray), and Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid).
Belgium will expect to make the Round of 8, but the ultimate question for Vice Captain Jan Vertonghen (Anderlecht) and Belgium is if the defense is sound enough to advance further. The memories of losing in the Semifinals to Les Blues could fuel the Red Devils in Qatar.
Belgium has gone 4-2-2 (W-D-L) this year with the two Losses coming to the Netherlands (1-4, 0-1). Even with this roster and so much World cup experience, it’s hard to see the Red Devils returning to the Semifinals but the Quarterfinals, for sure.
Hazard and Belgium will open up 2022 FIFA World Cup play against Canada on Wednesday, November 23 at Ahmad bin Ali Stadium (Grass) in Al Rayyan in Match 9 (22:00). Oddsmakers have Belgium -350, Canada +800 with a Draw at +390.
The Red Devils second match in Group F will come against Morocco (Match 26) on November 27 with its group finale against Croatia on December 1.
This will be the biggest game in Group F, but by that point, the Belgians and Croats may have already clinched a berth in the Knockout Round. So, the match may be more about winning Group F as opposed to surviving and trying to move on to the Round of 16.
🇭🇷 Can Luka Modrić take his nation one step further in #Qatar2022?

Croatia +240
- Confederation: UEFA
- Pot: 4
- Method of Qualification: UEFA Group H winners
- World Cup Appearances: 6
- Last Appearance: 2018
- Best Performance: Runners-up (2018)
- FIFA Ranking: #12
- FIFA Code: CRO
- Odds to Qualify Round of 16: -210
- Odds to Win World Cup: 55/1
Luka Modrić (Real Madrid) has 154 Caps and 23 goals in his career playing for the Vatreni who lost to France in the Final of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. Repeating that lofty distance in this tournament will be hard for Croatia but it is a Top 12 team right now.
And Croatia isn’t just Modrić. With MF Mateo Kovačić (Chelsea), F Ivan Perišić (Tottenham Hotspur), and F Andrej Kramarić (1899 Hoffenheim), this team can score goals in a number of different places and has an experienced GK in Dominik Livaković.
Croatia won’t be catching anyone by surprise after performing so well in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. In Croatia’s opener on Wednesday, November 23, oddsmakers have the Vatreni as slight -125 favorites over underdogs Morocco (+340) with a Draw at +220.
The two teams will play at Al Bayt Stadium (Grass) in Al Khor in Match 12 (13:00). Croatia and Morocco have only played once, in a Friendly back in 1996 that ended in a 2-2 tie. Morocco is better than many know, but expect Croatia to find a way to win that opener.
Their second Group F match comes on Sunday, November 27 at Khalifa International Stadium (Grass), Al Rayyan against Canada. It’s the first meeting ever between the two followed by the biggest game in Group F—Croatia vs Belgium on December 1 (18:00).

Morocco 11/1
- Confederation: CAF
- Pot: 3
- Method of Qualification: CAF Third Round winners
- World Cup Appearances: 6
- Last Appearance: 2018
- Best Performance: Round of 16 (1986)
- FIFA Ranking: #22
- FIFA Code: MAR
- Odds to Qualify Round of 16: +210
Morocco is one of those quality African (CAF) teams we don’t hear enough about, and should Belgium, Croatia, and/or Canada not be on their best game, Morocco could sneak into the Round of 16. But it’s really hard to imagine the Atlas Lions in the Quarterfinals.
Head Coach Walid Regragui has some quality players in Captain Romain Saïss (Beşiktaş), Vice-Captain and GK Yassine Bounou (Sevilla), DF Achraf Hakimi (PSG), MF Sofyan Amrabat (Fiorentina), and Forwards Hakim Ziyech (Chelsea), Youssef En-Nesyri (Sevilla).
The two-time African Nations champions (2018, 2020) have gone 7-2-3 (W-D-L) in 2022, losing to Egypt (1-2) and the USA (0-3) in a Friendly on June 1. The Atlas Lions are unbeaten in their last four heading in (3-0-1, 6 GF-1 GA).
In the opener on Wednesday, November 23, Morocco will face Croatia in Match 12 at Al Bayt Stadium (Grass) in Al Khor, Qatar (13:00). This is a match where a Draw is a possibility. Oddsmakers have Croatia at -125, Morocco at +340 with a Draw priced at +220.
Expect goals—if there are any—to be few and far between in that opening 2022 FIFA World Cup match for both Group F sides. Morocco will face Belgium next on November 27 in the biggest match for Ziyech and the Atlas Lions.
Canada is the Moroccan opponent in their final Group F match, and by that time, both of these teams may have been eliminated or this December 1 affair (Match 42) scheduled at Al Thumama Stadium (Grass) in Doha may mean win or go home for one of these two.

Canada 14/1
- Confederation: CONCACAF
- Pot: 4
- Method of Qualification: CONCACAF Third Round winners
- World Cup Appearances: 2
- Last Appearance: 2018
- Best Performance: Group Stage (1986)
- FIFA Ranking: #41
- FIFA Code: CAN
- Odds to Qualify Round of 16: +325
- Odds to Win World Cup: 275/1
CONCACAF team Canada will be making only its second-ever appearance in a FIFA World Cup. Along with its noisy North American neighbors the USA and Mexico, the Hockey-loving nation of Canada will play host to the 2026 FIFA World Cup in four years.
The Head Coach for Canada is John Herdman and Les Rogues (The Reds) are led by Forwards Lucas Cavallini (Vancouver Whitecaps, 33 Caps) and Midfielders Jonathan Osorio (Toronto FC, 56 Caps), and Samuel Piette (CF Montréal, 65 Caps).
Canada has a heavy MLS presence on its roster, but not as much international experience as many of the other teams in this global tournament. Just being here will be fun for the Canucks, but they would certainly love to win a game (or tow) and advance. Good luck.
Les Rogues have gone 6-4-1 in this calendar year, losing to Costa Rica, Panama, Honduras, and Uruguay but beating the USA, 2-0 in FIFA World Cup Qualifying on January 30. Nine of those 11 matches ended in Clean Sheets for the winners (there were no Draws).
Osorio and Canada will open up 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar play with a really tough test against Kevin de Bruyne and Group F favorites Belgium on Wednesday, November 23 at Ahmad bin Ali Stadium (Grass) in Al Rayyan in Match 9 (22:00).
Oddsmakers have the Red Devils as huge -350 favorites in the 3-way market for that match with underdogs Canada priced at +800 on the takeback. A Draw is priced at +390.
The best approach there is to use Belgium as a parlay element with two or three other big favorites in their openers.

World Cup Group F Predictions
This 2022 FIFA World Cup Group F has the lowest-priced underdog of the eight groups with Canada at 14/1, so oddsmakers see some parity here. Still, it seems like it will be an uphill climb for the CONCACAF (Canada), and CAF (Morocco) teams in this group,
UEFA heavies Belgium and Croatia have stronger Rosters, higher expectations and both will remember four years ago, being beaten by France so late in the tournament. But let’s face it, this France team was and is really good and a repeat is a distinct possibility.
Not as far as last time in my mind with Brazil, Argentina, those defending champs France, Netherlands, England and Denmark all looking stronger than they were entering the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Belgium and Croatia may be able to again make the Quarterfinals if everything goes right, but it won’t come as easy in Qatar even with elite electric playmakers DeBruyne and Modrić who are the real heartbeats of these two very talented European Soccer teams.
