I’ll take a look at the WNBA odds to win the championship, checking out the favorites and a couple of sleepers. Then, I’ll give you my early WNBA championship prediction as the league heads into the offseason!

The Minnesota Lynx (+340) aren’t far behind the Liberty after their thrilling Finals series, and the Lynx have an implied chance of 22.8%.

The Las Vegas Aces (+400) had their bid for a three-peat stopped by New York, who lost to the Aces in the 2023 Finals. But the Aces are right there in the WNBA Finals odds, with a 20% implied probability. Connecticut (+650) is also right there, with a 13.3% implied chance.

2025 WNBA Championship Favorites

Let’s tip things off by looking at the favorites to lift the championship trophy at the end of the 2025 season!

New York Liberty (+165)

The Liberty finally won their first franchise title on their sixth try, albeit under controversial circumstances. It was a season of redemption for the Liberty, who lost to Las Vegas in four games in the 2023 Finals. New York then eliminated the Aces in four games to get their revenge.

New York does have some questions to answer in the offseason. Breanna Stewart hasn’t been re-signed yet, but it is reported that she’ll sign a one-year deal. All signs are pointing to Stewart returning to the Big Apple. Veteran guard Courtney Vandersloot is also a free agent, but she is 35 and only averaged 14.4 minutes in the postseason, so she could look elsewhere for more time.

Sabrina Ionescu and WNBA Finals MVP Jonquel Jones are back, as is Bietnijah Laney-Hamilton, Leonie Fiebich, and Nyara Sabally. Kennedy Burke and Ivana Dojkic could leave in the expansion draft, as the WNBA welcomes the Golden State Valkyries into the league.

But if they re-sign Stewart, the Liberty will be set to go for a repeat as WNBA championship! Their 2025 WNBA championship odds are fair, and well-deserved.

Minnesota Lynx (+340)

The Lynx might feel aggrieved with how their season ended, as there were controversial calls that went against them in Game 5 of the Finals. Head coach Cheryl Reeve wasn’t fined by the league for saying the title was stolen. But all things considered, the Lynx had a phenomenal season as they were 19-21 in 2023, and lost in the first round. In 2024, Minnesota was 30-10 and came within an overtime period of winning the title!

Napheesa Collier is a certified star, finishing second in the WNBA MVP voting to Las Vegas’ A’ja Wilson, and she also won Defensive Player of the Year! She’ll be back in 2025, along with Kayla McBride, Courtney Williams, Alanna Smith, and Bridget Carleton.

Myisha Hines-Allen and Natisha Hiedeman are free agents, and that would hurt the Lynx’s depth if they departed. But the core is back, and that validates Minnesota’s 2025 WNBA championship odds!

Las Vegas Aces (+400)

Las Vegas Aces (+400)

The Aces fell short of their quest for a three-peat as they lost to New York in the semifinals. However, the extra time off might do them some good after two straight title reigns! Wilson is now a three-time WNBA MVP after winning unanimously after leading the league in scoring and blocks, and finishing second in reboundings. She’ll be back, along with Chelsea Gray and Jackie Young.

The Aces will try to re-sign Kelsey Plum, who has been with this franchise for all eight seasons of her career. Tiffany Hayes and Alysha Clark are also free agents. The Aces also lost assistant coach Tyler Marsh to the head-coaching job in Chicago, and Natalie Nakase took the job in Golden State.

That speaks highly of what head coach Becky Hammon is doing in Las Vegas. But she’ll have some work to do to replace them. That said, if Plum comes back, the Aces will be in the mix once again!

Connecticut Sun (+650)

The Sun is probably the team I have the most questions about among the favorites in these WNBA title odds for 2025. Head coach Stephanie White left for the job in Indiana, and they haven’t filled the role as of November 5. Alyssa Thomas, DeWanna Bonner, DiJonai Carrington (restricted), and Brionna Jones are all free agents.

Bonner is also 37 years old, and Thomas is 32. Thomas has been with the Sun since 2014, while Bonner has been there since 2020. Is she even coming back for another season? Thomas was also up and down shooting the ball last season.

It might be time for a hard reset in Connecticut, which is why their WNBA championship odds might be overvalued right now.

2025 WNBA Championship Sleepers

Next, let’s check out a couple of sleepers to watch for in these WNBA title odds.

Indiana Fever (+1200)

The Fever made it to the postseason for the first time since 2016, but they were swept in two games by Connecticut. Caitlin Clark had a fantastic debut as she was the unanimous Rookie of the Year, had the first rookie triple-double in WNBA history, and the former Iowa star also made the All-WNBA team.

But Clark got some help as Aliyah Boston also had a good season, and the Fever will now build around the last two Rookies of the Year. The Fever also brought back Stephanie White, who coached this team in 2015 and 2016, taking them to the WNBA Finals in the latter year. White has been coaching Connecticut the past two seasons, but she’s excited to return to her home state.

However, Indiana still has to consider re-signing Kelsey Mitchell, who tied Clark as the team’s leading scorer. The Fever were also terrible defensively, and they have to shore up that side of the ball. But their 2025 WNBA championship odds offer some great betting value, and if you think they can win, jump on these odds now as they won’t get better than right now!

Seattle Storm (+1400)

The Storm were swept by Las Vegas in the first round, but they improved by 14 games in the regular season. This is a fun, veteran team, led by the trio of Jewell Loyd, Nneka Ogwumike, and Skylar Diggins-Smith.

Ogwumike is a free agent, so the Storm have to figure that out. At 34, Ogwumike is still very productive, and will get attention on the open market. The Storm also received a boost as Gabby Williams returned to the team after starring for France at the Olympics. But she is also a free agent.

Head coach Noelle Quinn would like these questions answered sooner than later. But if everyone returns, the Storm are balanced on both ends and could shake up the 2025 WNBA title odds!

2025 WNBA Championship Prediction and Betting Pick

New York and Minnesota are the class of the league, but a rested Las Vegas team will be back to try to reclaim their throne. I can also see Indiana moving into Connecticut’s spot in the WNBA championship odds!

I’m going with Minnesota to avenge their loss to New York in the Finals, even though I’m a little concerned about their depth. But Collier is the next great superstar of the league, and she has an outstanding supporting cast. They’ll also have plenty of motivation after the Finals. I’m taking the Minnesota Lynx and their 2025 WNBA Title odds!
