The first thing to mention is 888 is divided into 888sports with an orange and black interface, 888casino with a green and black interface, and 888poker with a blue and black interface. The pages and color schemes are all attractive.

That said, our first impression was 888sport felt a bit cluttered. For example, in 888sport you get the options for sports, but they are mixed in with options for casino games like blackjack – which pull you away into the casino page.

By contrast, the 888casino page at first appeared too simplified. There is a separate menu option for slot games, but all other games-types are lumped under a single heading titled “casino games”. With so many titles to choose from it becomes difficult unless you know a specific game to look for. It took us a while to realize there is secondary sub-menu which lists games by category.

Perhaps it is inevitable for there to be some initial user confusion, considering the sheer amount of betting options available here. But after getting used to the layout of 888, we were able to navigate around the pages quickly. On 888sport, you’re able to search by both sports and bet type. As well, 888sport offers a super handy search bar that allows you the chance to search by league, sport, or team. The upcoming event list is also very well designed, and perfect for spotting in-game betting opportunities.

Meanwhile, 888casino has very attractive game tiles and graphics, with detailed descriptions of the game rules. This is perfect for those trying out new games, whether you be a rookie or an experienced gambler. Finally, considering how much content the site has, we experienced no problems at all with speed.

888sports is a great option, whether you’re a casual bettor, an experienced gambler, or seeking fun novelty bets. We really like that they offer an easy method for you to sort by sport so that you can quickly find your wager and place it.

Once you’ve selected your sport of choice, you can then use a drop-down menu to select which type of bets you’d like to review. To do this, look for a drop-down menu on the left-hand side of the page that says “Match & Total Goals.” Once you click there, 888Sport will showcase all of the bet types that you can wager on that sport at that time. This functionality makes it very easy to quickly locate your bet of choice if you’re searching for something more niche.

You can also select to view your odds in decimal, fractional, or American style. If you’d like to change up how your odds on 888sport are displayed, simply scroll down to the bottom of any sportsbook page. Once there, you’ll locate a drop down in the middle of the page where you can select your odds format of choice.

Available Sports

Fans of sports betting will really like the large selection of sports that you can bet on at 888sport. Currently, you’re able to wager on over 30 sports at 888sport’s online sportsbook. What’s nice about this list is that they have all of the big sports like football and golf covered while also giving you options on much harder-to-find sports such as Trotting and Pesapallo.

Overall, we’re impressed with the lineup of sports. Based on this list, mostly everyone should be able to locate their preferred sport to bet on. You can also can find plenty non-sport-related wagers out there too, like betting on politics or novelty bets – like who will be the next James Bond! 

We were very glad to see that 888sport also offers esports wagers to their clients. You can wager on three esports games: CS:GO, DOTA and League of Legends. These are the most popular esports out there, so this provides a great launching pad for 888Sport.

Live Bets

We really liked how simple 888ssport made it to find in-play action. On any sportsbook page, simply locate a link to “Live Right Now” in the top left-hand corner of the page. 888sport makes it super visible by placing it as the top link in the left-hand menu, and they even go so far as to make “Live” appear in red font so that it really pops out.

Once you click on that link, 888sport will show you all of the available live-action wagers at that time. To see events starting soon, simply click on “Starting Soon” in the top left-hand corner of any sportsbook page. 888sport will then show you upcoming events for the next four hours broken out by the hour.

After you’ve found your chosen game, the live bet interface comes into play. Here, you can view a really neat interface displaying the game stats, plus an overhead map of how the play is progressing. This is really useful for gauging the flow of a game before placing bets, if you don’t have access to the televised game.

All-in-all, it’s a fantastic live bets feature which is better than most others in the north American market.

For us, the live dealer casino is the standout feature of the 888casino offering. Here, you can find over 200 live tables to join at any one time. This blows the vast majority of North American live casino competitors out of the water.

Up first is the web chat function. You can only access this function when you are logged in as a member. In our experience the live chat operators were helpful and well informed. But we were disappointed this option is only available during UK operating hours (9am-10pm GMT), rather than 24/7 like many competitors.

Next up, you’re able to contact the 888 customer service team using telephone. 888Sport offers five different phone numbers broken out by region. For North American customers, there is unfortunately only one option for a UK number that comes with a phone toll. Like the live chat, this is only available during operating hours.

Email replies take around 24-48 hours by filling in the form.

Although our experience with the 888 operators was good, the lack of 24/7 customer care is an area in serious need of improvement, especially for 888 customers outside of Europe.
