Copa America 2024 Group C Winner Odds
The following Copa America Group C odds are courtesy of Bovada:
TEAM | ODDS |
---|---|
Uruguay | -150 |
USA | +130 |
Panama | +1500 |
Bolivia | +1800 |
Uruguay (-150) remains the odds-on favorite to win Group C. As a -150 favorite, the country has an implied chance to win of 60%. This remains level with Uruguay’s odds from last month.
USA’s (+130) price has improved slightly, from +140 to +130. Panama (+1500) has seen the largest shift in their odds of winning Copa America 2024 Group C! They are down to +1500 from +2000 last month!
Conversely, Bolivia’s (+1800) odds tanked from +1400 to +1800, with Panama moving into the third-best odds to win the group.
To Qualify From Group C Odds
TEAM | ODDS |
---|---|
Uruguay | -1600 |
USA | -700 |
Bolivia | +400 |
Panama | +450 |
Uruguay (-1600) is in the clear, according to oddsmakers at Bovada. They have an overwhelming 94.1% implied probability of advancing to the knockout stage. Uruguay’s odds have improved from -1400 to -1600 over the last few weeks. Team USA’s chances are incredibly favorable, too.
Currently, the US (-700) has an 87.5% chance of advancing, an improvement from -600 in May. Although Uruguay will give them a tough time, this is a terrific draw for the Americans. Panama and Bolivia are a huge step-down, so the odds favor at least finishing second in Group C.
Uruguay (-150) – Will The Uruguayans Rise To The Challenge?
- Manager: Marcelo Bielsa
- FIFA Ranking: 15
- Impact Players: Federico Valverde, Ronald Araujo, Darwin Núñez
- Best Copa America Finish: 1st (15 times)
Copa America mainstays Uruguay enter the 2024 tournament with high expectations. There is a plethora of talent all across the pitch for this national squad in 2024.
The Diego Forlán and Luis Suarez era is long over, but the current situation and future appear incredibly bright for “La Celeste”.
While Forlán and Suarez won’t be together at Copa America 2024, Suarez is being called up to play in his fifth Copa America tournament! He was dealing with a thigh injury, but Uruguay’s all-time leading goalscorer is expected to be at Copa America 2024.
The past and future come together on this Uruguay squad. Captain and Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde is 25 years old, and already one of the best at his position in the world.

He is joined by Barcelona center-back Ronald Araujo — another strong 25-year-old asset. Uruguay is more than young talent, though. Atlético Madrid’s Jose Maria Giménez provides the Uruguayans with a skilled defender and savvy veteran!
Legendary manager Marcelo Bielsa took over the national team in May 2023. It has primarily been positive results for El Loco since he arrived. In FIFA World Cup Qualifying matches, Uruguay picked up huge wins over Brazil, 2-0, Argentina, 2-0, and Chile, 3-1.
They played like a team ready to compete and beat the best in the world. Although Argentina looked ill-prepared in a 2-1 friendly loss to the Ivory Coast in March, they didn’t have their full team and were disinterested.
Most recently, Uruguay was in top form with a 4-0 win over Mexico on June 5. If that’s any indication, Uruguay should be in great shape at Copa America 2024.
Everything considered, Argentina’s Copa America Group C odds to win have some value at -150! They have a decent chance to surprise a few people and advance deep into this tournament.
United States (+130) – Will Homefield Advantage Spark The US?
- Manager: Gregg Berhalter
- FIFA Ranking: 11
- Impact Players: Weston McKennie, Christian Pulisic, Antonee Robinson
- Best Copa America Finish: 4th (1995, 2016)
The United States will host Copa America for the second time since 2016. That was the last time we saw the United States at the tournament, with a respectable fourth-place showing.
The American squad has to feel confident they can do even better at this year’s event. This isn’t the old Yanks team of old, the United States is bringing a quality team to the equation in 2024.
If Weston McKennie and Christian Pulisic are in top form and healthy, there could be an opening to squeeze into the semifinals. McKennie is a regular on the pitch for Juventus in Italy’s Serie A, though he will likely be sold in the offseason.

The 25-year-old midfielder has been highly regarded since his teenage years! As McKennie embarks on the prime years of his career, he is also turning into a leader alongside Pulisic for the U.S. national team.
Pulisic is with McKennie in Serie A as part of AC Milan. The winger and U.S. team captain scored 12 goals and eight assists in 2023-24 for his pro club.
Additionally, Antonee Robinson provides the United States with an efficient fullback. However, depth at this position will take a hit due to Sergino Dest’s ACL injury. The US is in danger of being without striker Josh Sargent as well.
Currently, Sargent is listed as doubtful due to a foot injury, according to manager Gregg Berhalter. There is a chance he plays, but his fitness levels are in question right now.
The United States is coming off a Concacaf Nations League title with a 2-0 win over Mexico. Will the momentum continue at Copa America 2024? Playing Uruguay isn’t the easiest task, but they should advance with ease.
Panama (+1500) – Is Panama Set To Shake Up Copa America 2024?
- Manager: Thomas Christiansen
- FIFA Ranking: 45
- Impact Players: Ismael Diaz, Michael Murillo
- Best Copa America Finish: Group Stage (2016)
Public sentiment has improved drastically in Panama over the last month. Panama’s Copa America Group C odds to win have improved considerably from +2000 to +1500.
However, Panama is still up against a tough assignment against Uruguay and the US. There is good news for Panama at Copa America 2024: They will more than likely have enough to defeat Bolivia and finish third in the Group C table.
Aside from that, Panama’s prospects are bleak against the United States and Uruguay. Credit to right-back Michael Murillo for working up to a spot on a Ligue 1 roster with Olympique de Marseille.

He is also an MLS All-Star from his time with New York Red Bulls. His defensive prowess is well-respected, but he’ll need some assistance from the midfield to generate dangerous scoring chances.
Panama doesn’t have the offensive tools to keep up with the top foes in Group C. Murillo and Ismael Diaz may have a couple of plays in them, but there isn’t going to be much support present.
In March, Panama failed to score a goal in Concacaf Nations League matches in losses to Jamaica and Mexico. They fared better against inferior Costa Rica in November, but the United States and Uruguay will provide stingier tests.
Panama is coming off clean performances in friendly matches against Guyana and Montserrat this month. They defeated Guyana for a 2-0 win and then followed up recently with a 3-1 victory over Montserrat on June 9. Again, the US and Uruguay will up their challenge, though.
Despite improvement in their odds of winning Group C, I am not optimistic about Panama’s chances at Copa America 2024. Their +1500 odds suggest a 6.3% chance to win Group C. However, I don’t see over a 2% opportunity for Panama.
Bolivia (+1800) – Can Carlos Lampe Save Bolivia?
- Manager: Antonio Carlos Zago
- FIFA Ranking: 85
- Impact Players: Carlos Lampe
- Best Copa America Finish: 1st (1963)
Bolivia has failed to reach the group stage in eight of their previous nine Copa America entries. They had a run at Copa America 2015 to reach the quarterfinals but haven’t won a match in three tournaments since then.
The Bolivians had their strongest performance in 1997 as the runner-up to Brazil. It was an incredible accomplishment for the nation, though they are far removed from that magical squad.
At Copa America 2024, Bolivia must get a magical performance from goalkeeper Carlos Lampe, who’s stolen wins and draws for his country before. At 37 years old, motivation shouldn’t be a problem.

Despite Lampe’s ability, Bolivia does not have enough offensive firepower or support on the backend to qualify from Group C with their skill players.
Currently, Bolivia is on a ten-match losing streak. Their most recent draw was against Chile, 0-0, in June 2023. Since then, they’ve fallen in nine straight assignments!
In March, the Bolivia national squad dropped a 3-2 defeat to Algeria, and then suffered another disappointing loss to Andorra, 1-0. They got their first taste of Copa America 2024 group play action with a 3-0 loss to Uruguay in a FIFA World Cup Qualifying match in November 2023.
Their latest effort on May 31 might be viewed as an improvement, but a 1-0 loss to Mexico isn’t convincing bettors. As Bolivia’s losing skid grows, their odds in Copa America Group C continue to regress.
Lampe is highly unlikely to save Bolivia in Group C. He needs some support, but Bolivia doesn’t have the required talent. Marc Enoumba is not near enough to compete with the US and Uruguay.
Copa America 2024 Group C Predictions and Betting Pick
Uruguay is the class of Group C. The United States will pose a threat, though the favorite’s abundance of young and veteran talent should be too much to overcome.
In addition to top talent, Uruguay has the most accomplished manager on the sideline. Bielsa is expected to have this roster prepared to play in a favorable group draw.
Additionally, Uruguay has had several elite wins over top opponents over the last year. With big victories over Argentina and Brazil, the Uruguayans showed that they can beat any team at Copa America 2024.
The United States and Uruguay received fortunate draws at Copa America 2024. Both nations are looking at easy advancements to the knockout stage over two of the worst teams in the tournament.
I expect the U.S. to be competitive, but likely to be edged out by a determined Uruguay squad built to go to the final.
