Just 12 hours after those lines were released, it has shifted to Yes at -200, while No is +150. As of September 4, ahead of the Dodgers’ meeting with Ohtani’s old team, the Los Angeles Angels, Ohtani had 44 home runs and 46 stolen bases. The Dodgers have 23 games remaining in the season, and Ohtani has missed just three games so far in 2024.
The Dodgers are also trying to hold off San Diego in the National League West. Ohtani has also hit 12 home runs in two of the last three months of the season, and had 27 stolen bases in July and August. He has three steals through the first three days of September. I’m betting on Ohtani to hit both marks and kick off the 50/50 club.

However, the Dodgers have six games against Colorado, who have allowed the second-most homers in the majors. Miami and Cleveland are also around the bottom-third of the majors in homers allowed, and the Dodgers have six games against them. I’m quite confident Ohtani will go over 50.5 homers.
