Solheim Cup 2024 Betting Odds

The following Solheim Cup odds are courtesy of Bovada:

TEAMODDS
Team USA-140
Team Europe+135
Tie+1200

Team USA (-140) is favored to beat Team Europe (+135) at the 2024 Solheim Cup. The Americans have a 58.3% implied probability of capturing their first Solheim Cup since 2017!

However, the United States has the series advantage with 10 wins in 17 events. They won back-to-back titles in 2015 and 2017, but two losses and a draw since then have left Team USA reeling.

Europe is coming off a win at the 2023 Ryder Cup, so we’ll see if the ladies can match the men and keep the Solheim Cup on home soil!

Team USA Solheim Cup Roster and Analysis

The Americans bring a pretty strong roster with them to Virginia for the Solheim Cup! They have a deep group that includes a few recognizable stars expected to carry the weight.

Let’s delve into Team USA’s Solheim Cup roster:

PLAYERAGEWORLD RANKING
Nelly Korda261
Lilia Vu262
Rose Zhang2110
Lauren Coughlin3114
Ally Ewing3117
Megan Khang2621
Alison Lee2925
Allisen Corpuz2628
Andrea Lee2643
Lexi Thompson2946
Jennifer Kupcho2753
Sarah Schmelzer3061

Team USA has a potent 1-2 punch on their roster for the 2024 Solheim Cup. The No. 1 ranked golfer in the world, Nelly Korda, will be participating for the US. Despite being only 26, she is well-experienced with three appearances in the Solheim Cup!

Korda holds a 7-4-1 record in her career playing in Solheim Cup matches. She has only improved since her last appearance, so I expect a lot of positives for the 26-year-old at Robert Trent Jones.

In 2024, Korda has already won six tournaments on the LPGA! From January 25 to April 18, she captured five consecutive titles. The star continued her winning ways only two tournaments later at the Mizuho Americas Open.

She ranks first on the LPGA Tour in scoring average and the official money list. Additionally, Korda is second in greens in regulation and third in putts per GIR. There aren’t many holes in her game!

After hitting a cold stretch, Korda regained her form recently for a T2 finish in the AIG Women’s Open. Not only does Team USA have the top-rated player in the world, but they have No. 2, as well.

Fountain Valley native Lilia Vu has finished T2 or better in three of her previous six tournaments, including a win in the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give. With Korda and Vu, the US has two bonafide stars. They are both coming off T2 performances in their latest events.

Along with Rose Zhang, the US has three top 10 players in the world on their roster! Zhang has a win and four top-10 finishes through 15 tournaments. She should be a solid contributor to Team USA.

Moreover, world No. 4 Lauren Coughlin has won two of her last four events, including the Scottish Open! She has also finished in the top 5 in four of five tournaments. I like the looks of the top end of this Team USA roster!

Team Europe Solheim Cup Roster and Analysis

Team Europe is seeking its third Solheim Cup since 2019! They tied in the latest Solheim Cup, 14-14. In 2021, Europe prevailed 15-13, two years after a 14 ½ – 13 ½ win in the 2019 Solheim Cup.

However, is the 2024 roster well-equipped to keep the trophy in Europe? Check out the complete European Solheim Cup roster below:

PLAYERAGEWORLD RANKING
Celine Boutier308
Charley Hull2810
Maja Stark2424
Linn Grant2526
Esther Henseleit2529
Leona Maguire2932
Carlota Ciganda3433
Madelene Sagstrom3135
Georgia Hall2840
Albane Valenzuela2662
Anna Nordqvist3766
Emily Kristine Pedersen2897

Team Europe has two top-10 players in the world playing in the Solheim Cup. France’s Celine Boutier, who finished 18th on home soil in the Olympics, is the highest-rated golfer on this team.

Boutier hasn’t finished in the top 10 of a tournament since the HSBC Women’s World Championship in February! She has gone 14 straight events outside of the top 10, with just two top 15 efforts.

British golfer Charley Hull has shown some positive results as of late. She finished T5 in the Dow Championship and T5 two starts back in the ISPS Handa Women’s Scottish Open.

Hull followed up most recently for a 20th-place finish in the AIG Women’s Open. Following a strong start-up in the front of the field with a 67 in the first round, Hull collapsed and shot 75 in the third and fourth rounds.

Team Europe’s top players aren’t on the same level as Korda and Vu right now. Zhang has also been in better form on the golf course than Boutier and Hill. Beyond the elite team members, I wouldn’t put Leona Maguire and Carlota Cigana ahead of Alison Lee and Allisen Corpuz!

This is a solid roster, but it doesn’t come close to Team USA’s loaded squad heading into Virginia, especially based on recent form.

Solheim Cup 2024 Prediction and Betting Pick

Have you made your Solheim Cup betting pick at online sportsbooks yet? I suggest looking at the American side for your top bet!

Given Korda, Zhang, Vu, and Coughlin’s recent form, it’s going to be difficult for Europe to edge out the US. Coughlin could be the X-factor in this tournament as she’s playing some of the best golf of her career at the moment.

Hull had an opportunity to build up plenty of momentum, but she struggled to maintain her stroke in the AIG Women’s Open after a hot start. Europe needs her at the top of her game to have success, but I have my doubts!

For my Solheim Cup prediction, the Americans are the side to back at Robert Trent Jones Club in 2024!
