Miller is coming off a big showing against the Brooklyn Nets with 29 points on 64.9% shooting. He was sharp from downtown, connecting on 55.6% of his three-point attempts. Expect Miller to stay hot in this matchup against the Pistons.

The Pistons don’t have the best interior defense, so they’ve allowed amongst the most points to forwards in the NBA. Miller should be a load to handle for the Pistons, so I like what the over 17.5 points has to offer for NBA player props today.

Total Points: Jaden McDaniels (MIN) Over 10.5 (-120)

The Timberwolves’ Jaden McDaniels is another points total worth giving attention on Thursday night! McDaniels has averaged 10.1 points per game through 14 games this season.

He is shooting a healthy 46.7% from the field in roughly 30 minutes per game. The former Lakers’ first-round draft pick has scored more than 10 points in three of his previous four games.

After a slight cool start to the season, McDaniels is beginning to find his stroke on the floor. Many players have managed to get hot against the Raptors this season. They don’t offer the most resistance on the defensive floor this season.

The Raptors are 27th in the league, with 119.5 points against per game! They’ve typically played in high-scoring ball games, which bodes well for McDaniels’ prop bets tonight.

McDaniels is averaging just over 10.5 points per game this month, so I understand where the total is coming from. However, the Raptors’ leaky defense should push McDaniels beyond this mark.
