Coco Gauff+500

Aryna Sabalenka (+160) of Belarus is the #1 player in the world, and a deserving favorite! She has a 38.5% implied probability to win this prestigious tournament, which she has never won. Iga Świątek (+130) of Poland is next with an 25% implied chance of winning, and she is the defending champion in this event.

Coco Gauff (+500) of the United States is right behind them with a 16.7% implied probability to win, and the top six players are all within reach of each other. It’s going to be tough for longshots like American Jasmine Paolini (+2000) and Barbora Krejčíková of the Czech Republic against the top of the board.

WTA Finals Format and Key Info

Before I dig into the 2024 WTA Finals odds, I’ll explain the format of this tournament. There are just eight players, the best of the best throughout the season. They’re put into two groups of four, and then will play a round-robin format where each player plays each other.

The top two players from each group move on to the semifinals, with the first-placed player from Group A, playing the second-place player from Group B, and vice versa. Then, it’s down to the final, where two players square off.

The tournament kicks off on November 2, 2024, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and runs to November 9.

2024 WTA Finals Favorites

Let’s take a look at the favorites in these WTA Finals odds for the 2024 edition!

Aryna Sabalenka (+160)

Sabalenka was terrific in 2024, finishing the season with four singles titles, including going back-to-back at the Australian Open, and she also won the U.S. Open. The Belarusian star has now gone to the semifinals, or better, in seven of the last eight Grand Slams she has played in.

The 26-year-old most recently won in Wuhan in early October, so she’s well rested. Sabalenka lost in the semifinals of the 2023 WTA Finals to Iga Świątek, and she would love to avenge that loss in 2024.

Sabalenka is placed in the Purple Group, along with Paolini, Rybakina, and Zheng.

Iga Świątek (+300)

Swiatek was the #1 player in the world as of October 14, before relinquishing the spot to Sabalenka. But Swiatek has still had a remarkable year. Her five tournament wins leads the WTA, and the Polish player also won the French Open, which Sabalenka has won in four of the last five years.

The 23-year-old also won bronze at the Olympics, and along with Sabalenka, the duo is the class of the WTA all season long. She tore through the 2023 WTA Finals, finishing off with a 6-1, 6-0 rout of Pegula.

Swiatek and Pegula are grouped together in the Orange Group of the round-robin section, along with Gauff, and Krejcikova.

Coco Gauff (+500)

Gauff has a pair of WTA titles under her belt in 2024, winning the Auckland Classic in January, and then the Beijing Open in late September. She also lost in the semifinals of the Australian and French Opens, while falling in the fourth round at Wimbledon and the U.S. Open, which she won in 2023.

The 20-year-old looks like she’s the next face of American tennis, so it’ll be interesting to see how she handles the pressure. Gauff is also grouped with Swiatek, who is 11-1 against the young American. If Gauff can win their round-robin match, that could give her some confidence and give her WTA Finals odds some value at tennis betting sites!

Sleepers in the 2024 WTA Finals Odds

Next, let’s take a look at the tennis betting sleepers in the 2024 WTA Finals odds. With all due respect to Paolini and Krejcikova, they’ll need some help to make it out of their groups. Paolini is also playing doubles in this tournament, so fatigue will be an issue for her.

Qinwen Zheng (+750)

Zheng won the women’s tennis Olympic gold medal with an outstanding run in Paris this summer, and she also won the Palermo Ladies Open the week after Wimbledon. The 22-year-old also lost to Sabalenka in the Australian Open finals, but she is coming into her own!

This is her first appearance at the WTA Finals, but Zheng won’t be afraid of taking on the big guns. She should be able to make it to the semifinals, but Zheng could be in tough against Sabalenka, who has won all four of their matches.

Elena Rybakina (+800)

Rybakina won three WTA titles in 2024, in Brisbane in January, Abu Dhabi in February, and Stuttgart in April. She also made it to the semifinals of Wimbledon, where Rybakina fell to Krejcikova.

It’s tennis, so anything can happen, and Rybakina has played in enough high-profile tournaments to not be scared. The 25-year-old Kazakhstani failed to make it out of the round-robin stage in 2023, so she’ll be motivated. Her match against Zheng will be crucial to Rybakina’s 2024 WTA Finals odds at BetUS.

Jessica Pegula (+800)

Pegula has won two WTA titles this year, in Berlin in June, and the Canadian Open in August. She also reached the final of the U.S. Open, but Pegula lost to Sabalenka.

This is the American’s third straight trip to the WTA Finals, failing to make it out of the round-robin stage in 2023. But Pegula finished first in a group that included Sabalenka and Rybakina in 2023, then beat Gauff in straight sets in the semifinals before running out of gas against Swiatek. This is the best value you can get in these WTA Finals, although I don’t think she’s going to win.

2024 WTA Finals Prediction

Anything can happen in tennis. However, I think Sabalenka and Swiatek have been heads and shoulders above the field this year in the WTA. I believe they’ll both get out of their groups, and meet in the semifinals to set up a fantastic 1-vs-2 showdown in Riyadh!

Swiatek holds the edge in the head-to-head record between the two, winning eight of 12 matches. The Polish #2 has won two of three meetings this year, and also won in the semifinals of last year’s WTA Finals.

But it’s a different year and Sabalenka has been amazing on hard courts in 2024, so I’m going with Aryna Sabalenka as my 2024 WTA Finals prediction!
