In a postgame interview following the Dolphins’ season-ending 32-20 loss to the New York Jets, Hill claimed that he was “out” of Miami. He sat out the fourth quarter when it became clear the Dolphins weren’t going to make the playoffs. While it is still possible that Hill and the Dolphins could give it another try, it seems like the relationship is past the point of no return.
Hill signed an extension in August 2024 to keep him in Miami through 2026. It would be a considerable hit to the Dolphins to release him, going up from $27.7 million to $55.9 million in dead-cap money. That’s why a trade is the best situation for all involved, if they can’t find a resolution.
Hill had 81 catches for 959 yards and six touchdowns this season, and turns 31 on March 1, 2025. However, the “Cheetah” is still one of the fastest players in the NFL and can be a game-changer on the right team!
Tyreek Hill Next Team Betting Favorites
I’m going to skip over Atlanta’s odds to trade for Tyreek Hill, simply because they have to sort out the Kirk Cousins situation. Cousins was benched for Michael Penix Jr., but after signing a massive $160 million contract, the Falcons might have to eat a lot of his salary to cut the veteran quarterback.
Las Vegas Raiders (+500)
Let’s head to Las Vegas, who have the second-most cap space heading into 2025 at just over $107 million. They could easily absorb Hill’s contract. The Raiders also have two great pass-catchers in receiver Jakobi Meyers and rookie Brock Bowers. The former Georgia product set records in receiving yards for a rookie tight end, and the most catches of any rookie ever! Hill would fit right in.
The question is, who will be throwing the ball to them? The Raiders went with a tandem of Gardner Minshew and Aiden O’Connell, neither of whom were any good. They are also picking sixth in the 2025 NFL Draft. This means they might miss out on the top two quarterbacks, Miami’s Cam Ward and Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders.
There will be a few quarterbacks up for grabs in free agency, notably, Minnesota’s Sam Darnold. But would it make sense for the Raiders to take on Hill’s huge contract without knowing who their quarterback will be?
Los Angeles Chargers (+500)
The Chargers would seem to be a much better option for Hill as they have quarterback Justin Herbert, who had a great season with rookie receiver Ladd McConkey, Bowers’ former teammate at Georgia. McConkey had 82 catches for 1,149 yards and seven touchdowns, and putting him with Hill would be a massive boost for the Chargers’ pass offense.

Los Angeles has more than $74 million in cap space to play with, so they could also handle Hill’s contract. Hill also tormented the Chargers for years while he was in Kansas City, so it would be nice for them to be on the good end of Hill’s play (this also speaks to the Raiders).
It would also be a boost to the Chargers’ fan base, which got a jolt with the signing of head coach Jim Harbaugh. Adding Hill would be a feather in their cap, which is why they’re a co-favorite at most online sportsbooks.
Washington Commanders (+500)
This might be the most fun option in these Tyreek Hill next team odds! The Commanders made it back to the postseason for the first time since 2020, on the back of quarterback Jayden Daniels. The former Heisman winner from LSU has led the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds all season long!
The Commanders make a lot of sense as a destination for Tyreek Hill. They’ve got a ton of cap space and want to add another big-play receiver opposite of Terry McLaurin for Jayden Daniels.

Hill would be an excellent addition to Daniels and Terry McLaurin. Tight end Zach Ertz was next in receiving yards behind McLaurin, which isn’t ideal. Hill would be perfect for Daniels, who throws a fantastic deep ball for a young signal-caller.
The Commanders also have a ton of cap space, ranking third in the league behind New England and Las Vegas. If I’m Washington, I’m crunching the numbers as best I can to make this deal happen!
Tyreek Hill Next Team Longshot Bets
In this section, I’ll move past New England at +750 at offshore sportsbooks. They’re in the AFC East with the Dolphins, and I wouldn’t bet on Miami helping out a division rival.
The Patriots are searching for help for promising rookie quarterback Drake Maye, and their $131 million leads the league in cap space, by far. But they’ll probably have to look elsewhere.
Kansas City Chiefs (+750)
As far as narratives go, this would be the place to go for Hill. He was a fifth-round pick out of West Alabama (his third team) in 2016 by the Chiefs, where he spent his first six seasons. Hill put up 1,000-yard seasons in four of those campaigns, and went to two Super Bowls, winning in 2019. He was traded to Miami in 2022, where Hill signed his considerable contract.

Hill has made his money, while he’s watched the Chiefs win two more Super Bowls, and they’re one of the favorites in this year’s Super Bowl 59 odds.
Meanwhile, the Chiefs were 15-1 this season, but quarterback Patrick Mahomes wasn’t his usual spectacular self. They relied heavily on rookie Xavier Worthy and tight end Travis Kelce, who is 35 years old. The Chiefs also lost receiver Rashee Rice to a knee injury, and he might be suspended in 2025 due to off-field issues.
The Chiefs only have about $20 million in cap space, which isn’t enough. But they’ve got a smart front office who could make some trades, if they wanted to make this work. The chemistry is there between Mahomes, Hill, Kelce, and head coach Andy Reid. Stranger things have happened in the NFL!
Green Bay Packers (+1200)
This is an intriguing option in these Tyreek Hill next team odds. The Packers have a slew of young receivers who are good, but not great. Would you bet on any of them becoming a clear-cut #1 receiver in the future? It looks like a bunch of WR2s and WR3s, at best.
The Packers seem to have a very good young quarterback in Jordan Love, but he needs a target he can depend on, and Hill still has some jump in his step. They also have about $62 million in cap space to work with, which is more than enough to trade for Hill.
