Following India, Australia (+375) has the second-shortest chance at 21.1%. The ICC Champions odds suggest that England (+650) and South Africa (+650) are on the outside looking in, with a 13.3% implied probability.

ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Format and Key Info
The ICC Champions Trophy will take place from Feb. 19 to March 9 in Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates. The matches will be played under the One Day International Format (ODI).
ODI is a version of cricket that offers each side 50 overs in one day. Matches typically take seven to eight hours to complete. For this tournament, a total of 15 matches will be played. The eight teams are split into Group A and Group B.
The top two squads from each group will advance to the knockout stage. The winners from each semifinal match are scheduled to meet in Dubai for the championship showdown.
ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Favorites
Before delving into my ICC Champions Trophy picks to win, let’s analyze the most likely winners for the tournament:
India (+185)
Team India is projected to take home the ODI title at the ICC Champions tournament. Despite dealing with key recent injuries, depth significantly favors the Indians. I don’t expect the nation to be overly impacted by the ailments.
Nevertheless, India will likely have to cope without bowler Jasprit Bumrah. The pressure will be on India to step up in the star’s absence.
Huge responsibility on the shoulders of India's bowling attack with Jasprit Bumrah out of the #ChampionsTrophy 👀

That said, Bumrah missed the T20 World Cup and India didn’t have issues handling the assignment. The country ousted South Africa to clinch the T20 world title. The key to victory for India might have to be Harshit Rana.
It’s a huge opportunity for the 23-year-old in replacement of Bumrah, but Mohammed Siraj would have provided more experience. Team India has opted to go with five spinners, which is certainly an interesting strategy!
While question marks swirl surrounding India’s bowling, the offense should crush the opposition. I have no doubts that their batters will be in fine form. They crushed England by 150 runs in the T20I earlier this month.
Indian fans have a right to be concerned with bowling prowess, but I’m confident they’ll score runs consistently in the ICC Champions Trophy.
Australia (+375)
As India fans worry over Bumrah’s back injury, the Aussies are dealing with big woes of their own. Team Australia is in rough shape, as Mitchell Starc joined a list of growing problems for head coach Andrew McDonald’s squad.
The 35-year-old left-arm bowler has decided to withdraw from the tournament, leaving a hugely experienced player off the roster. Starc isn’t the only big name absent for Australia. The Aussies will be down skipper Pat Cummins, pace bowler Josh Hazlewood, and all-around contributor Mitch Marsh.

Cummins is a huge blow, but the major concern might be Starc and Hazlewood’s absence. Those are two pace bowlers that would have helped give Australia the top edge over India. Considering Bumrah’s injury, Australia truly could have gained a clear upper hand here.
However, the Aussies have to many issues to deal with themselves. Australia had a disappointing performance in the T20 World Cup. They were bounced in the Super Eight by 24 runs versus India. In the group stage, the Aussies were shocked by Afghanistan in a 21-run loss!
The ODI format should allow Australia to bounce back and be more competitive in this international event. That said, I don’t know if they can overcome injuries as well as India can. They’ll have some bright moments, but their roster is too banged up to feel confident in winning at +375 odds.
England (+675)
The English squad is looking to wash away the stain from the T20 World Cup in 2024. After edging out the US by 10 runs, they were chased out of the tournament in the semifinals by 68 runs against India.
England hoped to find more traction but struggled to find consistency. Fortunately, England will have their most dangerous batters in the lineup. Joe Root and Harry Brook are both expected to participate to give England a boost!
Root and Brook were finalists for the 2024 ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year award. They were ousted by Bumrah, but both elite batters were deserving of the title. England doesn’t have the best depth in the tournament, so Root and Brook will carry a heavy burden.
A number of colossal scores posted in the #WTC25 cycle 🙌

The English side is on the heels of a disastrous result on Feb. 2. They were blasted in the T20I in Mumbai by 150 runs! Root did not participate, but it’s a testament to how there isn’t any room for error. England doesn’t have the same depth as India, so their stars must be in top form to carry the load.
The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 winner odds have England at +675, which I believe is too short. They should likely be in the +725 range, offering little value at sports betting sites.
ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Sleepers
Although the favorites have the best chance of winning, there are a couple of keen squads worth considering for your ICC Champions Trophy picks as longshots! Let’s check out my top two underdogs to lift the trophy in Dubai:
ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Predictions and Betting Pick
India losing Bumrah leaves a massive gap on the roster, but this isn’t the Indian national team from the past. They were heavily dependent on their top stars and couldn’t afford to be without one or two. However, the 2025 Indians are loaded with depth and can survive with Bumrah on the sideline.
Australia’s injuries play right into the hands of India. If the Aussies had a clean bill of health, Bumrah out might have had a larger impact. That said, Australia is unlikely to be in their best form missing Cummins, Hazlewood, Starc, and Marsh. They could have given India a run for their money, but injuries are a reality of the game.
With this in mind, I expect India to pull ahead and add another major championship to their resume this year. After lifting the T20 World Cup trophy, India is in the driver’s seat to add another title to their storied history on the cricket grounds!
