10 Celebrity Fights We Must See in 2023

Celebrity Boxing 2023

Celebrity boxing fights were a bigger thing in the past than they seem to be now, but we still see promoters trying to make some of these exhibition fights, many which have odds where you can bet on them at the top Boxing betting sites

Celebrity fights and exhibition boxing matches between retired fighters in Boxing and MMA have proved to be a lucrative thing, as Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor proved with their massive paydays when the two went toe-to-toe here in Las Vegas.

The Paul brothers, Logan and Jake, are always rumored to be fighting someone in Celebrity boxing fights and both seem to take it very seriously, with Logan Paul actually challenging professional boxer Tyson Fury to step into the ring with him.

Here are 10 fights (scheduled or proposed) we would like to see in 2023, including the Spears sisters, Academy Awards winner and slapper Will Smith and Chris Rock, and former Kim Kardashian boy toys Kanye West and Pete Davidson.

1—KSI vs. Dillon Danis

KSI is an English YouTuber, rapper, the CEO of Misfits Boxing and he has had a few celebrity Boxing fights already on his resume.

In fact, another one is coming up on tap on January 14, 2023 at Wembley Arena in London where he will be fighting Dillon Danis, who is making his debut.

KSI defeated Luis Alcarez Pineda and then he promptly called out many including Andrew Tate, Tommy Fury, and Slim Albaher before getting this matchup. A native of Watford, England, KSI has gone a perfect 3-0 in his three matches. “The Nightmare” stands 6-feet tall and weighs 180 pounds.

El Jefe’ Danis hails from Parsippany-Troy Hills, New Jersey and a southpaw while KSI employs an orthodox stance and this one should be entertaining.

It’s hard to see the unbeaten and experienced KSI losing in the United Kingdom to an American.

Projected Odds: KSI -250, Dillon Danis +175

2—Britney Spears vs. Jamie Lynn Spears

Pop sensation Britney Spears and her younger sister Jamie Lynn have had a strained relationship for years and the tension was turned up a notch with the release of the latter’s new memoir about life in the Spears family in the South as the two grew up.

Britney struggled for years under her conservatorship, and when Jamie sat down with Good Morning America to talk about her new book, she mentioned an alleged childhood incident where Britney locked the both of them in the bathroom with a knife.

The elder sister Britney (41), then took to Instagram and accused her younger sister of trying to “sell a book” at her expense. Britney denies the knife incident ever happened.

So, what would happen if these two sisters were to get in a Boxing ring and throw down for three rounds?

Both are small, with Britney standing 5-foot-4 inches tall and weighing 134 pounds and Jamie Lynn an inch taller at 5-foot-5 but 8 pounds lighter (126 pounds).

It’s hard to imagine big sis losing to little sis in this one of a handful of proposed celebrity boxing fights. If they were scheduled for three rounds, it would probably go the distance with Jamie Lynn goading Britney, “Hit me baby one more time.” Britney by a split decision.

Projected Odds: Britney Spears -200, Jamie Lynn Spears +180

3—Jake Paul vs. Paddy Pimblett

Jake Paul (6-1, 190) is often linked to many celebrity boxing fights, and his proposed opponent here is Paddy Pimblett and both BetUS and BetOnline have betting numbers here with the Cleveland, Ohio native a solid favorite at both online popular websites.

The 27-year-old Pimblett is an English MMA rising star who competes in the Lightweight division of UFC and he stands 5-foot-10 and weighs 156, so a boxing match may be tough for The Baddy (20-3-0) who would be greatly outweighed. Still, he could upset Paul.

Odds: Jake Paul -240, Paddy Pimblett +150

4—Jake Paul vs. Andrew Tate

Andrew Tate is the son of Chess Grandmaster Emory Andrew Tate II and an Internet sensation. This celebrity boxing match between he and Jake Paul has been talked about for too long to think that it might ever happen.

Born in Chicago but now living in Bucharest, Romania, social media sensation Tate is an acclaimed Kickboxer and the creator of some goofiness named Hustler’s University, Tate was evicted from the Big Brother House in Big Brother UK back in 2021.

Tate is 4-3 as a Light Heavyweight in his 7 Boxing matches and his career theoretically came to an end at age 30 when he was poked in the eye. At age 37 and far removed from combat sports, will he entertain the idea of a brawl with Jake Paul?

Jake Paul has proven he can box and if this were an MMA fight, Tate might be the favorite. But this fight is lined as a Boxing match and sees Paul, the brother of Logan Paul, as a big favorite.

Odds: Jake Paul -400, Andrew Tate +250

5—Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz

Free agent Nate Diaz is always fun to watch and this is another potential celebrity fight where there are online betting numbers with Jake Paul a -300 favorite over Diaz who is priced at +225 on the takeback at BetUS . But will these two ever fight? Logic says no.

Stockton, California native Diaz stands 6-foot tall and he weighs 170 pounds and is a talented MMA who is now 37 years old while the 25-year-old Paul is 6-foot-1 and weighs 190 pounds, with a significant weight edge.

You can see why the betting numbers favor Paul. Out of all of these potential Celebrity fights, this one would likely be the most entertaining and potentially result in an upset.

Odds: Jake Paul -300, Nate Diaz +225

6—Conor McGregor vs. Artem Lobov

This celebrity (or even real) fight we must see in 2023 has odds on it online at BetOnline where semi-retired Irish Mixed Martial Arts star Conor McGregor is a prohibitive -2,000 favorite over Artem Lobov (+700) should these two fight in the ring any time in the future.

One thing’s for certain: McGregor is an MMA guy, but that fight against Floyd Mayweather provided him with some invaluable experience in the ring and he will be confident no matter he should face off in a celebrity or exhibition boxing match.

Fellow Irishman Lobov is 5-9 and 146 pounds and went 13-15-1 in his professional UFC career and he has competed in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. McGregor is 5-foot-8 and weighs 170 pounds and would have a big weight edge.

Odds: Conor McGregor -2000, Artem Lobov +700

7—Chris Rock vs. Will Smith

Although the beef has been squashed, the tension between former Saturday Night Live star Chris Rock and actor Will Smith was real after Smith walked onstage and slapped Rock during the 2022 Academy Awards in Los Angeles after a joke was made about his wife.

This might be one of the best Celebrity boxing fights we could see in 2023, but with the 54-year-old Smith obviously so much bigger than the 56 year old Rock, it surely wouldn’t be much of a fight and would likely end in a Round1 TKO by Smith.

Why?

Smith trained like a boxer for his famous role in Ali and we all saw the size difference onstage at the Oscars. Smith is 6-foot-2 and weighs 181 pounds while New York native Rock is just 5-foot-8 and weighs 168 pounds.

With the athleticism, training, 13-pound weight advantage, 6-inch height edge and obvious edge with his reach, “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” Smith would be an overwhelming and unbeatable favorite.

Projected Odds: Will Smith -1275, Chris Rock +950

8—Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr.

This exhibition bout that many have been calling for to happen for some time would generate the most interest and revenue out of any celebrity fight.

Online sportsbooks have had odds up for this rematch for quite a while with Floyd Mayweather Jr. at -600 and Conor McGregor at +400.

A battle between a boxer who has never lost and an Irish MMA star with a 22-6 record would be epic, if this fight hadn’t already happened once.

McGregor (156 pounds, 74-inch reach) and Mayweather fought for the WBC Money Belt on August 26, 2017 at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada with Sin City resident Mayweather getting a guaranteed $100 million purse and McGregor at least $30 million.

They fought at the Super Welterweight weight class (154 pounds), Mayweather defeated McGregor by TKO in Round 10 with the scorecards reading (Mayweather) 87-83, 89-82, and 89-81.

In the end, both fighters really won with Mayweather reportedly earning $280 million and McGregor $130 million after all was said and done.

If these two were to fight again, it’s hard to see the defensive-minded Money Mayweather losing to the southpaw McGregor, especially if the fight was just limited to boxing.

Odds: Floyd Mayweather -600, Conor McGregor +400

9—Ted Nugent vs. Neil Young

Ted Nugent went off on fellow rocker Neil Young claiming the Canadian legend wanted to “censor people” after the former Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young member insisted his catalog be removed from Spotify in reaction to Joe Rogan’s podcast about COVID-19 vaccines.

These two are almost exactly the same size, with Motor City Madman Nugent standing 5-foot-11 (182 cm), 182 pounds (83 kg) and Young a centimeter taller at 6-foot (183 cm) but a pound lighter at 181 pounds (82 kg). Both guitarists are right-handers.

Nugent, known for his love for hunting and the wilderness, just turned 74 years old while Young, now a US citizen, is 77 and had a brush with death. Because of health factors, age and Nugent living in the wild, the odds would strongly favor Nugent in a Boxing match.

And if these two old rockers actually got in the ring for a three-round celebrity boxing match, the Michigan native would probably knock out or see the fight stopped by judges against the Old Man Young.

Projected Odds: Ted Nugent -350, Neil Young +275

10—Pete Davidson vs. Kanye West

These two former Kim Kardashian significant others don’t like each other, but then again it seems Kanye West doesn’t like anyone anywhere at any time.

The Chicago hip hop icon went on a rant on Saturday Night Live, the show Davidson works for, wearing his “Make America Great Again” hat and then Davidson later joked about West’s behavior on the show, drawing the ire of West.

West, who now wants to be called Ye, lashed out at Davidson in his “final version” of the song Slave Name after hearing the SNL comedian saying that he preferred West on his bipolar medications as opposed to being off them.

There was also bickering from West on Instagram and it was reported that Davidson went into trauma therapy due to all of West’s berating the man who was now dating the woman who divorced him.

What would happen if this was staged on a card of Celebrity fights?

Davidson is younger (29), and taller (6-1¾), and heavier (183) pounds than West who is at least three inches shorter at 5-foot-8, 20 pounds lighter (163 pounds), and 16 years older (45).

If these two fought in a three-round Celebrity Boxing match, it might go the distance and West would complain no matter what happened. If Davidson decked Ye, the world would all collectively laugh together. Even Kim. Especially Kim.

Projected Odds: Pete Davidson -150, Kanye West +125
