ACM Awards Album of the Year Odds and Prediction
ALBUM | ODDS |
---|---|
Luke Combs – Gettin’ Old | -150 |
Morgan Wallen – One Thing At a Time | +250 |
Chris Stapleton – Higher | +300 |
Kelsea Ballerini – Rolling Up The Welcome Mat | +1200 |
Cody Johnson – Leather | +1400 |
With eight nominations at the ACM Awards, Luke Combs is the star attraction this year1. According to the latest 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards odds, he is favored to score big on Album of the Year.
Per BetUS, Combs has an implied probability of 60% of winning the ACM for Album of the Year. Gettin’ Old is being chased by contenders Morgan Wallen and Chris Stapleton. Both are worthy challengers, but the award is most likely going to Combs.
Last year, he was nominated but came up short to Lainey Wilson. In 2020, Combs captured Album of the Year for What You See Is What You Get. The way I see it, Gettin’ Old is a considerable improvement over Growin’ Up.
Although a cover of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car”is one of the most notable songs, he nails it with “5 Leaf Clover” and “Where the Wild Things Are”. He took more chances on this album while remaining true to his original sound.
Is Gettin’ Old better than What You See Is What You Get? That’s questionable, but it is safely his second-best studio album. Also, Gettin’ Old shines above the other contenders in this category, so he is a strong bet to win Album of the Year at -150.
ACM Awards Entertainer of the Year Odds and Prediction
ENTERTAINER | ODDS |
---|---|
Lainey Wilson | +120 |
Luke Combs | +300 |
Morgan Wallen | +400 |
Jelly Roll | +550 |
Chris Stapleton | +600 |
Cody Johnson | +1600 |
Kane Brown | +2000 |
Next on the ACM Awards 2024 betting odds at BetUS, Lainey Wilson is favored to win Entertainer of the Year. The current price of +120 suggests a 45.5%-win probability.
This is a bit of an open race, with some of the long shots having an opportunity to steal one here, too. With that in mind, I don’t see much betting value on Wilson at +120.
Chris Stapleton and Jelly Roll are stronger choices for this ACM Awards pick, given their odds. The latter has been especially busy on the musical and entertainment circuit over the last year.
As well as appearances on American Idol, Jelly Roll has been collecting multiple awards over the last year. At the latest CMTs, Jelly Roll, real name Jason DeFord, won three awards.
Jelly Roll won in all three categories he was nominated for, including Male Video of the Year, Male Breakthrough Video of the Year, and CMT Digital-First Performance of the Year2.
The country music star may not have the best album of the year but has surely been an entertainer. With his ACM Awards odds to win Entertainer of the Year at +550, consider backing Jelly Roll on a strong value bet.
ACM Awards Song of the Year Odds and Pick
SONG | ODDS |
---|---|
Luke Combs – “Fast Car” | -150 |
Lainey Wilson – “Heart Like a Truck” | +250 |
Jordan Davis – “Next Thing You Know” | +350 |
Cody Johnson – “The Painter” | +800 |
Megan Moroney – “Tennessee Orange” | +1000 |
Luke Combs is the odds-on favorite to win another major accolade at the Academy of Country Music Awards. At -150, he has the same probability to win Song of the Year as he does for Album of the Year, according to the oddsmakers.
“Fast Car” is not an original song by Combs, which makes it all the more impressive that he is up for Song of the Year. Chapman released the track in 1988, and it has developed into a classic.
Combs’ country twist on Chapman’s hit has resonated well with the public. “Fast Car” is the 16th song that has reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. After battling with Morgan Waller’s “Last Night”, Combs edged ahead in July.
Additionally, “Fast Car” is the quickest ascent to the top of the charts in Combs’ career3. On top of everything, the artist also spent time atop Billboard’s Adult Pop Airplay chart!
If another song wins, this would be considered a fairly sizable upset. That signals nice value on “Fast Car” to grab the ACM for Song of the Year at -150 odds.
ACM Awards Female Artist of the Year Odds and Prediction
ARTIST | ODDS |
---|---|
Lainey Wilson | -300 |
Kelsea Ballerini | +300 |
Kacey Musgraves | +350 |
Ashley McBryde | +2000 |
Megan Moroney | +2000 |
For more ACM Awards 2024 predictions, check out what we have for Female Artist of the Year. Lainey Wilson has the shortest odds to win out of the major categories.
At -300, Wilson has an implied probability to win of 75%. The 31-year-old native of Louisiana is an overwhelming favorite over Kelsea Ballerini and Kacey Musgraves.
Wilson has the second-best ACM odds for Entertainer of the Year and is scheduled to perform, so she’ll have the spotlight on her. Still, the biggest achievement of the night could be her win for Female Artist of the Year.
At the 2023 ACMs, Wilson captured the Album of the Year award for Bell Bottom Country. Despite not producing any new albums since then, Wilson remains one of the most prominent artists in country music. In fact, “Wildflowers and Wild Horses” reached No. 1 on country radio this week!
Ballerini and Musgraves are a close second, but Wilson is the clear nominee to beat at the 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards. I don’t suggest laying much on -300 odds, but Wilson appears to have a better than 75% chance of winning here.
ACM Awards Male Artist of the Year Odds and Pick
ARTIST | ODDS |
---|---|
Luke Combs | -150 |
Morgan Waller | +300 |
Jelly Roll | +350 |
Chris Stapleton | +450 |
Cody Johnson | +1200 |
It certainly looks like the 2024 ACMs will be Combs’ night. Nominated for yet another major award, online betting sites expect him to clean up.
At -150, Combs has the price to win Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Male Artist of the Year. He should be higher than a -150 favorite, with everything accomplished over the last year.
I have Combs as a -250 favorite to win Maple Artist of the Year. Jelly Roll is lingering in the background, but he doesn’t have a Billboard No. 1 album on his resume. Waller and Combs dueled on the Billboard charts, with the latter picking up the win.
One of the most well-liked songs of the year? Check. An album that is favored to win Album of the Year? Check. Combs has the resume and mainstream recognition to cruise to a win for Male Artist of the Year!
Expect to hear his name often, including for Male Artist of the Year at the 2024 ACMs.
