Alabama vs. Wisconsin: Jalen Milroe Over 1.5 TD Passes (-135)

The Alabama Crimson Tide enter hostile territory in Madison, WI, for a clash against the Big Ten’s Wisconsin Badgers. Alabama is coming off two tune-up games against Western Kentucky and South Florida.

Neither were strong tests, as the Crimson Tide rolled to 63-0 and 42-16 wins. Milroe’s Heisman Trophy campaign is off to a decent start this season. He has passed for 394 yards, five touchdowns, and no interceptions. The 6’2” quarterback has added 81 yards rushing and four scores on the ground.

Wisconsin will be Milroe and Alabama’s stiffest test this season, but that’s not saying much. South Florida and Western Kentucky are cupcakes. A mid-tier squad from the Big Ten will feel like a step up in comparison. Nevertheless, the Badgers should merely be a stepping stone if the Crimson Tide are motivated.

Milroe needs to put on a good performance against a Big Ten school to remain on pundit’s Heisman list. Struggle here and his chances to win will tank. While I don’t anticipate Milroe dicing Wisconsin up for 300+ yards, he should throw at least two touchdown passes.

Dating back to last year, Milroe has thrown at least two touchdowns in six of his previous seven games, including against a stingy Georgia defense. If you want to go back to last October 7, Milroe has connected for a minimum of two touchdown passes in nine of 11 games.

The Badgers run their team around stout defense, but Milroe and the Crimson Tide are a tough assignment. I suggest considering Milroe to pass for two or more touchdowns on your Week 3 college football props card!

Oregon vs. Oregon State: Dillon Gabriel Over 307.5 Passing Yards (-109)

Another Heisman Trophy winner will be on display this Saturday afternoon. Former UCF and Oklahoma quarterback, Dillon Gabriel, will look for a strong performance in the Civil War game and your attention for top NCAA football prop bets.

This is an early rivalry showdown that should be an entertaining watch for football fans. It’s historically been a lopsided series in favor of the Oregon Ducks. They’ve won 12 of the previous 14 meetings dating back to 2008. The Ducks are coming off a 31-7 victory over the Beavers last year.

Offshore sportsbooks expect another one-sided affair in this edition of the Civil War. According to Bovada, the Ducks are 16.5-point favorites to cover the point spread on the road. If Gabriel is confident entering Corvallis, he should have no issues dicing up Oregon State’s secondary.

Gabriel heads into Saturday with 623 passing yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions through two starts. After the Ducks survived a scare in a 37-34 win over Boise State, the Ducks have to turn Gabriel up in this one.

He had only 21 passing attempts, and while he made the most of it on 18 completions, the play calling was suspect. Look for Gabriel to have the ball in his hand far more often while the Ducks get back to basics. In the season opener against Idaho, Gabriel completed 41/49 passes for 380 yards and two touchdowns.

With safeties Kitan Oladapo and Akili Arnold no longer on the team, there are openings in the Beavers’ secondary. Although 16.5 points is a lot to lay on the road in a rivalry spot, I have confidence in Gabriel having a standout day in Corvallis.

Colorado vs. Colorado State: Shedeur Sanders Over 2.5 TD Passes (+112)

Following a humiliating 28-10 loss at Nebraska, Deion Sanders and his Colorado Buffaloes are off to Fort Collins for a rematch against Colorado State. Last year, Colorado and Colorado State played in a double-overtime thriller. The Buffaloes outlasted the Rams in a 43-35 final behind Shedeur Sanders’ arm.

The QB threw for 348 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception. Colorado State wasn’t impressed apparently, though. Rams’ players have been talking trash throughout the week and confident that they have the upper hand on Saturday.

That’s probably not the best idea against a Buffaloes squad coming off a tough defeat. Colorado State doesn’t have the personnel in the secondary to be motivating Sanders and company. They opened the season with a 52-0 thrashing versus the Texas Longhorns in Week 1.

QB Quinn Ewers connected on 20/27 passes for 260 yards and three touchdowns. Even in a cupcake matchup against Northern Colorado last week, they allowed 187 yards and two touchdowns through the air.

Sanders should put on a show against this susceptible Rams’ defense. Do I like him against defenses that can rush the passer and frustrate him? Nope, but Colorado State doesn’t strike any fear into the Buffaloes’ offense. They don’t have a pass rush and are sketchy in the secondary.

As long as Sanders’ touchdown prop is at plus odds, he is a solid bet to pass for a minimum of three touchdowns.

You can’t make your best college football prop bets without breaking down each individual matchup! It would be a losing proposition to not take into consideration the strengths and weaknesses of each squad.

This also ties into analyzing team and NCAA statistics to help you ascertain which teams are excelling and struggling in certain areas. I have come to discover that teams rarely fix trouble spots with their roster in the same season.
