Alex Sarr of the Washington Wizards is going through some growing pains this season. He has some moments, but struggles to be a consistent threat for the Wizards in his rookie campaign.

Look for Sarr to eventually figure it out, though he isn’t in the best form right now. Sarr is averaging 11.4 points per game on 39.3% shooting from the field. The 19-year-old Frenchman has scored 11 or fewer points in six of his previous seven outings.

Sarr has shot 33.3% twice and 23.1% from the field over the last three games. Ouch. I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t heat up against a tough Milwaukee Bucks’ defense.

In 14 games in January, Sarr was ice-cold with a 38.2% field goal percentage. The 19-year-old has more growing to do as a player on the offensive floor.

Total Points: Jordan Hawkins (NOP) Over 8.5 (-125)

The New Orleans Pelicans and Dallas Mavericks square off in what should be a high-scoring battle in Texas. Both sides should see offensive fireworks, and Jordan Hawkins with a short total is worth considering.

Hawkins enters the contest averaging 10.6 points per game through 37 appearances. As a rookie in 2023-24, Hawkins scored 7.8 points per game, so he’s trending up and improving on that season.

The former UConn star has put double-digits on the board in eight of his previous 12 performances. He is coming off a strong 16-point effort against the Sacramento Kings. Hawkins notched a 62.5% field goal percentage and 60% from three.

In what is expected to be an uptempo matchup, expect Hawkins to record at least nine points against the Mavericks! As one of the best NBA player props tonight, consider Hawkins over 8.5 points.

Total Points: DeMar DeRozan (SAC) Over 19.5 (-120)

The Golden State Warriors are on the road but still in California with a trip to Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center. DeMar DeRozan appears like a sharp pick for your NBA player prop bets today.

DeRozan is in quality form this season, and I expect him to ride the hot hand against the Warriors. The former Raptor has scored 21.9 points per game on 48.7% shooting from the field. He is on a heater, with 28.6 points over his last three performances.

He’s eclipsed 20+ points in four of his previous five heading into Friday’s event at home. Last month, DeRozan buried 23.5 points per game in 14 games. He has recorded the same in eight games in February!

DeRozan should score 22 or 23 in this one, so the over is worth adding to your NBA props card tonight.
