Best NFL Parlay for Week 2: Our Picks for the Weekend

Best NFL Parlay for Week 2: Our Picks for the Weekend

You will find our best NFL parlay for every single weekend of the football season in this article. Our method is simple: we pick a few good selections and combine them for a potentially high reward.

Our goal is to find a sweet spot between realistic chances to win, high value, and exciting returns. However, you should approach NFL parlay betting carefully: the variance is much higher, so you should protect your bankroll by adjusting your stakes.

With that in mind, here’s our top NFL parlay this week (the odds are courtesy of Everygame).

Best NFL Parlay Week 2

  • Raiders (+8.5) vs. Ravens; -110
  • Lions (-7.5) vs. Buccaneers; -105
  • Chiefs to Beat Bengals; -275
  • Total Odds: +408

Reasoning for Each Leg of Our NFL Parlay This Weekend

If you want more info on how we picked each leg of our Week 2 NFL parlay, here’s our reasoning.

  1. The Ravens are coming off a hard-fought loss in the season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs. They lost by around an inch after Isaiah Likely’s toe touched the back line at the buzzer in the 4th quarter. The Chiefs were able to preserve a 27-20 victory.

While I don’t recommend selecting the Ravens outright for your NFL survivor pool picks, they could have a letdown following an emotional season opener in Kansas City. Overlooking the Raiders could be on the table in Week 2.

The Raiders are coming off a 22-10 loss to the Chargers. Gardner Minshew is an incredibly inconsistent quarterback. He couldn’t sustain any drives last week, but it wouldn’t be shocking to see him look like a different player this week. He is good at managing to look bad one week and capable the next.

Baltimore experienced a lot of turnover on their defense in the offseason. They were caught out of position at times against the Chiefs. While the Ravens are still above average, there is enough of an opening for Minshew to operate. However, most importantly, edge rusher Maxx Crosby is likely to play a big role in containing Lamar Jackson.

The Ravens win, but the Raiders hang tough to cover the point spread. Consider including them in your NFL Week 2 parlay bet!

  2. For the second consecutive week, the Lions engage in a playoff rematch this season. The Lions edged out the Rams in overtime after David Montgomery plowed into the end zone to clinch a 26-20 victory.

The Buccaneers had an easy time at home against the Commanders in a 37-20 final. However, Baker Mayfield should have a much tougher time on the road against an improved Detroit defense. The Lions’ defense improved just enough in the offseason that I like them to win the NFC Championship.

My concern for the Buccaneers in this one is their pedestrian defensive line against the best offensive line in football. Vita Vea is still a game disruptor, but the rest of the line can be inconsistent. Additionally, the Lions hold a considerable advantage with their pass rush against the Bucs’ pass blockers.

Look for the Lions to pull ahead for a 10 to 14-point win, so consider them for your best NFL Week 2 parlays this week!

  3. As was the case last season, the Bengals are off to a slow start to open the year. The Bengals went 1-3 a season ago before turning their campaign around. That was until Joe Burrow was lost for the season with a wrist injury.

He was seen flexing his hand and nursing it in the shocking 16-10 loss to the Bengals in Week 1. Burrow claims his wrist is fine, but it was a concerning sight for fans in Cincinnati.

Tee Higgins didn’t play last week, and he still isn’t practicing as of Friday. It appears that he will be absent again, which puts more pressure on Ja’Marr Chase. The Bengals lost Joe Mixon in the offseason, so they could be a one-dimensional attack before Higgins returns.

I am not convinced that the Bengals will go on the road and knock off the Chiefs in this spot. It may be closer than anticipated, but Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs will be too much. For your NFL parlay bets this week, consider including the Chiefs outright on the moneyline!
