Trevor Lawrence – Over 1.5 Passing TDs (+125)

The first bet on my list of the top NFL player prop bets for Week 2 is this wager for the Cleveland Browns vs. Jacksonville Jaguars game. Bovada has Jaguars’ quarterback Trevor Lawrence listed at +125 to throw over 1.5 passing touchdowns.

Cleveland looked unprepared in Week 1, to say the least, losing 33-17 at home to Dallas. The Browns’ defense struggled to stop the Cowboys’ offense early, allowing them to build a lead and run the ball. Cleveland’s offense did not help matters, and Deshaun Watson threw two interceptions.

Trevor Lawrence started hot in Week 1 but struggled in the second half on the road in Miami. I think he will be better this week and can exploit holes in what could be an overrated Browns’ defense. Lawrence should feel more comfortable this week and is a good bet to throw for at least two touchdowns in the Jags home opener.

The Bet
Lawrence Over 1.5 Passing TD

Lamar Jackson – Over 0.5 Interceptions  (+110)

Next on my list of the best NFL player props to make tonight is this bet on Lamar Jackson’s interception total this Sunday. The Ravens welcome the Raiders to Baltimore with both teams searching for their first win of the season.

Jackson fumbled in the Raven’s loss to the Chiefs but did not throw an interception. He is listed at +110 to throw over 0.5 interceptions in this NFL player prop for Sunday. Jackson rushed more than expected in Week 1 and had to miss practice to recover.

I expect him to pass more this week to avoid the same issue. The Raiders have a good defensive line that should cause havoc against an average, at best, Ravens offensive line. Any quarterback under duress is likelier to throw a pick, and I think Jackson will throw at least one interception this weekend.

The Bet
Jackson Over 0.5 Interceptions

JK Dobbins – Over 51.5 Rushing Yards (-127)

The Chargers started the Jim Harbaugh era with a run-heavy attack and a win. LA will hit the road this weekend and take on the Panthers in Carolina. Traveling across the country for a 1 p.m. kickoff is typically challenging for West Coast teams.

LA may struggle, even against a weak Carolina team, but one thing that should stay the same is the Chargers’ run-heavy approach. Harbaugh likes to run the ball, so Gus Edwards and JK Dobbins should get plenty of carries this Sunday.

Dobbins had two breakout runs in Week 1, finishing the game with ten carries for 135 yards. He is listed at over/under 51.5 rushing yards for this matchup against the Panthers. I think Dobbins is a good bet to hit the over on his run total this week.

The Bet
Dobbins Over 51.5 Rushing Yds

Brandin Cooks Anytime TD (+179)

One of the best anytime TD scorer bets for this weekend is for Cowboys’ wide receiver Brandin Cooks to have at least one touchdown (+179). Cooks and the Cowboys take on the New Orleans Saints this Sunday in Dallas. Both teams are riding high after blowout wins in Week 1, so this should be a good battle between the best the NFC South and NFC East have to offer.

New Orleans will need to contain CeeDee Lamb if they want a chance to pull off the upset this weekend. With the defense focused on Lamb, Cooks should reap the benefits.

He was the only Cowboys’ receiver to catch a touchdown in Week 1 and had eight TD catches last season. I think Cooks will add to his season total this weekend with at least one touchdown this Sunday against the Saints.

The Bet
Cooks Anytime TD Scorer

Ja’Marr Chase Anytime TD (+140)

One of the best games of Week 2 is the Cincinnati Bengals vs. the Kansas City Chiefs. Both teams have realistic hopes of winning the AFC Conference this season. This game features multiple stars on both sides of the ball, including wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase.

He is listed at +140 to score this Sunday, making him one of the best TD scorer bets to make today. The Bengals’ offense looked terrible in Week 1, losing to the lowly Patriots. Cincinnati should be better this weekend and give the defending champs a run for their money.

The Chiefs have held Chase without a touchdown in their last two matchups, but he scored three times in his first game against Kansas City. With Tee Higgins questionable to play, the Bengals need Chase to shoulder a heavier load this week. Considering that, I believe Chase will find the endzone against the Chiefs.

The Bet
Chase Anytime TD

TJ Watt – 2+ Sacks (+250)

The Steelers vs. Broncos game is unlikely to feature much offense, but it will feature one of the best defensive players in football. TJ Watt will attempt to add to his latest Defensive Player of the Year candidacy with a big game in Denver.

Watt is listed at -286 to have at least one sack and is available at +250 to have two or more sacks. Denver allowed two sacks last week in their season-opening loss to Seattle. Watt had just one sack against the Falcons last Sunday, but he was a terror throughout the game and had several big plays called back because of penalties.

Rookie Bo Nix struggled in his first start for the Broncos last week, and I expect more of the same this Sunday against Pittsburgh’s defense. As the leader of that unit, Watt should have a big game with multiple sacks in Week 2.

The Bet
Watt 2+ sacks

Stefon Diggs 1+ TDs and Houston Wins (+215)

My final NFL Week 2 player prop recommendation is for Texans’ wide receiver Stefon Diggs to have at least one touchdown and for Houston to win. This player double prop wager is listed at +215 odds in the latest NFL Week 2 odds at Bovada.

The Texans face the Bears on Sunday Night Football in Houston. Chicago’s defense and special teams led them to a comeback win over the Titans last week. Diggs and the rest of the Texans’ offense will be a much tougher test for Chicago.

Houston is a -285 favorite at home, and Diggs is listed at +160 to have at least one touchdown in Bovada’s NFL player prop projections. The star caught both of CJ Stroud’s touchdown passes in Week 1 and should be his favorite red zone target again against Chicago. Considering that, I think this player prop double is worth the risk.

The Bet
Diggs 1+ TDs Houston Wins
