Here are our WTA betting predictions for today.

Alexandra Eala vs Iga Swiatek: Under 18.5 Games (-165)

Wednesday’s Miami Open quarterfinals sees two players on opposite ends of the WTA Rankings meet in 140th Alexandra Eala and 2nd-ranked Iga Swiatek.

It’s the first-ever meeting between the two and while neither has won a title in 2025, the gulf in experience is massive with Swiatek having won 22 WTA Tour titles, compared to zero for Eala.

Eala, 19, is turning heads and cashing big for anyone who’s backed her in Miami so far. She’s already defeated 73rd-ranked Katie Volynets, 6-3, 7-6(3), 25th-ranked Jelena Ostapenko, 7-6(2), 7-5, and 5th-ranked Madison Keys, 6-4, 6-2. In the Round of 16, she earned a walkover win over Paula Badosa.

After defeating Ostapenko, she became the first WTA player from the Philippines to defeat a top 30 player, and then did so again by defeating Keys.

The relatively unknown Eala, who previously had only played in the Singapore Tennis Open and a 125-level event in Mumbai since the Aussie Open, came to the Miami Open having yet to win a match on the main WTA Tour.

The odds aren’t in Eala’s favor of continuing the upsets though. She’s a +1100 underdog to Swiatek (-2500), at Bovada, one of our recommended tennis betting sites for the Miami Open.

Swiatek is 21-5 on the year, hasn’t lost a set yet in Miami and has only lost two sets across her past eight matches, those being in her semifinals loss at Indian Wells to eventual champion Mirra Andreeva. In Miami, she defeated Caroline Garcia, 6-2, 7-5, Elise Mertens, 7-6(2), 6-1, and Elina Svitolina, 7-6(5), 6-3.

The game spread for her match with Eala is set at seven games, which would be more than the six, six and four games she’s won by so far, however, all versus stronger opponents.

Swiatek is the obvious favorite, but offers little betting value. She should easily advance, however, Eala is more rested and has already taken out the 2025 Australian Open champion in Keys. We’ll stay away from the game spread and bet the alternate total under 18.5 games for today’s tennis predictions.

Under 18.5 Games

Emma Raducanu vs Jessica Pegula: Raducanu +3.5 Games (-115)

The Miami Open odds make 6th-ranked Jessica Pegula the betting favorite at -215 odds over 60th-ranked Emma Raducanu.

Pegula has started 2025 strong with an 18-5 record, and one title under her belt. After winning the ATX Open on March 2, she’s only lost one match in her last 11, losing in the Round of 16 at Indian Wells to Elina Svitolina. She’s also only dropped four sets in those 11 matches and just one in Miami, winning 6-4, 6-4, 6-7(3, 6-2, 7-6(2) and 6-2, 6-3 last round.

2025 has been mediocre for Raducanu, who is just 7-6, though she’s now won four straight matches in Miami and with relative ease. Her Round of 16 match with Emma Navarro went the distance, needing a third-set tiebreaker. However, she won 6-2, 6-1 in the opening round, advanced by walkover in the Round of 32, while leading 6-1, 3-0, and then swept aside Amanda Anisimova, 6-1, 6-3 in the Round of 16.

This is the third meeting between the two and each has won once. Pegula won in two sets in 2022, and Raducanu in three sets last year in Eastbourne, 4-6, 7-6(6), 7-5.

Pegula is the stronger player, but Raducanu seems to have caught some good form herself and their last meeting was close and decided by just one game. Therefore, we’re backing Raducanu to cover the game spread of +3.5 for our Miami Open tennis picks.

The Bet
Raducanu +3.5
