Argentina vs. Ecuador Odds, Prediction, and Betting Pick

  • Argentina to win (-226)
  • Ecuador to win (+746)
  • Draw (+308)
  • Argentina to progress (-600)
  • Ecuador to progress (+400)
  • Over 2.5 (+125)
  • Under 2.5 (-165)

Starting off with our closer look at the best Copa America quarterfinals betting odds is the match Argentina vs. Ecuador. Argentina topped group A with three straight win, 5 goals scored and 0 conceded; a pretty sweet group stage tally!

Lautaro Martinez is the undisputed top goalscorer so far. He scored 4 goals and will be eyeing his fifth against Ecuador. Knowing how poor the Ecuadorian defensive line has been over the last few games, I wouldn’t be half surprised if Martinez pushes his tally to 5 or even 6 goals.

Ecuador, on the other hand, finished second with the same number of points as Mexico (4) but with a slightly superior goal difference. In total, Sanchez’s men have scored 4 and conceded 3. Not the best goal difference, especially when you weren’t in the group with any of the big boys.

Despite Ecuador having a solid team, there’s just no way I can go against the Argentinians here. They’ve been spectacular in the group stage and have an open path to the finals.

If they can defeat Ecuador in the QF, they’ll be going up against the better of Venezuela and Canada… and realistically speaking, that could be another walk in the park for Messi and the co.

I expect to see something like -300 for Argentina to win this one in regular time, so the -226 available at BetUS is great value.

The Bet
Argentina to win

Venezuela vs. Canada Odds, Prediction, and Betting Pick

  • Venezuela to win (+160)
  • Canada to win (+195)
  • Draw (+200)
  • Venezuela to progress (-130)
  • Canada to progress (+100)
  • Over 2.5 (+135)
  • Under 2.5 (-175)

Next up, Venezuela vs. Canada. Two featherweights going at it in a land of heavyweights. No matter which of the two qualifies for the semifinals, they will be in the role of massive underdogs. Looking back at their historical endeavors, it’s safe to say both teams are used to such roles.

On paper, Venezuela has the slightest advantage, mostly because of the fact they won all three of their matches. However, I wouldn’t count on Canada to bottle this one. They have a great defense and lots of pace across the pitch. The lack of elite finishing is the only major issue.

Venezuela, on the other hand, have been one of the most prolific teams in the group stage. Mind you, Venezuela’s 6:1 goals tally and 3 straight wins in the group stage came out of nowhere.

They weren’t in the best form coming into the tournament but shocked everyone with splendid performances. They only conceded one goal, meaning their defensive line is quite disciplined. It will be interesting to see how Canadians plan on creating chances.

At the end of it all, I just have to side with a draw here. It’s an even match and no one will take risks in the last 20 minutes if the score is tied. Knockout games often end in draws, especially when the two teams are fairly even.

The Bet
Draw

Uruguay vs. Brazil Odds, Prediction and Betting Pick

  • Uruguay to win (+180)
  • Brazil to win (+155)
  • Draw (+230)
  • Over 2.5 (+128)
  • Under 2.5 (-152)

Moving on with the best Copa America quarterfinals predictions, let’s talk about the best quarterfinals clash we could’ve hoped for – Uruguay vs. Brazil!

On paper, Brazil is the slightest of favorites. However, these two couldn’t be any closer than they are at the moment. Individually, I’ll dare to say Brazil has the superior set of players. However, Uruguay seems to be in far better form and work well under Bielsa’s strict guidance.

Uruguay’s group stage performances were thrilling, to say the least. 9 scored goals and just 1 conceded. Sure, they were in a group with Panama, Bolivia, and the US, but that doesn’t take much away from the fact they were clinical in front of the goal.

Furthermore, they’re very compact and disciplined on the defensive end too. That was perfectly evident in their match against the US where they managed to keep a clean sheet thanks to Ronald Araujo’s brilliant performance.

On the other end of the field, another Araujo (Maxi) kept creating chance after chance, scoring two and assisting one. Nunez isn’t far behind him with 2 goals, with the likes of Pellistri and Vina sitting at 1 goal and 1 assist each.

As for the Brazilians, I’m not quite sure what to say about them. Coming into the tournament, I expected them to take control over the South American soccer stage, only for them to be shook to the core in the opener. Yes, they did come back with style against Paraguay, but they didn’t show much in the final group stage match against Colombia. Overall, Brazil collected just 5 points in the group stage, scoring 5 and conceding 2.

At the end of the day, I’ll be going with a simple both teams to score bet. Knowing how good of an attacking presence both teams have, it’s a logical choice. At +100, it offers splendid value too!

If you’re aiming a bit higher, you can always combine it with over 2.5 goals for a nice little two-fold parlay. That additional bet would significantly improve your total return.

The Bet
Both teams to score

Colombia vs. Panama Odds, Prediction, and Betting Pick

  • Colombia to win (-303)
  • Panama to win (+880)
  • Draw (+400)
  • Over 2.5 (-120)
  • Under 2.5 (+102)

The final Copa America quarterfinal match is set between Colombia and Panama. Let’s take a closer look at both teams to figure out if there are any Copa America quarterfinals picks worth our while!

Colombia, a seasoned South American powerhouse with experienced players going up against the biggest surprise of the tournaments – Panama.

That’s right, the North American minor managed to qualify for the playoffs from group C, following triumphant victories against the US and Bolivia. Now that Christiansen’s men are in the knockout stage, though, it’s difficult to see them as complete outsiders.

Granted, Panama’s players are playing domestic soccer all year long. Several experienced Colombians, on the other hand, play in top European clubs like Liverpool, (Diaz), Crystal Palace (Munoz and Lerma), Aston Villa (Duran), and many others.

Just take a look at both teams’ market value and all will be clear. On one end, we have Panama with less than $25 million estimated value for all of their players combined. On the other end, we have Colombia with over $280 million. The difference in player quality is easily noticeable.

However, Panama have already punched above their weight twice. They’re the reason USA got eliminated on home soil without even reaching the knockout stage. Can Christiansen’s men cause another upset and reach the semifinals?

I really doubt it. No matter the final result of this one, I reckon Panama fans will be happy with their team’s performances. After all, winning two games in the group stage reaching the knockout stage ought to mean a lot for such a small country!

Even if the players do their best against Colombia, this opponent is on a completely different level.

Still, betting on the moneyline doesn’t seem like the most valuable bet. The same goes for over 2.5 goals. Colombia to win and both teams to score at +240 is very tempting, since Panama mostly got here by scoring lots of goals. They can find the net again, even if I expect them to lose against the big gun.

The Bet
Colombia to win and both to score
