Daytona 500 Favorites in 2025

The Daytona 500 is the official start of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series. Four of the best drivers of recent memory are tied for the best odds to win this year’s Harley J. Earl Trophy.

Brad Keselowski (+1200)

    • Team: RFK Racing
    • Manufacturer: Ford
    • Crew Chief: Matt McCall
    • Final 2024 Rank: 13th

Brad Keselowski had 14 top-10 finishes in 2024 but only claimed the top spot in one race. His win at the 2024 Goodyear 400 ended a 110-race winless streak. His performance at Daytona International Speedway was less impressive, coming in 33rd place with a DNF designation.

Keselowski did not finish the 2024 race, but he did complete 191 of the 200 laps. However, after moving into second, Keselowski crashed and caused a major pile-up. It was his fourth wreck in the Daytona 500 since 2018.

Keselowski had a less-than-stellar start to the year. On February 2nd, he finished 21st in the Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium. He started the race in fifth place but did not lead for a single lap.

There are better options available, so I don’t recommend backing him to win the race.

Joey Logano (+1200)

    • Team: Team Penske
    • Manufacturer: Ford
    • Crew Chief: Paul Wolfe
    • Final 2024 Rank: 1st

Two drivers from Team Penske are also listed at 12-1 odds to win the 2025 Daytona 500. The first is Joey Logano, who won the NASCAR Cup Series last year, his second title in the previous three seasons. Logano won in Daytona in 2015 and has finished in the top 10 five times since.

On many occasions, Logano has come close to winning his second Harley J. Earl Trophy but has struggled to finish the race. Last year, for instance, the driver had pole position and led the race for 46 laps but was one of the 23 drivers eliminated in the wreck on lap 192.

He came close in 2023 as well, finishing second to Ricky Stenhouse Jr. in double overtime in a race full of multi-car wrecks. In his first appearance in 2025, Logano started in 7th at the Cook Out Clash and finished the race in fourth.

Ryan Blaney (+1200)

  • Team: Team Penske
  • Manufacturer: Ford
  • Crew chief: Jonathan Hassler
  • Final 2024 Rank: 2nd

The other Team Penske driver tied for the best 2025 Daytona 500 betting odds is Ryan Blaney. He has come in second multiple times, but Blaney is still looking for his first Daytona 500 win. He won the NASCAR Cup Series in 2023 and finished second last year.

Like his teammate Logano, Blaney was one of the over 20 drivers eliminated in the wreck on lap 192 during last year’s race. Before the wreck, Blaney was in fifth place and was one of the first cars caught in the pile-up.

Winning in Daytona would be the perfect way to put a slow 2024 in his rearview mirror. Blaney’s first win last year did not come until the 2024 Iowa Corn 350. He nearly won in North Carolina, starting in 23rd and finishing second behind Chase Elliot.

Blaney will be eager to win the Daytona 500 and is in fine form, so I expect a strong performance.

Kyle Busch (+1200)

  • Team: Richard Childress Racing
  • Manufacturer: Chevrolet
  • Crew Chief: Randall Burnett
  • Final 2024 Rank: 20th

Rounding out the four drivers tied for best odds to win the 2025 Daytona 500 is Kyle Busch. He is entering his third year with Richard Childress Racing after spending the bulk of his NASCAR career with Joe Gibbs Racing. Busch finished 12th last year, his best so far at Daytona since joining his new team.

Despite ten top 10 finishes in 2024, Busch did not win a race in last year’s Cup Series. His last win came at the 2023 Enjoy Illinois 300. Busch’s lack of victories caused him to finish 20th in the Cup Series rankings last year, his lowest finish since 2005.

Busch had a lackluster showing at Bowman Gray Stadium earlier this month. He started in 13th place but slid to 15th by the time the 200-lap race was over. He must do significantly better on Sunday to have a chance to win the Daytona 500, but I’m not confident that will happen.

Top Longshots for the Daytona 500 in 2025

Underdogs should not be counted out in a race like the Daytona 500. Here are two sleeper picks to watch for this weekend’s race.

  1. 1. Chase Elliott (+1400)

Chase Elliot is one of the Hendrick Motorsports drivers listed in the top 10. He is currently available at 14-1 odds to win the Daytona 500. Elliott has only cracked the top-five at this event once, when he finished second in 2021.

Despite his lack of success so far, Elliott should have plenty of momentum on Sunday. He won the 2025 Cook Out Clash, leading 171 of the 200 laps. The only question now is whether Elliott can pull off a similar performance in Daytona.

  2. 2. Tyler Reddick (+3000)

Another sleeper to keep an eye on for this year’s Daytona 500 is Tyler Reddick. BetUS lists Reddick at 30-1 odds to win his first Harley J. Earl Trophy. So far in his career, Reddick has raced in this event six times prior to his appearance on Sunday.

He is no stranger to the competition, but Reddick has not had a lot of success in the event. In his previous six appearances, Reddick has never cracked the top 25.

That’s the main reason for the high odds, but his 4th place in the NASCAR Cup Series last year clearly shows Reddick is a talented driver. He also finished first in the regular season, so +3000 for a driver of such a caliber is just too high to ignore.

2025 Daytona 500 Predictions and Betting Pick

Only one of the dozens of talented drivers in Daytona can take home the 2025 Harley J. Earl Trophy. My Daytona 500 winner prediction is Ryan Blaney (+1200). He finished second overall in the Cup Series last year and would have finished much higher in Daytona if not for the crash late in the race.

Despite his other career successes, Blaney is still searching for his first Daytona 500 victory. He came up short last year, but his second-place finish at the Cook Out Clash shows he is ready for another try.

Best 2025 Daytona 500 Prop Bets

In addition to betting on the outright winner of the Daytona 500, BetUS also has thrilling prop odds for this year’s event.

Top 3 Finish Odds and Prediction

    • Ryan Blaney (+400)
    • Kyle Busch (+400)
    • Brad Keselowski (+400)
    • Joey Logano (+400)
    • William Byron (+450)

Picking the winner of any NASCAR Cup Series race is challenging. That is why many NASCAR fans like betting on a top three, top five, or top 10 finish for their favorite drivers instead.

Ryan Blaney, Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski, and Joey Logano are all tied at 4-1 odds to have a top-three finish. William Byron, Chase Elliott, Denny Hamlin, and Kyle Larson are tied for the fifth-best odds at +450.

Blaney is my pick to win, and I recommend sticking with him in this bet, too. Any of the top four favorites are great options in this bet, though.

Winning Manufacturer Odds and Prediction

    • Chevrolet (+125)
    • Ford (+160)
    • Toyota (+275)

You can also wager on the manufacturer of the winning car. Chevrolet is the +125 favorite, with Ford a close second at +160. Toyota rounds out the options at +275.

My recommendation is to align this wager with the driver you think is going to win, especially if there are multiple other contenders in the same manufacturer.

With Blaney and Logano in a Ford (+ many others, of course), this is the best bet here.

Winning Car Number Odds and Prediction

    • Over 19.5 (-115)
    • Under 19.5 (-115)

Betting on the winning car’s number is another popular Daytona 500 prop. BetUS has the over/under set at 19.5, with both options available at -115.

Blaney drives number 12, and Elliot, my top sleeper pick, drives the number 9 car. Many other top contenders, including Keselowski and Bush, are also in the “under” category, so I’m going for this one.

The Bet
Under 19.5

Team of 2025 Daytona 500 Winner

    • Hendrick Motorsports (+400)
    • Team Penske (+450)
    • Joe Gibbs Racing (+500)
    • RFK Racing (+700)
    • 23XI Racing (+1000)
    • Richard Childress Racing (+1000)
    • Trackhouse Racing (+1000)

BetUS also offers odds on the winning racing team this weekend. Hendrick Motorsports has three drivers in the top eight of the updated Daytona 500 odds and is the favorite at +400. Team Penske is a close second at +450, and Joe Gibbs Racing rounds out the top three at 5-1.

Having three of the top Daytona 500 favorites gives Hendrick Motorsports an advantage. However, with Blaney and Joey Logano on Team Penske, the value is on that team.
