Premier League Golden Glove Odds and Predictions for 2024-25

The 2024-25 English Premier Golden Glove odds have three clear favorites at the top: David Raya (Arsenal), Ederson (Man City), and Alisson (Liverpool). They are the most likely to record the most clean sheets, which is how the award is determined.

The top soccer betting sites don’t expect another goalie to come close, but are their EPL Golden Glove odds accurate? Keep reading to find my analysis of all realistic contenders and Premier League Golden Glove predictions for the 2024-25 season.

EPL Golden Glove Odds for 2024-25

Last year, Arsenal’s David Raya won the EPL Golden Glove award somewhat surprisingly. We didn’t even know he would be the Gunners’ number 1 before the season, let alone win the prize.

This time around, he’s the top candidate, not just thanks to his goalkeeping performances, but because of Arsenal’s wonderful defensive efforts. Can he win the award back-to-back? Here’s what the English Premier League betting odds at BetUS look like:

GoalkeeperOdds
David Raya+200
Ederson+350
Alisson+550
Emi Martinez+1400
Jordan Pickford+1400
Andre Onana+1600
Nick Pope+1600

As you can see, only the top three teams’ goalkeepers are supposed to be in the mix for the 2024-25 English Premier League Golden Glove award. If you’ll be placing any bets here, a smart choice would be opting for one of them.

Still, BetUS offer Golden Glove prices on 20+ goalkeepers, so check them out if you’re interested in a sleeper.

English Premier League Golden Glove 2024-25 Top Contenders

Here’s what you need to know about each of the top three Golden Glove contenders for the 2024-25 Premier League season.

David Raya (+200)

2023-24 Clean Sheets: 16

David Raya is the current EPL Golden Glove winner and the go-to favorite for winning back-to-back awards. Arsenal kept and even improved its defensive core safe and sound. Manager Mikel Arteta will be hoping to finish above City after two second-place finishes, and his defense will be the key in the pursuit of the EPL title.

The experienced Raya typically doesn’t have too much work, courtesy of Saliba, Gabriel, Declan Rice, and the hard-working nature of the team as a whole.

Once the Spaniard’s trouble, though, you can rest assured he’ll make his moments count. So, for that reason, I just have to emphasize him as the first choice here. The defense will be as strong as last year, probably even stronger with Calafiori’s arrival.

In fact, my 2024/25 EPL Golden Glove predictions are quite clear – David Raya to win the award at +200. If you’ll be betting on the EPL Golden Glove 2024/25 options, you now know where my money will be.

Still, let’s take a look at the other top goalies, so you understand my prediction better.

Ederson (+350)

2023-24 Clean Sheets: 10

Punters are likely to appreciate the soccer betting odds on Ederson (+350) to win the EPL Golden Glove. Last season, Manchester City’s goalie finished the season with 10 clean sheets. It was the combined third-best together with Fulham’s Bernd Leno. Obviously, the Brazilian goalie will be hoping to improve his record this time around.

It’s important to note that Ederson missed a few games because of injuries last year, which impacted on his clean sheets number. He would still finish behind Raya, but it would’ve been closer.

With Man City nicely poised for another title run, Pep will have to work on his team’s defensive strengths. Still, the champions were a step behind Arsenal defensively last season, and I expect them to stay there.

Alisson (+550)

2023-24 Clean Sheets: 8

Last but not least among the main challengers, Alisson. Last season under Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool finished third in what was a strong season for initially, only to end in disappointment.

Part of Liverpool’s woes was the defense. The Reds conceded 41 goals, which is way too many for a title contender. To put things into perspective, Man City conceded 34 and Arsenal just 29.

This season under Arne Slot, I don’t expect much to change. Liverpool will still remain a top 4 side and close to the top 2. I even expect a slightly better defensive record, but the gap to Arsenal and City is too big right now.

If you want to go for a sleeper, a few other goalies provide better value.

English Premier League Golden Glove Betting Sleepers

If you’re just interested in the most realistic options, it’s just Raya, Ederson, and maybe Alisson for you. It would be hard for any other EPL team to come close to their defensive efficiency.

Still, the likes of Emi Martinez and Jordan Pickford deserve some attention. Everton’s goalie was second with 13 clean sheets last year. His team will still rely on strong defense in 2024-25, so Pickford should get 10+ clean sheets.

Martinez had 8 with Aston Villa last year and is one of the most underrated goalkeepers in the world. However, he will be playing in the Champions League this season, so Villa will likely struggle to perform on two fronts.

I don’t think anyone else is even worth considering, simply because no team would be able to match Arsenal and Man City defensively.

2024/25 Golden Glove Predictions and Betting Pick

Now let’s get to the 2024-25 Golden Glove predictions. Arteta’s tactical prowess coupled with the likes of David Raya, William Saliba, and Declan Rice ensure Arsenal’s defensive efforts are always at an admirable level. Last time out, Raya won the Golden Glove award with 3 clean sheets more than Everton’s Pickford.

Next season, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see the Spaniard on top of the clean sheet standings again. The 2024-25 Golden Glove betting odds of +200 for Raya are high enough for me to back Arsenal’s number one.
