Still, the door to the Championship is open for a few other teams. Let’s explore the odds to get relegated from the EPL, the most likely teams to finish in the last three, and my Premier League relegation betting predictions!

I’ve only limited the EPL odds for relegation to the most realistic contenders, but the bookmaker offers prices on all teams. Two of the three newcomers are leading the way: Leicester and Ipswich.
They are followed by Everton and the third club that just won promotion, Southampton. Nottingham Forest completes the list of most likely relegation candidates, and there’s a bit of a gap after that.

Top Favorites for Premier League Relegation in 2024-25
Following the departures of Luton, Burnley, and Sheffield United and the returns of Leicester, Ipswich, and Southampton, the EPL has a new set of candidates likely set for relegation at the end of the season.
Unsurprisingly, recently promoted teams are topping the charts, marking the difference in expected quality coming into the elite English soccer league. Here’s what you need to know about the key contenders, based on the 2024-25 EPL Relegation betting odds!
Leicester (-225)
Leicester’s catastrophic 2022-23 season ended up in their relegation to the EFL Championship. Just six years following their Premier League winning campaign, mind you. Luckily, they weren’t there for too long. All it took was a single season in the Championship to get right back up to the top.
Now that they’re back, the bookies expect them to go down once again. According to the current EPL relegation odds, Leicester are the biggest favorites to get relegated again at -225. This price equals a probability of 69.23%.
I’m not sure the oddsmakers are right for this one. The odds are just too low and there’s absolutely no value going against the Foxes, who are coming off a Championship-winning season. They aced the competition and clinched the top spot with 97 points, just above Ipswich in second with 96.
Leicester had the best defensive record with just 41 conceded goals and the second-best offensive record with 89 scored goals. The level will be different, but the club has done interesting steps to prepare.
They signed a promising winger from Sporting – Issahaku Fatawu as well as a strong center back from Atalanta Caleb Okoli. Both are young, 20 and 22 respectively, meaning they might make their names known at the King Power Stadium.
On top of that, the squad is full of players with EPL experience. Leicester might still go down, but there are better EPL relegation betting options.
Ipswich (-120)
Another team that could see the EPL exit door this season is Ipswich. They finished second in the EFL Championship last season with a solid goal difference. The team delivered the best attacking performance with 92 scored goals in 46 matches. In the end, they finished just a point below Leicester, the EFL Championship winner.

According to the EPL Relegation odds, Ipswich are second in line, right after Leicester. I can see where the bookies are coming from, but the price looks too low for my taste.
It was a solid squad to start with and the additions of Delap, Greaves, Hutchinson, and others provide more depth and quality. Ipswich might end up staying in the EPL for a season or two, so -120 is just not high enough to bet on them to go down.
Southampton (+150)
Southampton wasn’t that good last season. They finished fourth in the EFL Championship, scoring 87 (third-best goalscoring team) but conceding whopping 63 goals. All season long, Russell Martin’s men struggled at the back.
They hovered around the position leading to the EPL for quite a while. In the end, they finished fourth and, to the surprise of many, managed to qualify through the playoffs.
Southampton brought Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Flynn Downes to support their defense. I don’t expect them to have a big enough immediate impact, though. This team was leaking goals left and right in the Championship, just imagine what would happen against elite opponents in the EPL.
Even if the defense is slightly better because of the new signings, Southampton is a strong candidate to go down. At +150, it’s hard to argue with the value here.
Everton (+120)
Despite playing in the top English football league more seasons than any other team out there, Everton could easily be relegated this season. They’ve narrowly avoided the drop several times already in the last five years. If they keep this up, they’re likely to get burned sooner rather than later.
The club already sold Amadou Onana to Ason Villa for almost €60m, and they’ll likely have to sell even more players before the end of the transfer window.

The deals should improve the club’s financial situation, but chances are they might face additional deductions, just like last season. Even if the Toffees play well enough to avoid the last three spots, the points deduction could get the better of them.
The odds of +120 are fairly low, though, so I don’t see enough value in this price. Sean Dyche is still there, and I trust him to put up a good fight. Everton could definitely survive, especially if the newcomers struggle.
More EPL Relegation Candidates
If the four aforementioned candidates aren’t good enough for you, it’s worth noting a few more names. Mainly, Nottingham Forest, a team that narrowly escaped relegation last season.
Forest finished 17th with just 6 points to spare, so it was close. On the bright side, their transfer window was pretty good! They brought in Elliot Anderson (who had 21 games for Newcastle last season), Nikola Milenkovic from Fiorentina, and Jota Silva from Vitoria Guimares, among several others. Forest have the quality to stay without much of a hassle.
Another team to consider is Brentford because of last season’s inconsistencies. Ivan Toney is still there, but the 26-year-old could be looking for greener pastures in a slightly bigger EPL team, especially following his UEFA performances for the Three Lions. Still, it feels like the club as a whole is stable enough to avoid relegation.
I see Fulham next in the odds, but they have a fantastic squad, a great manager, and an EPL Golden Glove betting sleeper, so I would advise against betting on them to get relegated.
2024-25 Relegation Predictions and Betting Pick
In my books, predictions for relegation from Premier League are slightly easier than predicting the EPL winner. After all, there’s only one title but there three relegation spots. It’s simple math!
For this season, I expect Southampton to be among the three teams to get relegated to the EFL Championship. Their defensive efforts last season were absolutely disgraceful. Yes, I know they clinched promotion in the end, but they conceded 63 goals in the Championship.
Improving to an EPL level defense, which is absolutely vital if you want to stay, is close to impossible in one transfer window. The odds of +150 are too high to ignore, so that’s my final EPL relegation prediction.
