EURO 2024 Final Betting Odds, Analysis, and Pick: Spain vs. England

The EURO 2024 Final odds suggest that England will be an underdog for the first time in the tournament. The best soccer betting sites give Spain a slight edge, which is understandable based on the sides’ performances so far.

Who will win the final on Saturday? Check out my analysis of the odds and both sides below. If you read to the end, you will also find my Spain vs. England prediction and betting pick.

Spain vs. England Betting Odds

The following Spain vs. England odds are courtesy of Bovada.

Spain to win+150
England to win+230
Draw+190
Spain to lift the trophy-140
England to lift the trophy+115
Over 2 goals-115
Under 2 goals-105

Spain is a slight favorite to win in regular time and lift the trophy, but England is not far behind. The totals market is also interesting, because the line is set only at 2 goals. The bookies don’t expect many goals in this one, mostly because of how England’s games have gone so far.

Spain – The Future Is Now

Spain’s current group of players is the most balanced since the golden generation that dominated the soccer world in the 2000s. They control the ball in large periods of the game but not in the harmless way we saw in previous tournaments.

This team can instantly change the pace to create danger. A chance can come from a clever pass from the likes of Olmo, Ruiz, and Rodri, or in a burst of pace and dribbling skills from the flanks.

Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal are sublime players, who are mature way beyond their age. The wingers are bold, fast, and selfless.

The best part about Spain is the lack of fear. Georgia opened the scoring against them in the Round of 16, only to lose by 4-1. Germany struck back late to force extra time, but the Spaniards didn’t panic and finished them before the penalty shootout, even if they were playing without Yamal and Williams.

They were backs against the wall in the semifinals, too, when France struck early to take the lead. The response was instant: Spain scored two world-class goals within 20 minutes and the opposition couldn’t recover.

The only potential issue going to the final is the health of two players. Striker and captain Alvaro Morata suffered an injury in a bizarre accident with a security guard, while Pedri is out after getting injured against Germany.

Still, I don’t think any of these two players is critical for Spain’s chances. I still expect from the midfield to control the tempo and create opportunities for the wingers to shine. Spain have the quality and confidence to hurt England time and time again.

England – Impossible to Evaluate

England’s performance in the EUROs so far is almost impossible to evaluate. On the bright side, the team is in the final and one match away from winning their first major trophy since 1966.

At the same time, they were lucky against inferior opponents and could’ve easily gone home earlier. The run to the final includes games against Slovakia, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.

I respect these nations, but Spain had to beat Georgia, Germany, and France to get there, a much stronger group.

Furthermore, Southgate’s selections have been questionable, to say the least. Some praise him for bringing Ollie Watkins in the semifinal, after the Villa striker scored a fantastic winner.

At the same time, Watkins’ 15 minutes against the Netherlands were the only time he was on the pitch in the tournament so far. Surely, a guy who delivered 19 goals and 13 assists to help Villa upset the odds and finish fourth in the EPL deserves more playing time?

It’s obvious that England has a very strong group of players, but getting to this point has been mostly down to luck and moments of individual brilliance. That could be enough for the title, but I trust Spain’s well-oiled machine better.

Spain vs. England Prediction and Betting Pick

I’ve been backing Spain and doubting England since the start of the eliminations. I see no reasons to change my mind at this point, especially since the odds for Spain to win in regular time are so high.

+150 for the team that has performed significantly better so far is great value and the best betting pick for the EURO 2024 Final. Spain’s young and hungry team should dismantle the unconvincing England side.
