Happy Gilmore 2 Odds – Who Will Appear and Other Prop Bets

Happy Gilmore 2 has been confirmed, and you can find various betting odds on the movie. Christopher McDonald, who played Shooter McGavin, let it slip that Adam Sandler had a first draft of the sequel’s script.

Happy Gilmore is renowned as a classic among fans of sports movies, especially those that love golf. The original was released in February 1996 and brought in $41.2 million on a budget of $12 million. It’s also one of those movies where, if you still have cable, and it’s on, you’ll stop and watch it.

I can’t wait for the movie to be released, as I’ve already predicted whether Happy Gilmore 2 will be rated Fresh at Rotten Tomatoes. Today, I’m going to take a look at the Happy Gilmore 2 betting odds for who will appear in the sequel, and who will win in the next Happy/Shooter showdown. I’ll give you my best bets at end of each section!

When is Happy Gilmore 2 Coming Out?

There is no release date as of August 2024 for Happy Gilmore 2, but we do know that it will be released on Netflix.

Sandler started working with Netflix in January 2016 and has since appeared in 14 films for the streaming giant, along with a 2018 stand-up special.

His roles have ranged from the typical Sandler fare, such as Hubie Halloween and The Ridiculous 6, to, dramatic roles in Hustle and The Meyerowitz Stories.

He’s also done a pair of comedy/crime movies with Jennifer Aniston in Murder Mystery and the sequel. Sandler has even gotten his family in on the action. You Are So Not Invited to My Bay Mitzvah starred Sandler, his wife Jackie, and his daughters, Sunny and Sadie, alongside Idina Menzel.

Sandler’s movies also do very well on Netflix. Murder Mystery is 19th all-time in Netflix streaming hours, and the sequel was top-10 in 90 countries around the world when it was released in March 2023. It is a very lucrative relationship between Netflix and Sandler.

It is reported that Sandler made $250 million for his first four-picture deal in 2014, then it was renewed in 2017, and again in 2020. By that timeline, it must be almost time for a new contract for the “Sandman”.

Now that you know some details about the movie, let’s talk about betting odds!

Odds to Appear in Happy Gilmore 2

CELEBRITYODDS
Dan Patrick-5000
Rob Schneider-2500
Allen Covert-1000
Ben Stiller-400
Drew Barrymore-250
Steve Buscemi-175
Tiger Woods-150
John DalyEVEN
Henry Winkler+175
Tim Meadows+175
Bill Murray+200
Billy Idol+200
Rickie Fowler+400
Will Ferrell+450
Bryson DeChambeau+500
Travis Kelce+500
Jason Kelce+550

We also don’t have a Happy Gilmore 2 cast list as of August 2024. All we know is that Sandler will be there, and McDonald will be reprising his role as Gilmore’s rival, Shooter McGavin. But apart from that, it’s all a mystery.

However, by analyzing these Happy Gilmore 2 betting odds, we can make some wagers. Dan Patrick at -5000 offers no value, so I wouldn’t recommend betting on it, but you can be sure he’ll be in the movie.

Patrick, a longtime sports personality, has made cameos in 16 Sandler-associated movies dating back to The Waterboy in 1998.

Rob Schneider is also a pass at -2500, despite my opinion that he’ll be in it. Schneider and Sandler go back to Saturday Night Live, and he is in at least 16 Sandler movies. You can pass on Allen Covert at -1000 as well, but again, the longtime Sandler associate (the two went to New York University together) will likely be there.

So, whose Happy Gilmore 2 betting odds do I like? I like Ben Stiller at -400 to play Hal L., who ran the nursing home where Gilmore’s grandmother stayed. I also like Tiger Woods at -150, but John Daly at EVEN odds has a little more value.

Bill Murray is a virtual lock at +200, given that he’s an avid golfer who is always at the celebrity tournaments, and Murray and Sandler share a common thread as they were on SNL, albeit at different times.

I’m also high on the Kelce brothers, Travis and Jason, at +500 and +550, respectively. Travis is dating pop icon Taylor Swift, but he also showed some comedy chops in his 2023 SNL hosting appearance.

Travis is also a passionate golfer, appearing with Kansas City Chiefs’ teammate Patrick Mahomes in various celebrity tournaments. Jason, who recently retired from the NFL, played with his brother at this year’s American Century Classic. These two would be a riot in Happy Gilmore 2.

There are also more people listed by Bovada, including Chris Rock (+1000), Kristen Wiig (+1000), Amy Poehler (+1500), Chevy Chase (+1500), and Maya Rudolph (+1500). These are all SNL alumni, while Rock and Rudolph were in the Sandler film Grown Ups, and the sequel. Rock could make an appearance, but I wouldn’t add the comedian to my Happy Gilmore 2 predictions.

While they’re not listed in the odds, I would also expect there to be nods to Carl Weathers, Frances Bay, and Bob Barker. Weathers played Gilmore’s caddy, Chubbs, Bay was Gilmore’s grandmother, and Barker, the former Price is Right host, played himself and famously fought Gilmore on the course.

All three have passed, unfortunately, but Sandler will find a way to acknowledge them.

Celebrities to Appear:

PICK 1: TIGER WOODS (-150)

PICK 2: JOHN DALY (EVEN)

PICK 3: BILL MURRAY (+200)

PICK 4: TRAVIS KELCE (+500)

PICK 5: JASON KELCE (+550)

Who Wins the Final Showdown?

WinnerOdds
Happy Gilmore-800
Shooter McGavin+425

Gilmore defeated the snarky, country-club snob McGavin with a remarkable final putt to win the Tour Championship in the opening movie.

Gilmore is a massive favorite to repeat as the winner with odds of -800 at Bovada, and I would bank on another win for Happy. It would be a major swerve to have McGavin win, and there might even be a small victory in the movie for him. However, when it comes to the final showdown, I’m recommending that a wager is laid on Gilmore to come out on top once again.
