Next James Bond Odds, Props, and Predictions: What Will Happen in the Next 007 Film?

Next James Bond Odds, Props, and Predictions: What Will Happen in the Next 007 Film?

Markets for the Next James Bond odds have been released at entertainment betting sites, and there are various props in play for the next installment of the 007 franchise. The film won’t likely be released anytime soon as there is no word on a release date, or most importantly, who will step into the role of James Bond. Daniel Craig has had his final martini (shaken, not stirred) after a five-film run from 2006 to 2021.

However, that won’t stop us from speculating on next James Bond actor odds, as well as who will sing the next theme song. We’ll analyze these James Bond betting props, as well as options for the next villain, director, and which words will be used in the title.

These next James Bond odds can be found at BetOnline, and you can find them by navigating to Sports > Entertainment > Next James Bond.

Next James Bond Odds – Actor Odds

ACTORODDS
Aaron Taylor-Johnson+200
Taron Egerton+300
Henry Cavill+500
Jonathan Bailey+600
Cillian Murphy+600
Theo James+700
Tom Hardy+800
Damson Idris+800
Rege-Jean Page+900
Idris Elba+1000

We’ll start with the next market in the next James Bond odds: who will play 007? Craig was fantastic filling the role in Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, Spectre, and No Time to Die.

The favorite is Aaron Taylor-Johnson (+200), who was reported to have met with producer Barbara Broccoli in January 2023 to discuss taking over the role. Taylor-Johnson fits the mold of previous James Bond actors, in that he’s British (although Sean Connery was Scottish, and George Lazenby is Australian). All ten actors that we’ve listed in our odds are English or Welsh.

He’s also young (34 years old at the time of writing), and the report also stated that producers were looking for “someone accomplished, but not particularly famous”. Taylor-Johnson has been in two Marvel movies, as well as Tenet and The Fall Guy, but I wouldn’t call him famous, especially in North America.

But there are some interesting candidates listed, including Jonathan Bailey (+600) and Rege-Jean Page (+900), who have emerged from the Bridgerton universe. Henry Cavill (+500) would be a good choice, given that he’s played Superman, as well as Sherlock Holmes in two Netflix movies. Taron Egerton (+300) said in 2023 that he isn’t “the right choice” to play James Bond. And while the world is still clamoring for Idris Elba (+1000), he also said he would rather not play Bond as the conversation “became about race”.

There are more intriguing candidates listed at BetOnline, such as Jacob Elordi (+1200), Barry Keoghan (+1600), Tom Holland (+2500), and many more. However, I’m going to stick with the favorites, albeit a little down the board, and go with Theo James (+700) to take some betting value. The English actor earned an Emmy nomination for his role in The White Lotus, and he was excellent in Guy Ritchie’s Netflix series, The Gentleman. It’s easy to see him in a tuxedo playing Bond.

Next Bond Theme Song Artist Odds

MUSICIANODDS
Dua Lipa+150
Taylor Swift+500
Bruno Mars+500
Lana Del Rey+600
SZA+600
Rihanna+600
Adam Levine/Maroon 5+600
Harry Styles+700
Lady Gaga, Raye, Ed Sheeran, Beyoncé, The Weeknd, Foo Fighters+800

Next up are the next Bond theme song odds, or rather, who will sing the next theme song. Some of music’s heaviest hitters have had the honor, including Paul McCartney and Wings, Shirley Bassey (three times), Tina Turner, Sheryl Crow, Gladys Knight, Madonna, and Duran Duran. The last five songs have been sung by the late Chris Cornell, Jack White and Alicia Keys, Adele, Sam Smith, and Billie Eilish.

Adele actually won the Oscar for Best Original Song with Skyfall’s “Skyfall” in 2012, while Smith won in 2015 for Spectre’s “Writing’s On the Wall” in 2015. Eilish followed it up with “No Time to Die” from the movie of the same name in 2021, and she won again in 2023 for Barbie’s “What Was I Made For”. She would be an excellent choice, but it’s too soon to go to that well again.

Dua Lipa (+150) heads up the list for the next Bond film, and the English singer is one of the most popular artists on the planet. However, it is rumored that producer Broccoli is looking for more of a pop-rock sound. Dua Lipa is more of a pop-dance artist, but it would be interesting to see if she could do a rock tune.

Taylor Swift (+500) is arguably music’s biggest star, but I don’t see her doing a James Bond song, for some reason. Again, big names have done it before, and she’s obviously talented. Lana Del Rey (+600) has already had a 007 theme song rejected for Spectre, so she is interested in it.

If the producers are set on the pop-rock angle, that probably scratches off Bruno Mars (+500), SZA (+600), Rihanna (+600), and Harry Styles (+700). Not that these artists aren’t incredibly talented and capable, I just don’t see them doing that type of style (although I’d love to hear it).

Given those parameters, I could see Adam Levine/Maroon 5 (+600) playing that style of music. However, the 007 producers might avoid Levine after misconduct allegations in 2022. There are more attractive options that I haven’t listed, such as Florence and the Machine (+1000), Coldplay (+1000), and Imagine Dragons.

Again, I’m going to go with the value and bet on U2 (+1200). Honestly, I’m a little shocked they haven’t done a Bond song yet. With a new Bond actor, I think the producers will want to get someone big, and U2 fits the bill. The Irish band also wrote “GoldenEye” for Tina Turner to sing for the 1995 movie. It’s only right they get a proper theme song. Furthermore, U2 has been quiet lately, so this would be a perfect time to emerge back on the scene.

Next James Bond Movie Villain Odds

ACTOR/ACTRESSODDS
Cillian Murphy+500
Paul Giamatti+600
David Dastmalchian+700
Giancarlo Esposito+800
Helena Bonham Carter+800
Zendaya+800
Robert De Niro, Jack Black, Willem Defoe, Mads Mikkelsen, Kevin Bacon, Emma Stone, Hugh Jackman+1200

We’re at the next Bond villain odds now, and Broccoli has stated that they want to figure out who the villain is first, before casting Bond. While Cillian Murphy (+500) was also listed among the favorites to play Bond, he’d be much better suited to the villain role. Murphy is coming off a phenomenal role in Oppenheimer, in which he won the Oscar for Best Actor. If Christopher Nolan is the next director (more on that below), Murphy will be involved somehow. The two have collaborated on six films, including Oppenheimer and The Dark Knight Trilogy.

Paul Giamatti (+600) has already said he would like to do it, as has David Dastmalchian (+700). Giamatti is coming off an Oscar-nominated turn in The Holdovers, but he lost the Best Actor nod to Murphy. Dastmalchian has been in The Dark Knight, and various superhero movies.

Giancarlo Esposito (+800) and Helena Bonham Carter (+800) would both be excellent choices. We watched Esposito play a chilling villain as Gus Fring in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. Bonham Carter’s characters have always been a little out there, and there hasn’t been a female Bond villain since Sophie Marceau’s Elektra King in 1999’s The World is Not Enough.

BetOnline’s odds are filled with great choices, such as Samuel L. Jackson (+1400), Margot Robbie (+1400), Denzel Washington (+1600), Jeremy Irons (+1600), Ralph Fiennes (+2500), and John Malkovich (+2500).

My recommendations lie with Dastmalchian at +700, offering a little more value and I think he’d be exceptional in the role. I’d love to see Esposito, especially if my next Bond actor pick holds true. James and Esposito had great chemistry going back and forth in The Gentleman. However, I’m going to stick with wagering on Dastmalchian.

Next James Bond Director Betting

DIRECTORODDS
Christopher Nolan+400
David Michod+400
Edward Berger+500
Gina Prince-Bythewood+550
Martin Campbell+600
Mathew Vaughn+650
Chad Stahelski+700
David Fincher+800
Greta Gerwig+1000

Nolan (+400) is co-favorite in the next Bond director odds, alongside David Michod. Nolan obviously is a much bigger name, and won Best Picture and Best Director for Oppenheimer. However, Nolan shot down the rumors he would be the next Bond director in November 2023. Michod (+400) is known for the 2010 film Animal Kingdom, and I’m a little shocked he is this high in the odds at online sportsbooks.

Edward Berger (+500) won the Oscar for Best International Feature Film with All Quiet on the West Front. Gina Prince-Bythewood (+550) and earned nominations for directing The Woman King. Mathew Vaughn (+650) directed The Kingsman, which is a spy satire, but it’s close enough to Bond, complete with action, that he wouldn’t look out of place. Chad Stahelski (+700) is a very intriguing pick as he is coming off the John Wick franchise, so there would be tons of action there.

David Fincher (+800) would take the Bond franchise to a very dark place, and while I would definitely check it out, I don’t know that it feels like 007. Greta Gerwig (+1000) offers a ton of value and is coming off a massive run with Barbie, which was nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay.

However, I’m rolling with Martin Campbell (+600), who has already directed GoldenEye and Casino Royale. With a new Bond coming on, it might be best to have a director who understands the Bond universe to usher the new 007 along. Let’s throw Martin Campbell on our betting slip.

Words in Title of Next James Bond Movie

WORDODDS
Die+220
Gold+280
Kill+300
Love+400
Gun+500

“Die” appears in four Bond titles, including the most recent, No Time to Die, in 2021. “Gold” is included in the title three times, but not since GoldenEye in 1995. “Kill” is included twice, and most recently in 1989’s Licence to Kill. “Love” has made one appearance in 1963’s From Russia with Love. Finally, “Gun” has only seen once in The Man with the Golden Gun in 1974.

I’m scratching “Die” off the list, simply because it was in the last Bond movie. I think the producers will avoid “Kill” or “Gun”, which leaves “Love” and “Gold”. Let’s go with “Love”. For a bet like this, you might as well take the betting value, and it has only been used once so far.
