Free KBO Predictions: Korean Baseball Best Bets Today

NC Dinos vs. Samsung Lions: Samsung (-130)

The Samsung Lions look to repeat what they’ve done the last three days and remain hot to open the KBO season! Samsung is on a three-game win streak to open the KBO slate and now have the second-best odds to win the Korean Series.

The offense has been red-hot for the Lions, as they’ve scored 38 runs through their first three outings! The Lions have scored at least 11 runs in each of these matchups. Needless to say, Samsung’s bats are on fire to open the regular season campaign.

That includes former Miami Marlin, Lewin Diaz, who is killing the ball.

Conversely, the NC Dinos are 1-2 to start the 2025 season. They edged out the KIA Tigers on Monday by 5-4 but fell to them in the season opener by a score of 9-2. The Dinos had no answer for the Lions yesterday, as they were pummeled in a 14-5 final.

The Lions give the starting nod to second-year pitcher Lee Seung-hyun. Lee had a respectable performance in his fourth season in the KBO, posting a 4.31 ERA and 1.43 WHIP. At only 22 years old, Samsung is expecting stronger things from him in 2025. Sim Min-hyeok had a decent season as well, posting an ERA of 4.31 and 1.29 WHIP in 25 appearances.

The pitching matchup should be even here, but the Lions’ offense is the major difference maker. Samsung should probably be a -160 favorite, so for our expert KBO picks, consider the Lions today!

Kiwoom Heroes vs. KIA Tigers: KIA -1.5 (+100)

The Kiwoom Heroes will look to end the drought and book their first win of the season on Wednesday. It’s been a frustrating start to the season for the Heroes. They’re coming off an 11-6 loss to the KIA Tigers yesterday, and the outlook for this one doesn’t appear too promising either!

Patrick Wisdom and Na Sung-bum burned the Heroes for three RBIs each in the victory. The pitching has been an absolute mess for Kiwoom and opponents are taking full advantage of the opportunity. Kiwoom has gotten torched for 25 runs in three games.

To make matters worse on Wednesday, the Heroes are sending an inexperienced 18-year-old to the bump. While hype is certainly strong for the No. 1 overall pick of the 2025 KBO Draft, Jung Hyun-woo is making his debut today. I’m not confident that it’s going to go great for him.

Even if Jung has a fine showing, the bullpen is tired and in disarray. The Tigers will be able to jump all over the bullpen regardless of how Jung performs in his first KBO performance. Yoon Young-cheol steps onto the bump for the first time this season after a solid 2024 season.

Yoon recorded an ERA of 4.19 and 1.53 WHIP across 18 starts. Look for Yoon to receive plenty of run support en route to a winning showing on Wednesday. Kiwoom may be more competitive than yesterday’s effort, but KIA should ultimately prevail for at least a two-run victory!
