Kings League 2023 Summer Split Odds

If you are a fan of new-wave sports, the Kings League currently running out of Spain is definitely one worth checking out!

Soccer is the global leader in sports, but a new version spearheaded by former Barcelona and Spanish soccer legend, Gerard Pique, is currently attracting all kinds of attention as it changes the way we view and play the world’s most popular sport.

With that said, soccer betting sites have released odds for the Summer Split of the 2023 Kings League. The Winter Split concluded on March 26 with El Barrio winning the title.

Let’s take a closer look at the Summer Split Kings League odds, the unique traits of this league and make some goal scoring, money winning predictions.

What Is The Kings League?

The Kings League is a fascinating take on indoor soccer, with it featuring as a season long seven-on-seven tournament. There are 12 teams, all Spanish-based and owned, and these matches are wildly popular when streamed on Twitch.

The games all fall one after another, lasting for 40 minutes, spread across two halves of 20 minutes each.

Each side boasts a squad of twelve players, the first 10 were decided by a draft at the outset of the inaugural season on January 1st, 2023.

These first ten players were mostly plucked from fourth and fifth tiers of soccer in Spain, with many thrilled at the increased publicity they now suddenly receive due to the support of Pique’s Kings League set-up.

But what also makes the league so fascinating is the players beyond the initial ten, essentially ringers and high-profile pro talents that can guest-star for certain teams.

Javier ‘Chicarito’ Hernandez has starred, as has Sergio Aguero, Ronaldinho, and even Italian icon Andrea Pirlo. Surely, more high-profile talents will be on their way, given the success of this league.

Kings League Rules

Beyond this, there are many fascinating tweaks and variations that heavily deviate from the traditional playing rules of soccer.

Golden cards, for instance, are selected prior to the game beginning. These allow teams to possess a ‘secret weapon’, whereby teams can receive an instant penalty, remove a player from the opposition, goals count as double for two minutes, etc. 

Penalty shots are to be dribbled from centre, as you’d see in ice hockey.  Matches begin by a race to the ball at midfield for the coveted first possession.

Beyond this, there are even ‘masked’ players which keep the fans guessing as to who is current representing their team!

As you can imagine, it has provided for a thoroughly entertaining game, and there’s good reason why these matches are viewed by over one million people on Twitch on a weekly basis.

Summer 2023 Kings League Betting Favorites

Just beyond xBuyer Team, is Porcinos FC. In the Winter Split season, this talented crew finished second in the league, but struggled from the outset in the Playoff bracket. 

With the Summer Split upon us, they sit firmly in the Top four and boast a healthy goal differential.

Porcinos can score at will, and they’ve attracted top talent that routinely guest star and boost their team’s talent level. Mexican star and former Man United player Javier Hernandez has featured, and Ronaldinho has also recently played a role for the club.

On a regular basis, Javier Espinosa is one of the Kings League’s top talents in the midfield. A true maestro with an elite touch of the ball, quick feet, and excellent passing.

He’s first in the entire league in assists right now, and his connection with both Alberto Bueno and Hugo Fraile up top, have the ability to dominate on a weekly basis.

With their team being led by one of the league’s co-founders in influential streamer Ibai Llanos, Porcinos has a great shot of avenging last season’s playoff showing and rectifying that July 29th in Madrid.

Summer 2023 Kings League Best Value Bet: Los Troncos FC (+1000)

While Los Troncos currently sits in 10th place out of 12 teams in the summer 2023 Kings League, the talent is still there. They have the pedigree from the brief winter season, where this talented crew managed to finish third, and narrowly lost out on a trip to the Finals.

Los Troncos also boasts one of the league’s best partnerships in terms of finishing, with Edgar Alvaro near the top in scoring and Joan Verdu doing a great job with his playmaking and assists. It’s a tandem that has broken down opposing defenses.

The issue for Los Troncos hasn’t been scoring. Instead, it’s been keeping the ball out of their net. A renewed focus in the second half, with an emphasis on goaltending and defense, can see this team climb the table.

Sep Corderas is capable between the pipes, while Ian Gonzalez has the potential to emerge as one of the league’s top defenders. Los Troncos should be on the rise!

Summer 2023 Kings League Best Longshot Bet: Kunisports (+1600)

While Kunisports certainly has a long way to go, their star power and potential is undeniable. Although they enter the fifth game week sitting outside of a playoff position in 11th place, they’ve been better than their record would indicate.

Kunisports is only -4 in terms of goal differential and put together an impressive first campaign in the winter season.

With Sergio ‘Kun’ Aguero as their chairperson, they’ve infused a blend of Argentinean talent to the side, with Gonzalo Higuain reportedly ready to feature for Kunisports in the coming weeks.

Up top, Ferran Corominas remains one of the league’s most dangerous players with the ball at his feet. He’s shown an ability to score from anywhere on the mini-pitch, while leading the Kings League in total goals to date.

With elite offensive talent like that, and being backed by Aguero, if he can get some key Argentine stars to feature prominently, expect this group to vault up the table in the second half of the season. 

As the Playoffs in the winter showed us, these games can be quite volatile.  A ticket to the final bracket is all that is needed to win, just ask eighth-seed El Barrio how that turned out for them!

Summer 2023 Kings League Final Prediction: Aniquiladores FC (+800)

The one other main contender we have yet to discuss, are the current table leaders from Aniquiladores FC. Led by their talisman in 11th player Fran Hernandez, this team is the class of the league in the ongoing summer season.

They lead the league in goals, and with Hernandez leading the line, can seemingly find offense at will.

While there’s a lot of luck involved in these Kings League matches, the Aniquiladores have been on the poor end of many Golden Cards, meaning they’re getting by right now with great talent, passing, and team defense.

They have also been a consistent squad, meaning their ‘guest’ players have stayed on for many weeks at a time.

This constant outside help from world-class talents such as David Acedo and Nadir Louah have brought the team to new heights. In the winter, they got precisely hot at the right moment, ultimately losing a narrow match to El Barrio in the Finals.

This time around, Aniquiladores FC is ready to challenge come July 29th in Madrid. They have all the pieces to succeed, and bringing in Louah to their midfield has reinvigorated how they play on the ball, and their quick-strike offense.

With the best attack, and second-best defensive group in the entire Kings League, many are sleeping on Aniquiladores FC.

These +800 odds are a generous price for a team with Fran Hernandez, and though they don’t boast the flashy guest appearances of some other clubs, team chair Colombian YouTuber Juan Guarnizo is focused on delivering a winner.

Given the craziness of this circus on a soccer pitch, don’t be stunned to see Aniquiladores FC hoisting the trophy in Madrid in just over a month!
