They’re tied for fourth in the Cactus League at 10-7 and a run differential of +4. The Rockies should be in good hands on the mound with Kyle Freeland getting the call. Freeland has been in top form, with an ERA of 1.80 ERA and three strikeouts in five innings.

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Chicago Cubs: Cubs (-154)

The Chicago Cubs look to make it back-to-back wins and improve on their strong spring training record today. The Cubs are second in the Cactus League with a mark of 11-4. They’ve recorded an insane run differential of +36 in preseason baseball matchups this year.

The Cubs’ bats are red-hot at the plate through 15 games. They’re hitting .309 and a .387 OBP for the best mark in the Major Leagues. Piling on the runs has been a hallmark of the Cubs’ spring training effort.

Today, they’ll also have a reliable hurler on the mound against the Brewers. Justin Steele gets the call for his third performance of spring camp in the desert. The pitcher holds a 3.60 ERA and 0.80 WHIP through five innings on the hill. He has yielded two earned runs during this stretch.

Conversely, the Brewers’ pitching has been a train wreck during spring training. They’ve conceded a 6.02 ERA and 1.62 WHIP, for one of the worst efforts in the Majors! Starter Jacob Misiorowski is unlikely to make anything better. He owns a 6.00 ERA through six innings of work.
