QB Cam Ward (-300) has emerged as the clear betting favorite to be selected with the No. 1 pick of the 2025 NFL Draft. The Miami Hurricanes product was a -130 favorite to go off the board in January.

In short, Ward’s implied probability has risen from 56.5% to 75% over the last two months. The biggest shift has been Shedeur Sanders (+1800), who has fallen from the second-shortest odds at -110 to +1800! That’s an unbelievable 52.4% to 5.3% change.

There could continue to be massive movement in this market, so ensure that you are checking back at NFL betting sites. The way I see it, Ward’s price is likely to ascend higher prior to the draft on April 24.

Sanders was incredibly overhyped as a pro prospect this past season, and the NFL Draft odds reacted by inserting him as one of the favorites. Nevertheless, the markets have finally come to their senses, and +1800 is probably where he belongs. Don’t consider Sanders at +1800, though.

Ward remains the guy for the Tennessee Titans or New York Giants at No. 1. The Titans have the top selection, but the Giants are rumored to be working out a deal for the pick. The 6’2” native of West Columbia, TX, spent time in three college programs. He opened his career as a relatively unknown prospect at the FCS’s Incarnate Word.

After two years of dicing up weak defenses, Ward proved he can do it at the FBS level at Washington State. Ward passed for 25 touchdowns and seven interceptions on 66.6% passing.

Important in this era of NFL football, Ward is also a mobile quarterback who can evade pressure. He rushed for 144 yards and eight scores on the ground during his one season as a Cougar at Washington State. In his last year, Ward wrapped up college with 39 touchdowns and seven touchdowns on 67.2% completions.

He also threw for 4,313 yards, roughly 600 more than the 3,735 a season earlier at Washington State. In addition to the numbers, Ward has the intangibles that make up a great NFL quarterback.

He always has his head up scanning the field and looking for his second and third option if the first isn’t there. The poise in the pocket is there, and he can run when he needs to. While comparisons to Steve McNair are premature, the 22-year-old does things that remind you of him at times.

Although -300 odds is getting too rich for me, he will likely be -450 in April. He has a higher chance to be the first pick than 75%, so he’s still worth adding to a parlay for your NFL Draft betting picks!

Team to Draft Travis Hunter Odds and Prediction

Two Colorado Buffaloes could go off the board in the top 5 of the 2025 NFL Draft! In addition to Sanders, teammate and Heisman Trophy winner CB/WR Travis Hunter is expected to be one of the first names called in Green Bay at Lambeau Field.

Hunter is a dynamic two-way player who can play cornerback or wide receiver. He is open to either side of the ball, but the most likely scenario is starting his career at cornerback while being used as an offensive weapon for certain formations.

If Mike Vrabel coaches similarly to his former boss Bill Belichick did, then a two-way player would be a welcome addition to the team. Belichick would sometimes use defensive players in offensive sets, including Vrabel who would line up as a fullback or tight end.

The Patriots have the No. 4 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. It would make sense for them to target Hunter, as they lack explosive playmakers on their current roster.

Hunter would be an instant infusion of fresh air in Foxborough. He and Christian Gonzalez would give the defense a formidable duo in the secondary, and also a gadget player for the offense.

Currently, Hunter has a 28.6% implied probability, at +175, of being drafted by the Patriots. The Giants have the second-shortest chance at +250, but they are more interested in finding a franchise quarterback.

DE Abdul Carter is a terrific option if he’s available, but the Patriots can’t pass on the Heisman winner here! Hunter to the Patriots at +175 is a solid option for your 2025 NFL Draft best bets.

Team to Draft Ashton Jeanty Odds and Prediction

TEAMODDS
Chicago Bears+165
Las Vegas Raiders+200
Dallas Cowboys+250
Denver Broncos+1400
Pittsburgh Steelers+1600
Minnesota Vikings+1600

Per the latest NFL Draft 2025 betting odds, the Chicago Bears (+165) are slated to select RB Ashton Jeanty with the 10th pick. Jeanty is one of the most exciting running back prospects to enter the draft in a long time. He put up jaw-dropping numbers while breaking records along the way at Boise State.

However, are the Bears in a position to draft a running back at No. 10? Despite how good Jeanty is, the Bears need to focus on building an offensive line before drafting a running back so early. QB Caleb Williams needs help with protection before being paired with an elite running back, or it’s a waste.

Jeanty ran for 2,601 yards and 29 touchdowns on 7.1 yards per carry! He would be a welcome addition to any backfield, but the Bears have other glaring needs. The Dallas Cowboys with the No. 12 pick are an intriguing destination for Jeanty. It feels like such a Jerry Jones pick to target a flashy selection to get the fanbase excited.

The Cowboys could need the help at running back, too. Rico Dowdle, Deuce Vaughn, and Malik Davis were on the Cowboys’ depth chart last season. That isn’t the best trio, but I expect Jeanty to go off the board before the Bears at No. 10 and Cowboys at No. 12. The Cowboys may attempt to trade down, though they have a lot of needs, and it’s a deep running back class.

The most likely scenario is the Las Vegas Raiders at No. 6. RB Sincere McCormick is currently at the top of the Raiders’ depth chart, and they recently acquired QB Geno Smith.

Depth is a major concern in the backfield and Smith needs a running back for the 2025-26 campaign. Jeanty to the Raiders at +200 is one of the best NFL Draft bets available this year!

First Three Picks in Exact Order Odds and Prediction

Cam Ward/Travis Hunter/Addul Carter-300
Cam Ward/Abdul Carter/Shedeur Sanders-150
Cam Ward/Travis Hunter/Shedeur Sanders-125
Abdul Carter/Cam Ward/Travis Hunter+250
Cam Ward/Shedeur Sanders/Abdul Carter+250
Cam Ward/Shedeur Sanders/Travis Hunter+250

The draft order of Ward, Carter, and Hunter are expected to go in the top 3. According to the latest NFL Draft odds, this has a 77.8% implied chance of happening at -350. I don’t advise laying those odds, as there is no value.

Ward is the favorite to go with the top pick in the first four orders. It’s worth noting that each of those four bets has a greater than 50% probability of Ward going off the board at No. 1. As I mentioned above, Ward is my top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

However, there is stronger value than any of those wagers present. Instead, Ward, Sanders, and Carter is worth a play at +250. Anything can happen before the Titans go on the clock in Green Bay, so getting -300 or -350 for the top 3 draft order is a bad bet.

With Ward gone at No. 1, the Cleveland Browns still need a franchise quarterback after the Deshaun Watson experiment was a massive bust. Carter would have made sense here, too, but the Browns are spending $40 million a year to keep Myles Garrett in Cleveland over the next four years.

Of course, the Browns could bolster their defensive line with even more firepower on the defensive line. However, I think they’ll heavily consider a quarterback at No. 2, and Sanders is the most likely option. The Browns need points on the scoreboard now. If Sanders isn’t selected in the top 5, there is a good chance of him tumbling hard down the draft board, though.

Carter, who is the most pro-ready player in the draft, should fall into the Giants’ laps. They will be happy to insert Carter as a foundation on the defensive line for years to come. There’s a lot of talk of going with the top pick, but in a QB league, Ward will likely be the primary target at No. 1.

In short, Ward, Sanders, and Carter is my top 3 draft order. At +250 odds, it’s one of the best NFL Draft bets for 2025!
