NFL Week 16 Odds and Predictions

NFL Week 16 Odds and Predictions

As the 2023-24 NFL regular season heads into the final three weeks of action, we are dissecting the latest NFL Week 16 odds at NFL betting sites.

At this point of the year, there isn’t much room for error down the stretch. There are multiple playoff spots to fill and the majority of teams are still mathematically alive for the postseason.

After going through the entire card, we are making our best Week 16 NFL predictions and parlay. All Week 16 NFL odds are courtesy of Bovada:

New Orleans Saints vs. Los Angeles Rams Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
New Orleans Saints+4 (-105)+175Over 45 (-110)
Los Angeles Rams-4 (-115)-210Under 45 (-110)

The Rams are one of the hottest teams in the NFL. They’ve won four of their last four games, with their only loss in OT against the Ravens, 37-31.

The Rams will welcome a Saints squad coming off a confidence-building 24-6 win over the Giants. New Orleans was one of our best NFL bets of Week 15, but this is a much tougher task on the road.

To open Week 16 on Thursday Night Football, consider backing the Rams to win and cover the spread.

Saints vs. Rams Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: Los Angeles Rams -4 (-115)
  • Moneyline Bet: Los Angeles Rams (-210)
  • Over-Under Bet: Over 45 (-110)

Buffalo Bills vs. Los Angeles Chargers Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Buffalo Bills-12 (-105)-750Over 43 (-110)
Los Angeles Chargers+12 (-115)+500Under 43 (-110)

The Bills are another team hitting their stride at the right moment. After an impressive 31-10 win over the Cowboys, faith is building back in the Bills.

This is a team that no one wants to see in the playoffs. But, are they in for a letdown against the Chargers?

Following Brandon Staley’s firing due to an embarrassing 63-17 loss to the Raiders, expect the Chargers to have some life. The Chargers appeared to purposely call it a day after a couple of costly turnovers in the first five minutes.

With the Bills coming off a huge win, look for the Chargers to make this one surprisingly competitive at SoFi Stadium.

Bills vs. Chargers Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: Los Angeles Chargers +12 (-115)
  • Moneyline Bet: Buffalo Bills (-750)
  • Over-Under Bet: Over 43 (-110)

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Cincinnati Bengals-2.5 (-115)-145Over 39 (-105)
Pittsburgh Steelers+2.5 (-105)+125Under 39 (-115)

Mike Tomlin finally made the right decision to bench Mitch Trubisky. It came too late in the fourth quarter against the Colts, though.

Mason Rudolph is expected to receive his first start of the season against the Bengals in Week 15. Jake Browning continues to gain confidence and has the Bengals looking like a playoff team.

But, Ja’Marr Chase could be set to miss this game with a shoulder injury. Fortunately, the injury wasn’t worse than it was, but Chase could be absent for at least one game.

With Chase’s status questionable, the Steelers have a chance to get back on track at home. They are decent value as home underdogs.

Bengals vs. Steelers Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: Pittsburgh Steelers +2.5 (-105)
  • Moneyline Bet: Pittsburgh Steelers (+125)
  • Over-Under Bet: Under 39 (-115)

Cleveland Browns vs. Houston Texans Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Cleveland Browns+2.5 (-105)+120Over 42.5 (-110)
Houston Texans-2.5 (-115)-140Under 42.5 (-110)

The Texans went to Nashville without C.J. Stroud and shocked the Titans in OT for a 19-16 victory. Case Keenum played well enough to lead the Texans to a big win to stay in the AFC South hunt.

Currently, Stroud is still in concussion protocol, but could get the start against Joe Flacco and the Browns. The Browns edged out the Bears for a 20-17 win to inch closer to a playoff berth.

Without knowing Stroud’s status, the Browns are a solid bet as underdogs. Defensively, they have a stout advantage. This is a matchup that could go down to a field goal in the final seconds.

Browns vs. Texans Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: Cleveland Browns +2.5 (-105)
  • Moneyline Bet: Cleveland Browns (+120)
  • Over-Under Bet: Under 42.5 (-110)

Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Detroit Lions-3 (-115)-175Over 46.5 (-110)
Minnesota Vikings+3 (-105)+150Under 46.5 (-110)

On Saturday, the Lions were impressive with a 42-17 win over the Broncos. They have to keep that same energy against the Vikings on the road.

The Vikings played the Bengals tough, but yielded a late lead to lose in OT. Nick Mullens is expected to get his second straight start for the Vikings in a must-win situation.

Expect head coach Dan Campbell to have the Lions focused and ready to play in Week 16. They should pull away for a touchdown win on the road.

Lions vs. Vikings Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: Detroit Lions -3 (-115)
  • Moneyline Bet: Detroit Lions (-175)
  • Over-Under Bet: Over 46.5 (-110)

Green Bay Packers vs. Carolina Panthers Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Green Bay Packers-5 (-110)-235Over 36 (-115)
Carolina Panthers+5 (-110)+195Under 36 (-105)

And, just like that, the Packers’ playoff hopes are evaporating fast. After winning four of five games, including beating the Chiefs and Lions, the Packers have lost back-to-back games.

A trip to Charlotte, North Carolina, should fix what ails the Packers. The Panthers notched their second win of the season at home against the Falcons, 9-7.

Desmond Ridder’s inept ability to play QB sank the Falcons. Jordan Love and the Packers should be a more difficult challenge.

The Panthers’ secondary will keep them in the game, but the Packers edge ahead for a much-needed 10-point win.

Packers vs. Panthers Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: Green Bay Packers -5 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Green Bay Packers (-235)
  • Over-Under Bet: Over 36 (-115)

Indianapolis Colts vs. Atlanta Falcons Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Indianapolis Colts-1.5 (-115)-130Over 44 (-110)
Atlanta Falcons+1.5 (-105)+110Under 44 (-110)

While the Falcons suffered a considerable blow, the Colts notched a huge win in Week 15. The Colts erased an early 13-0 deficit against the Steelers to win by double-digits at home.

It’s hard to trust the Falcons with their one-dimensional offense on the ground. Ridder isn’t a starting NFL QB. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Taylor Heinicke get the call under center.

Regardless, Gardner Minshew and the Colts are the most confident play in this matchup.

Colts vs. Falcons Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: Indianapolis Colts -1.5 (-115)
  • Moneyline Bet: Indianapolis Colts (-130)
  • Over-Under Bet: Under 44 (-110)

Seattle Seahawks vs. Tennessee Titans Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Seattle Seahawks-2.5 (-110)-140Over 42.5 (-110)
Tennessee Titans+2.5 (-110)+120Under 42.5 (-110)

The Titans suffered a deathblow against the Texans in OT. Are they going to come out with any energy after blowing a win at home against Keenum?

If Geno Smith is healthy enough to play, consider backing the Seahawks. It will be important to check the injury report throughout the week.

Seahawks vs. Titans Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: Seattle Seahawks -2.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Seattle Seahawks (-140)
  • Over-Under Bet: Under 42.5 (-110)

Washington Commanders vs. New York Jets Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Washington Commanders+3 (-120)+135Over 38 (-105)
New York Jets-3 (+100)-160Under 38 (-115)

The Jets are another team with a QB situation influx this week. Zach Wilson left with a concussion against the Dolphins last week. Trevor Siemian entered the game to lead the Jets to a 30-0 loss.

Aaron Rodgers is nearing a point where he could be cleared for the active roster any day now. However, with the Jets out of playoff contention, is there any need for Rodgers to rush back?

The Commanders aren’t a confident play, but laying points on the Jets against any team seems like poor value.

Commanders vs. Jets Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: Washington Commanders +3 (-120)
  • Moneyline Bet: Washington Commanders (+135)
  • Over-Under Bet: Under 38 (-115)

Arizona Cardinals vs. Chicago Bears Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Arizona Cardinals+4.5 (-110)+190Over 44.5 (-105)
Chicago Bears-4.5 (-110)-230Under 44.5 (-115)

The Cardinals went blow for blow with the 49ers until the better team took the game over. It wasn’t the worst effort, but the Cardinals’ defense was incapable of getting a key stop in a 45-29 loss.

The Bears are coming off a hard-fought loss to the Browns. After coming so close to winning on a Hail Mary, expect the Bears to be deflated for this matchup. The Cardinals should be competitive enough to cover the point spread.

Cardinals vs. Bears Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: Arizona Cardinals +4.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Chicago Bears (-230)
  • Over-Under Bet: Under 44.5 (-115)

Dallas Cowboys vs. Miami Dolphins Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Dallas Cowboys+1.5 (-110)+100Over 51.5 (-105)
Miami Dolphins-1.5 (-110)-120Under 51.5 (-115)

The Dolphins have had an issue defeating contenders, while beating up against inferior opponents. They have a terrific opportunity in front of them at home against the Cowboys.

However, this isn’t the best spot for the Dolphins after the Cowboys were pushed around against the Bills. The Cowboys are coming off a 31-10 loss to the Bills in Orchard Park, New York.

Expect a strong bounce-back effort from the Cowboys at Hard Rock Stadium. The public will jump off the Cowboys’ bandwagon, but they remain a contender to win Super Bowl 58.

Cowboys vs. Dolphins Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: Dallas Cowboys +1.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Dallas Cowboys (+100)
  • Over-Under Bet: Over 51.5 (-105)

New England Patriots vs. Denver Broncos Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
New England Patriots+6 (-110)+220Over 34.5 (-110)
Denver Broncos-6 (-110)-270Under 34.5 (-110)

The Patriots head west to Denver for a Week 16 matchup against the Broncos. New England is coming off a 27-17 loss to the Chiefs at Gillette Stadium.

It was a solid overall effort from the defense, but Bailey Zappe gave the game away with a couple of critical mistakes. They take on a desperate Broncos squad who needs to win out and get some help to make the playoffs.

The Broncos likely win, but the Patriots’ defense frustrates Russell Wilson to stay within striking distance.

Patriots vs. Broncos Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: New England Patriots +6 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Denver Broncos (-270)
  • Over-Under Bet: Under 34.5 (-110)

Las Vegas Raiders vs. Kansas City Chiefs Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Las Vegas Raiders+10 (-110)+360Over 42.5 (-110)
Kansas City Chiefs-10 (-110)-500Under 42.5 (-110)

The Chiefs dispatched the Patriots by double digits, but they weren’t exactly in the best shape. Something has looked off with the offense this season, and it continued against the Patriots.

The Raiders are on the heels of a demolition job of the Chargers. On Thursday Night Football, the Raiders crushed the Chargers by a score of 63-21.

It was a much-needed performance after a 3-0 loss to the Vikings. With extra time to prepare, look for the Raiders to be competitive against the Chiefs.

The defense has been playing well, while Aidan O’Connell and the offense was able to gain some confidence versus the Chargers. Take the points on Christmas.

Raiders vs. Chiefs Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: Las Vegas Raiders +10 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Kansas City Chiefs (-500)
  • Over-Under Bet: Under 42.5 (-110)

New York Giants vs. Philadelphia Eagles Odds

New York Giants+10.5 (-110)+400Over 43.5 (-110)
Philadelphia Eagles-10.5 (-110)-575Under 43.5 (-110)

The Tommy DeVito story was fun while it lasted, but the Saints were able to bring Giants fans back down to earth. As has been the case for much of the season, the offensive line struggled in pass protection in a 24-6 loss.

It isn’t going to get any better against the Eagles’ defense. The NFL Week 16 odds for the Eagles are in the double digits, but they should cover. This is an opportunity for the Eagles to beat up an NFC East rival at home.

Giants vs. Eagles Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: Philadelphia Eagles -10.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Philadelphia Eagles (-575)
  • Over-Under Bet: Over 43.5 (-110)

Baltimore Ravens vs. San Francisco 49ers Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Baltimore Ravens+5.5 (-110)+190Over 46 (-105)
San Francisco 49ers-5.5 (-110)-230Under 46 (-115)

In the matchup of the week, the Ravens and 49ers meet on Christmas evening at Levi’s Stadium. This could be a preview of the NFC Conference Championship in January.

We foresee the 49ers’ defense putting too much pressure on Lamar Jackson in this one. The 49ers have the defensive personnel to turn the Ravens into a one-dimensional offense.

Meanwhile, there isn’t a defense in the NFL that can keep up with all the 49ers’ weapons. You take one thing away, and Brock Purdy will go to another without too many issues.

The 49ers win this round, but we’ll see if anything changes in the playoffs shortly.

Ravens vs. 49ers Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: San Francisco 49ers -5.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: San Francisco 49ers (-230)
  • Over-Under Bet: Under 46 (-115)

Best NFL Bets This Week

Following another perfect week with our best NFL bets, we have two more NFL best bets for Week 16. These are the biggest matchups on the Christmas schedule at football betting sites.

Dallas Cowboys (+1.5)

Despite the poor effort against the Bills, we are looking at the Cowboys to respond at Miami. They are considerably better than the team that was on the field at Highmark Stadium.

The Cowboys didn’t look interested on either side of the ball. That was an effort problem for the Cowboys. They were out-muscled at the point of attack in the trenches.

This week, we should see Micah Parsons and the Cowboys’ defense at their best. They are unlikely to take back-to-back games off.

The Dolphins have looked great against inferior foes, but struggle versus winning teams. Their best wins this season are against the Broncos, Raiders, and Chargers.

With the Cowboys coming off their worst performance of the year, this isn’t the best spot for Miami. Dallas is 5-2 against the spread (ATS) in their last seven games versus the Dolphins.

Additionally, they are 6-3 ATS in their last nine assignments, and 3-0 ATS in three games after a loss this season.

The Bet
DALLAS COWBOYS +1.5

San Francisco 49ers (-5.5)

Sports betting sites are likely to see plenty of money on the Ravens to cover the spread. After defeating the Jaguars by double digits, the public will like the Ravens as a 5.5-point underdog. However, the way we see it, the 49ers should put the Ravens in a tough spot on both sides of the ball.

There aren’t many defenses that have the talent to turn Jackson into a one-dimensional passing QB. The 49ers have the athleticism to spy Jackson effectively and force him into making a tough completion in the secondary.

Purdy is seeing lots of NFL MVP love recently, but this entire offense would be deserving. Whether it’s Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, or Brandon Aiyuk, Purdy has several options. The Ravens can’t blanket everybody on Christmas evening.

The best Super Bowl 58 betting sites have the 49ers as the favorites to win on February 11, 2024. As our preseason pick to win the Super Bowl, we remain committed to the 49ers for good reason. Expect the ‘Niners to look the part at home in Week 16.

The Bet
SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS -5.5
