NFL Week 17 Odds and Predictions

As the 2023-24 NFL regular season nears its conclusion, the window is closing on teams to earn a playoff berth. We are analyzing the latest NFL Week 17 odds and locking in our top bets at NFL betting sites for this week.

There remains a lot to be decided in the NFL over the next two weeks, with numerous Playoff positions and division titles still to be determined. Check out our Week 17 NFL predictions for the entire slate of action. All Week 17 NFL odds are courtesy of Bovada:

New York Jets vs. Cleveland Browns Odds

TEAMSPREADmONEYLINETOTAL
New York Jets+6.5 (-105)+265Over 36.5 (-110)
Cleveland Browns-6.5 (-115)-330Under 36.5 (-110)

In the Week 17 opener, the Jets and Browns meet in a defensive showdown on Thursday Night Football. Expect both defenses to stand tall and make plays in Cleveland.

However, the Browns’ offense provides competency than the Jets do. Quarterbacks Zach Wilson and Trevor Siemian should have no chance against the Myles Garrett-led Browns squad.

The Jets are likely to commit a couple of costly turnovers in their territory to afford the Browns momentum and a short field. The Browns prevail by 7 to 9 points in a low-scoring punt fest.

Jets vs. Browns Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: Cleveland Browns -6.5 (-115)
  • Moneyline Bet: Cleveland Browns (-330)
  • Over-Under Bet: Under 36.5 (-110)

Detroit Lions vs. Dallas Cowboys Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Detroit Lions+5.5 (-105)+220Over 53 (-105)
Dallas Cowboys-5.5 (-115)-270Under 53 (-115)

In the NFL’s Week 17 Saturday game, the Lions and Cowboys collide at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. There is a chance that we are looking at a preview of an NFC playoffs matchup.

Both have played like Super Bowl 58 contenders, but they have also had their moments in the dumps. A back-and-forth contest between Jared Goff and Dak Prescott is likely on the agenda. The field is littered with offensive talent on both sides.

Micah Parsons and the Cowboys’ pass rush should be the difference. Last week, the Lions clinched the NFC North title with a 30-24 win over the Vikings. We don’t see them being fully engaged this week.

Lions vs. Cowboys Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: Dallas Cowboys -5.5 (-115)
  • Moneyline Bet: Dallas Cowboys (-270)
  • Over-Under Bet: Over 53 (-105)

Atlanta Falcons vs. Chicago Bears Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Atlanta Falcons+3 (-115)+135Over 38.5 (-110)
Chicago Bears-3 (-105)-160Under 38.5 (-110)

The Bears’ best attribute is stopping the run. For this reason, they’ve had one of the most underrated defenses in the NFL.

As far as the Falcons are concerned, they don’t have much of a passing game. Running the ball with Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier is the Falcons’ offense.

That won’t work against the Bears very well. Back the Bears to win and cover at football betting sites. This will be a crushing blow to the Falcons’ playoff chances.

Falcons vs. Bears Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: Chicago Bears -3 (-105)
  • Moneyline Bet: Chicago Bears (-160)
  • Over-Under Bet: Under 38.5 (-115)

Carolina Panthers vs. Jacksonville Jaguars Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Carolina Panthers+7 (-120)+255Over 38 (-105)
Jacksonville Jaguars-7 (+100)-310Under 38 (-115)

In Week 16, the Jaguars had a golden opportunity to take control of the AFC South standings. Along with the Jaguars losing, the Colts and Texans all surrendered opportunities for a big win.

Trevor Lawrence was cleared from concussion protocol against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but he injured his shoulder during the game. His status for Week 17 is unclear.

The Panthers have been showing some fight down the stretch despite nothing to play for. They should have another competitive effort at Jacksonville.

Panthers vs. Jaguars Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: Carolina Panthers +7 (-120)
  • Moneyline Bet: Jacksonville Jaguars (-310)
  • Over-Under Bet: Under 38 (-115)

Las Vegas Raiders vs. Indianapolis Colts Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Las Vegas Raiders+3 (-105)+135Over 44 (-110)
Indianapolis Colts-3 (-115)-160Under 44 (-110)

Like the rest of the AFC South, the Colts coughed up what could have been a big win. The Falcons outplayed them in a 29-10 loss.

Back home, in one of their biggest games of the season, expect the Colts to respond with a much better effort. The Raiders will likely be uninterested in a trip to Indianapolis. That bodes well for Gardner Minshew and company.

Raiders vs. Colts Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: Indianapolis Colts -3 (-115)
  • Moneyline Bet: Indianapolis Colts (-160)
  • Over-Under Bet: Over 44 (-110)

Los Angeles Rams vs. New York Giants Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Los Angeles Rams-6.5 (-110)-275Over 42 (-110)
New York Giants+6.5 (-110)+220Under 42 (-110)

The Rams are coming off a long break after a 30-22 win over the Saints on Thursday. They are on the right trajectory to reach the playoffs, but the Rams have not clinched a playoff berth yet.

The Giants are coming off a Christmas Day clash against the Eagles. They are on a short week, while the Rams received a small break over Christmas.

Look for Tommy DeVito and the Giants to fall to the red-hot Matthew Stafford and Rams. Los Angeles is playing confident football and don’t look like a team anyone wants to see in the postseason.

Rams vs. Giants Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: Los Angeles Rams -6.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Los Angeles Rams (-275)
  • Over-Under Bet: Over 42 (-110)

Miami Dolphins vs. Baltimore Ravens Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Miami Dolphins+3 (-110)+140Over 47.5 (-110)
Baltimore Ravens-3 (-110)-165Under 47.5 (-110)

The Dolphins head out on the road after their biggest win of the season against the Cowboys in Week 16. It’s the first contender that the Dolphins have defeated this year.

How will they deal with back-to-back marquee matchups? The Ravens’ physical defense should give Dolphins’ QB Tua Tagovailoa a few issues.

Jaylen Waddle exited with an ankle injury in the 22-20 win over the Cowboys. If he’s injured, the Ravens can use more of their resources to focus on Tyreek Hill. We like Lamar Jackson to outshine Tagovailoa in this one.

Dolphins vs. Ravens Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: Baltimore Ravens -3 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Baltimore Ravens (-165)
  • Over-Under Bet: Over 47.5 (-110)

New England Patriots vs. Buffalo Bills Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
New England Patriots+11.5 (-110)+550Over 39 (-110)
Buffalo Bills-11.5 (-110)-800Under 39 (-110)

The Bills did what they had to do for a 24-22 win versus the Chargers at SoFi Stadium. It wasn’t pretty, and they nearly lost as double-digit favorites. However, they picked up a narrow win in what was essentially a trap game.

Back home in Orchard Park, New York, the Bills should put together a much cleaner performance. Patriots QB Bailey Zappe needs to string some drives together, but we aren’t optimistic in him doing it consistently.

This is a lot of points, but the Bills should cover in a 17-point “get right” win after a slight misstep against the Chargers.

Patriots vs. Bills Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: Buffalo Bills -11.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Buffalo Bills (-800)
  • Over-Under Bet: Under 39 (-110)

San Francisco 49ers vs. Washington Commanders Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
San Francisco 49ers-13.5 (-110)-850Over 48.5 (-110)
Washington Commanders+13.5 (-110)+575Under 48.5 (-110)

The 49ers hit the road for an early start on the East Coast against the Commanders. They have one less day to prepare after a highly-anticipated matchup versus the Ravens on Christmas Day.

We can see the 49ers going into Washington without their typical energy and focus. The most important thing for the 49ers is to get out of these next two weeks healthy.

The 49ers are the favorites at Super Bowl betting sites, but they are unlikely to look like it at FedEx Stadium.

49ers vs. Commanders Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: Washington Commanders +13.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: San Francisco 49ers (-850)
  • Over-Under Bet: Over 48.5 (-110)

Tennessee Titans vs. Houston Texans Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Tennessee Titans+3.5 (-110)+170Over 42.5 (-110)
Houston Texans-3.5 (-110)-200Under 42.5 (-110)

Last week, the Titans and Texans both suffered bad losses. The Titans gave up a late lead, while the Texans were never in the game against the Browns.

C.J. Stroud was ruled out for the second straight week with a concussion. However, Stroud is reportedly progressing towards playing in this critical matchup against the Titans.

The Titans aren’t the same team on the road as they are at home. They should have a tough time at NRG Stadium against the Texans.

Titans vs. Texans Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: Houston Texans -3.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Houston Texans (-200)
  • Over-Under Bet: Under 42.5 (-110)

New Orleans Saints vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
New Orleans Saints+2.5 (-110)+115Over 41.5 (-110)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers-2.5 (-110)-135Under 41.5 (-110)

One of the hottest teams in the NFL is located in Tampa, Florida. The Buccaneers are winners of four straight games and one victory away from capturing the NFC South title.

The Saints are coming off a tough loss by a score of 30-22 against the Rams. With some extra time to prepare and recoup, look for Derek Carr and the Saints to give the Buccaneers all that they can handle.

Expect this evenly-matched affair to go down to the wire at Raymond James Stadium. The Buccaneers are hot, but the Saints have a secondary that can disrupt Baker Mayfield. The NFC South race isn’t over quite yet.

Saints vs. Buccaneers Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: New Orleans Saints +2.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: New Orleans Saints (+115)
  • Over-Under Bet: Over 41.5 (-110)

Arizona Cardinals vs. Philadelphia Eagles Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Arizona Cardinals+10.5 (-110)+575Over 47.5 (-110)
Philadelphia Eagles-10.5 (-110)-750Under 47.5 (-110)

A week after the Cardinals were dropped by 11 points at Chicago, they stayed out east with a Week 16 showdown against the Eagles. Philadelphia needs to build up some momentum going into the playoffs.

This looks like a great spot for the Eagles to beat up on an inferior opponent at Lincoln Financial Field. Back the Eagles to defeat the Cardinals by double digits in Week 17.

Despite the lofty point spread, the Eagles’ NFL Week 17 odds are not high enough against the 3-12 Cardinals.

Cardinals vs. Eagles Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: Philadelphia Eagles -10.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Philadelphia Eagles (-750)
  • Over-Under Bet: Under 47.5 (-110)

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Seattle Seahawks Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Pittsburgh Steelers+3.5 (-120)+160Over 41 (-110)
Seattle Seahawks-3.5 (+100)-185Under 41 (-110)

Steelers fans fell in love with Mason Rudolph last week. With their backs against the wall, the Steelers ousted the Bengals at home, 34-11. They needed the win to stay in the AFC playoff hunt.

Can Rudolph and the Steelers maintain their good form on the road? The Seahawks need a win just as badly as the Steelers. If they win, they’re in. With a healthy Geno Smith under center, look for the Seahawks to be too tough of a challenge for the Steelers.

Steelers vs. Seahawks Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: Seattle Seahawks -3.5 (+100)
  • Moneyline Bet: Seattle Seahawks (-185)
  • Over-Under Bet: Over 41 (-110)

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Cincinnati Bengals+8 (-110)+310Over 45 (-110)
Kansas City Chiefs-8 (-110)-400Under 45 (-110)

The Steelers managed to confuse Jake Browning with a zone defense look that he didn’t expect to see. It was a miserable performance from Browning and the Bengals without Ja’Marr Chase on the field.

We had the Steelers as one of our best NFL underdog picks for Week 16, so it wasn’t surprising. This week, look for the Bengals to have a better grasp of the challenge against the Chiefs.

They may not pull off the upset, but if Chase returns to the field, this should be closer than expected. Monitor the injury report throughout the week before locking in your NFL Week 17 picks on the Bengals.

Bengals vs. Chiefs Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: Cincinnati Bengals +8 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Kansas City Chiefs (-400)
  • Over-Under Bet: Over 45 (-110)

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Denver Broncos Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Los Angeles Chargers+6.5 (-110)+225Over 38.5 (-110)
Denver Broncos-6.5 (-110)-275Under 38.5 (-110)

Broncos’ fans went through a whole wave of emotions on Christmas Eve. After erasing a 23-7 deficit in the fourth quarter, the Broncos allowed Bailey Zappe to execute a late drive for a game-winning field goal.

The Broncos are statistically alive for the playoffs, but they’re on life support. They need to win out against the Chargers and Raiders and then hope the Colts, Texans, Steelers, and Bengals crash.

Disappointing losses to the Lions and Patriots over the last two weeks likely killed their will to compete. The Broncos can win, but there is better value on Easton Stick and the underdogs.

Chargers vs. Broncos Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: Los Angeles Chargers +6.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Los Angeles Chargers (+225)
  • Over-Under Bet: Over 38.5 (-110)

Green Bay Packers vs. Minnesota Vikings Odds

TEAMSPREADMONEYLINETOTAL
Green Bay Packers+2.5 (-105)+120Over 45.5 (-110)
Minnesota Vikings-2.5 (-115)-140Under 45.5 (-110)

The Vikings’ playoff hopes were dealt a serious blow in a 30-24 loss to the Lions at home. With Detroit winning the NFC North title, the Packers and Vikings remain in the wildcard race at 7-8.

Minnesota recently got Justin Jefferson back from an injury, but tight end T.J. Hockenson and wide receiver Jordan Addison were injured against the Lions. Both could miss significant time due to their respective injuries.

One or both targets being absent would give Nick Mullens tunnel vision with Jefferson. Hockenson is an important weapon in the Vikings’ offense, who appears to be dealing with a serious knee injury. Let’s finish our NFL Week 17 predictions with a pick on the Packers to cover the spread.

Packers vs. Vikings Predictions:

  • Point Spread Bet: Green Bay Packers +2.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline Bet: Green Bay Packers (+120)
  • Over-Under Bet: Under 45.5 (-110)

Best NFL Bets This Week

Let’s take a quick look at our NFL best bets at sports betting sites for Week 17. Our best bets in the NFL have been incredibly profitable throughout the year, and we look to add more winners this week.

Dallas Cowboys -5.5 (-115)

If the Lions want to make this a competitive game, they can probably take the Cowboys down to the wire. However, after winning their first divisional title in 30 years, the Lions are likely facing a hangover this week.

They still have something to play for as far as seeding is concerned, but the primary objective of the Lions has to be staying healthy now. So, in addition to a potential letdown, the Lions are unlikely to be playing 100% at AT&T Stadium.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys, are coming off a frustrating two-point loss to the Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium. They have dropped consecutive contests after riding a five-game win streak, including a 33-13 victory over the Eagles at home on December 10.

Expect the Cowboys to be focused on getting back on track. This season, the Cowboys are 6-1 against the spread (ATS) at AT&T Stadium. As a favorite, they’ve been a profitable bet at 9-2 ATS.

The Bet
DALLAS COWBOYS -5.5

Philadelphia Eagles -10.5 (-110)

The Eagles are well on their way to the NFC playoffs, but are still in search of the NFC East title. With the Cowboys losing to the Dolphins, the Eagles are in a good position to win the divisional crown.

A visit from the 3-12 Cardinals should help. Last week, the Cardinals looked uninspired in a 27-16 loss to the Bears. Kyler Murray passed for 230 yards and two touchdowns, but there weren’t any other highlights.

James Conner was the most effective running back and receiver for the Cardinals. Marquise Brown did not practice last week and was unable to suit up in Week 16.

Brown is bothered by a heel injury, which puts his status for Philadelphia into doubt. As the race for the top pick of the 2024 NFL Draft heats up, Cardinals fans probably wouldn’t mind if Brown misses the game.

In 2023-24, the Cardinals are 3-5 ATS as a road team. Additionally, three of their last four losses have been by double digits. The Eagles should make it another lopsided loss for the Cardinals at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Bet
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES -10.5
