There are a variety of NHL Awards 2025 betting odds to place your money for the second half at NHL betting sites. The deeper we progress to the finish line of the regular season, the larger line shifts we should witness.
However, there are a few races that should go down to the wire. I explore these awards and share the reasoning for my NHL Awards predictions below.
If you already like some of the odds you see above, you will find them at Bovada.
Art Ross Trophy Odds, Favorites and Betting Prediction
PLAYER ODDS Nathan MacKinnon (COL) -115 Leon Draisaitl (EDM) +125 Nikita Kucherov (TBL) +225 Connor McDavid (EDM) +400 Mitchell Marner (TOR) +4000
The Art Ross Trophy is awarded to the player who finishes with the most points in the regular season. There is a three-player battle for the award, with the Oilers’ Connor McDavid on the outside looking in right now.
Colorado’s Nathan MacKinnon is in the driver’s seat for the Art Ross through the first half. MacKinnon has yet to win the award during his 12-year career in the NHL. This year is better than ever, though.
The 29-year-old Nova Scotia native has logged 21 goals and 66 assists in 57 games this season. He holds a total of 87 points, with seven points in his last two matchups before the break!

Note that MacKinnon has at least one point in 11 of his last 13 outings. The recent push puts him four points up on Edmonton’s Leon Draisaitl. With MacKinnon, you know that you’ll be getting a consistent producer for the rest of the season.
He rarely goes through cold droughts, and if injuries don’t come into play, expect MacKinnon to stay hot. The addition of Martin Necas to the top line has only elevated his effort.
Before this line jumps to -200, I recommend backing MacKinnon for the Art Ross Trophy at -115!
Calder Trophy Odds, Favorites and Betting Prediction
PLAYER ODDS Macklin Celebrini (SJS) -350 Lane Hutson (MTL) +300 Dustin Wolf (CGY) +1200 Matvei Michkov (PHI) +6600 Jakub Dobes (MTL) +15000
Macklin Celebrini of the San Jose Sharks is a heavy favorite to win the Calder Memorial Trophy. Currently, Celebrini has a 77.8% implied probability of winning the top rookie award.
Montreal Canadiens’ defenseman Lane Hutson is in the running, but Celebrini has pulled firmly ahead in February. The Sharks’ center is a star in the making, and we’ve seen flashes of an elite skill set from Celebrini.
The 18-year-old BC native has scored 17 goals and 23 assists in 45 matchups. He’s been on fire with 13 points since Jan. 4. It took Celebrini a month or two to get comfortable in the NHL, but he’s picked things up in a hurry recently.

In addition to the 13 points, Celebrini has notched five goals. The former member of the North Shore Winter Club can only go up from here. I expect Celebrini to soar in the second half.
Although Hutson is a solid option, voters can’t ignore Celebrini for the Calder! He should probably be a -450 favorite, so -350 appears a bit too low at the break.
Norris Trophy Odds, Favorites and Betting Prediction
PLAYER ODDS Cale Makar (COL) -125 Quinn Hughes (VAN) +130 Zach Werenski (CLB) +475 Shea Theodore (VGK) +5000 John Morrissey (WPG) +6600
Cale Makar is favored to win his second Norris Trophy this season after grabbing the honor as a rookie in the 2019-20 campaign. Two years later Makar captured the 2022 Conn Smythe Trophy and 2022 Norris Trophy in the same season.
Last year, Makar’s rival, Quinn Hughes, captured his first Norris Trophy. It was also the first time that a Canucks’ defenseman won the Norris! Hughes has a chance to add another, but oddsmakers currently favor Makar.
The Avs’ offensive defenseman holds a 55.6% implied chance to win his second Norris Trophy. According to the first-half results from these talented powerhouse blue-liners, either is a deserving winner. However, Makar has passed the “eye test” just a bit more than Hughes.
Cale Makar is just nasty… imagine getting this from your d-man while SHORTHANDED 🤯 pic.twitter.com/7dJ3ndZ6jK

Makar is first among defensemen with 22 goals and 41 assists. His 63 points is four better than Hughes’ 59 points. Additionally, Makar’s +18 is three better than Hughes. Also, keep in mind that Makar plays on the penalty kill.
It’s also worth noting that the current favorite has played in ten more games than Hughes this season. The Canucks’ defenseman had to miss the 4 Nations Face-Off due to an undisclosed injury. Hughes has been banged up this season, and if it lingers in the second half, he may lose this award simply from not being on the ice more than Makar!
In a razor-thin race between Makar and Hughes, the Avs’ defenseman should get the call for the Norris. He’s stepped up markedly after regressing a season ago and deserves the highest recognition. With this in mind, consider Makar for your 2025 NHL Awards predictions!
