However, there are a few races that should go down to the wire. I explore these awards and share the reasoning for my NHL Awards predictions below.
If you already like some of the odds you see above, you will find them at Bovada.
Art Ross Trophy Odds, Favorites and Betting Prediction
PLAYER | ODDS |
---|---|
Nathan MacKinnon (COL) | -250 |
Leon Draisaitl (EDM) | +150 |
Nikita Kucherov (TBL) | +1000 |
Connor McDavid (EDM) | +6600 |
Davis Pastrnak (BOS) | +20000 |
Kyle Connor (WPG) | +20000 |
Mitch Marner (TOR) | +20000 |
Note that MacKinnon has at least one point in eight of his last 11 outings. The recent push puts him four points up on Edmonton’s Leon Draisaitl. With MacKinnon, you know that you’ll be getting a consistent producer for the rest of the season. He rarely goes through cold droughts, and if injuries don’t come into play, expect MacKinnon to stay hot. The addition of Martin Necas to the top line has only elevated his effort. Last month, I recommended backing MacKinnon at -115 before his price jumped significantly. The value is quickly evaporating, but I’m sticking with my original Art Ross prediction of MacKinnon edging out Draisaitl.THE AVALANCHE BENCH CLEARS AFTER NATHAN MACKINNON EARNS HIS 1,000TH CAREER POINT pic.twitter.com/MB1tnYcPKF

Calder Trophy Odds, Favorites and Betting Prediction
PLAYER | ODDS |
---|---|
Macklin Celebrini (SJS) | -250 |
Lane Hutson (MTL) | +225 |
Matvei Michkov (PHI) | +1000 |
Dustin Wolf (CGY) | +1500 |
In addition to the seven points this month, Celebrini has notched two goals over the Sharks’ last five assignments. The former member of the North Shore Winter Club can only go up from here. I expect Celebrini to continue to elevate his game down the stretch in San Jose. Although Hutson is a solid option, voters can’t ignore Celebrini for the Calder! He should probably be a -375 favorite, so -250 is still a decent value for your NHL Awards picks!Goal 2️⃣0️⃣ for the rookie! pic.twitter.com/aQD8HhCEH5

Norris Trophy Odds, Favorites and Betting Prediction
PLAYER | ODDS |
---|---|
Cale Makar (COL) | -275 |
Zach Werenski (CBJ) | +140 |
Quinn Hughes (VAN) | +1600 |
He captured the 2021-22 Conn Smythe Trophy and 2021-22 Norris Trophy in the same year. Now, it appears Makar is prepared to add more hardware to his mantle. Last year, Makar’s rival, Quinn Hughes, captured his first Norris Trophy. It was also the first time that a Canucks’ defenseman won the Norris! Hughes has a chance to add another, but he is well back at +1600. Judging by the results on the ice this season, these three are all deserving winners. However, Makar has passed the “eye test” just a bit more than Hughes and Werenski. So much so that I believe Makar should be a -500 favorite at this juncture. Makar is first among defensemen with 24 goals and 51 assists. His 75 points is four better than Hughes’ 61 points and Werenski’s 69 points. Additionally, Makar’s +22 is +13 better than Hughes and +11 over Werenski! Also, keep in mind that Makar plays on the penalty kill. It’s also worth noting that the current favorite has played in 15 more games than Hughes this season. Hughes missed the 4 Nations with an injury and ultmately missed roughly two weeks of action with the Canucks. He’s fallen well behind as a result of this recent absence. In a close race between Makar and Werenski, the Avs’ defenseman should get the call for the Norris. He’s stepped up markedly after regressing a season ago and deserves the highest recognition. With this in mind, consider Makar for your 2025 NHL Awards predictions!Cale Makar is a hockey god. Completely shut down a 2 on 1 in ways i have seen before then took the puck the opposite direction and created a goal. Elite work. pic.twitter.com/NrzI82JsFM
