The annual SAG Awards are one of the premier events of the television and film awards seasons. Here are my SAG Awards predictions for 2024:

Lily Gladstone was the favorite to win Best Actress for her performance in Killers of the Flower Moon earlier this week. Gladstone was listed at -200 odds but recently faded to even money. Emma Stone’s odds shortened from +100 to -900 to win this award. Both actresses are deserving of the Best Actress award this year. However, with the recent shift in odds, I would stick with Stone (-900) to pick up the win this weekend.

The race for the Best Actor award has two standout candidates. Cillian Murphy (-155) is a slight favorite over Paul Giamatti (+115). They are nominated for Oppenheimer and The Holdovers, respectively. Murphy and Oppenheimer have won plenty of awards this season. However, I think that Giamatti will pull off the upset and take home Best Actor at the SAG Awards.

Steven Yeun is a -900 favorite to win Best Actor in a TV Movie or Miniseries at this year’s SAG Awards. Yeun is nominated for his role in Beef. The next closest nominee is Jon Hamm at +400. Matt Bomer (+800) also has better than 10-1 odds in this category. David Oyelowo and Tony Shalhoub round out the category at +1600. Hamm and Bomer are tempting options, but I think Yeun will be the one taking home this award.

Yeun’s co-star in Beef, Ali Wong, is listed as the female favorite at -900 to win Best TV Movie or Mini Series award. The next closest actress in this category is Brie Larson (+350) for her role in Lessons in Chemistry. Bel Powley (+1200), Uzo Adubo (+1400), and Kathryn Hahn (+1600) are also nominated in this category. All five actresses are worthy nominees, but I believe that Wong is the right pick here. Wong and Yeun seem poised to sweep this category for Beef.

Sarah Snook (-800) is a heavy favorite to win the Outstanding Actress in a Drama. Snook is nominated for her performance in the hit show Succession. Elizabeth Debicki (+500) and Bella Ramsey (+600) are the only other nominees with odds better than 10-1. Upsets are not uncommon at the SAG Awards, and I think we could see one in this category. I think Debicki, not Snook, will win this award.

Three actors from Succession are nominated for the Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series. Kieran Culkin (-500) is the favorite in this category. There is a chance that the trio of Succession actors could steal votes from one another, opening the door for Pedro Pascal (+350) to win the award. However, I do not think that will be the case. I would stick with Culkin to win this award.

Jeremy Allen White (-600) is a heavy favorite to win Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series. He is nominated for his role in The Bear. One of his co-stars, Ebon Moss-Bachrach (+1000), is also nominated. I would not bet on either actor from The Bear. Instead, I would wager on Jason Sudeikis (+900), who is nominated for the final season of Ted Lasso.

Ayo Edebiri, also from The Bear, is favored to win Outstanding Comedy Actress. She is listed at -1000 in the latest SAG betting odds at BetUS. The next closest nominee is Hannah Waddingham (+700), who is nominated for her performance in Ted Lasso. I recommend sticking with Edebiri in this category. Unlike her male co-stars, there is no other nominee from The Bear in this category to take votes away from Edebiri.
