Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley Odds, Prediction, and Betting Pick

  • Liv Morgan (-300)
  • Rhea Ripley (+200)

After overcoming a shoulder injury that held her out of action since April, former Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley is expected to return to the ring at SummerSlam. It was an unfortunate real-life injury for Ripley and the WWE.

She was crowned as the Women’s World Champion by beating Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 39. Most likely, WWE executives wanted Ripley to be the champion for a very long time. Making her an unbeatable force, ala Reigns, was probably in the cards!

However, the injury forced WWE to pivot to a new script, with Becky Lynch winning the vacated title. She ultimately dropped the Women’s World Championship to Morgan in an upset at WWE King and Queen of the Ring.

This matchup between Morgan and Ripley was in the works as soon as the Australian superstar had to vacate the title. In the meantime, Morgan has cozied up to Dominik Mysterio, which has included seducing him weekly. Naturally, Morgan has been trying to get under the skin of Ripley while she’s away.

The feud will come to a head at SummerSlam at Cleveland Browns Stadium! Initially, Morgan was expected to be merely a placeholder champion until Ripley returned. However, her second reign as the champion has been much better than her first, so WWE may be interested in keeping the title on her waist.

On the July 22 episode of RAW, Dom left Morgan in tears after he turned his back on her. He professed his desire to rekindle his relationship with Ripley. In an in-ring promo, Dom told his former fling to get lost in Spanish. As a result, Ripley embraced her dear friend, or so she thinks.

The heartbroken champ vows to get revenge at SummerSlam for Dom’s betrayal. Not so fast, though. The whole thing could be an act put on by Dom and Morgan. Originally, for my SummerSlam predictions, I had Dom turning on Ripley and interfering to help Morgan.

Despite his recent rant, there is likely a twist at SummerSlam. With that said, I still believe that Ripley gets blindsided by Dom. The recent promo is likely setting up a turn of events in Cleveland.

Oddsmakers seem to agree with me. Morgan opened as a -240 betting favorite to defeat Ripley. Her SummerSlam odds have changed over the last two weeks to -300. In short, Morgan’s implied probability of beating Ripley has risen from 70.6% to 75%.

The betting value on Morgan at -300 is lower, but she is still worth a bet. The way I see it, Morgan picks up the win at SummerSlam, while Ripley gets her revenge at Bad Blood.

Still, if the odds reach -350 or worse, then that’s where the value is all but gone!

Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa Odds, Prediction, and Betting Pick

  • Cody Rhodes (-3000)
  • Solo Sikoa (+850)

Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa is officially confirmed for the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam! Rhodes is an overwhelming favorite to beat Sikoa.

The -3000 odds for him equal an implied chance to win of 96.8%! This is a considerable jump from where Rhodes’ SummerSlam 2024 odds opened earlier this month.

Rhodes was previously an -800 favorite, or in other words, had an 88.9% implied chance. Since our SummerSlam betting picks were released last week, his probability of winning has improved by roughly eight percent.

In short, public sentiment is up substantially on Rhodes, but his price has stalled over the last week. It still doesn’t bode well for Sikoa, though. All this means is that bettors aren’t interested in backing Rhodes at -3000!

Rhodes won the WWE Championship with a stunning win over Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40. The previous champ held the title for an incredible 1,316 days before Rhodes ended the Tribal Chief’s run.

He is the ideal champion for the WWE. Rhodes is a fan favorite with young fans, well-spoken in the media, has a clean image, good on the mic, and is involved in entertaining matches. The “American Nightmare” is a great representative and face of the company!

That said, is he going to beat Sikoa to retain the WWE Championship? Rhodes has been champion for over 110 days now. That doesn’t feel too long, because the WWE is happy with him as the champion Also, is the current leader of The Bloodline ready for a step up?

I am not so convinced. It wouldn’t be a bad move for The Bloodline storyline, but I don’t believe the WWE thinks Sikoa is a top superstar in the company. He’s not Reigns and doesn’t hold up well on the mic, so it’d be perplexing to make him the WWE champ!

The Bloodline is limping into SummerSlam after Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa suffered losses to former Tag Team champs Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens in Japan. Will the skid continue at SummerSlam? I have to believe so for Sikoa versus Rhodes.

Reigns could get involved in some way in this match, but the end result will be the same with Rhodes retaining the title. Nevertheless, the Rhodes vs. Sikoa odds have gotten out of control at -3000. Even -800 was too pricey, so while Rhodes is the likely winner, don’t consider betting on him with no value on this bet at BetUS.

Nia Jax vs. Bayley Odds, Prediction, and Betting Pick

  • Nia Jax (-130)
  • Bayley (-110)

In the second women’s title match of SummerSlam, Bayley will put her WWE Women’s Championship on the line against Nia Jax. The champ has held the title for over three months after defeating Iyo Sky for the strap at WrestleMania 40.

Jax has edged ahead in the SummerSlam 2024 betting markets as a -130 betting favorite. The challenger opened at -115, so her implied probability has risen slightly from 53.5% to 56.5%!

Jax’s -130 odds have held strong without any movement in the betting markets over the last week. Per BetUS, this is the closest bout that we have on the books at SummerSlam 2024!

Bayley has served well as a champion, but her run is getting slightly stale. WWE needs to throw a changeup and introduce a new title holder for the WWE Women’s Championship.

Although Jax has her detractors, a heel after Bayley’s babyface reign would certainly be something different. She isn’t the most talented worker in the ring, but Jax is a solid enough heel in the women’s division. Also, you have to give her credit for getting better because she’s improved tremendously over the last year.

Bayley, however, didn’t miss the opportunity to criticize Jax’s in-ring talent on a recent episode of WWE SmackDown. The current champ reminded Jax of the injury she gave her in 2017 and went as far as to say that she’s reckless in the ring. Jax and Bayley have continued to trade barbs and insults in the lead-up to SummerSlam on Saturday, August 3. It hasn’t swayed bettors to back Bayley’s SummerSlam odds in droves!

Many fans will agree with Bayley, though Jax has taken steps to improve her wrestling ability. That hard work will possibly be rewarded by WWE management with a win at SummerSlam. Her time with the WWE Women’s Championship belt may not be for long, but Jax likely wins here. Consider backing Jax to beat Bayley for your SummerSlam 2024 betting picks!

Gunther vs. Damian Priest Odds, Prediction, and Betting Pick

  • Gunther (-600)
  • Damian Priest (+350)

The WWE SummerSlam 2024 odds suggest that Gunther has a huge chance of becoming the next WWE World Heavyweight Champion. However, his price has been moving in the opposite direction since peaking at -1200 odds in mid-July.

Currently, Gunther is a -600 favorite, with an implied probability of 85.7%. Although the odds still heavily favor Gunther winning, this is the lowest the price has ever been. The imposing Austrian opened as a -600 favorite, shot up to -1200, and has settled in at -600.

The WWE SummerSlam 2024 odds for this matchup have been a rollercoaster ride! Gunther will be a future champion, but will it happen at SummerSlam? The 6-foot-4 Gunther dropped the International Continental Championship to Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 40. He held the title for a record-breaking 666 days to pass The Honky Tonk Man.

This was undoubtedly the next step in Gunther’s career with the company. He has been billed as a future World Heavyweight Champion for over a year now. Triple H and the rest of the WWE executives have likely viewed him as a champion for a while now!

That’s why Gunther had to lose the Intercontinental Championship to continue his ascent to being a main eventer. Priest has been in possession of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship since cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase to defeat Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 40.

Priest likely wasn’t viewed as a long-term solution for the WWE in this spot. I don’t believe anyone looked at him and saw him going on a Reigns type run.

When it comes to Gunther, yeah, he can be the face of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship to set up an epic clash against Reigns in the future!

Still, Priest doesn’t deserve to be treated as a transitional champion. He’s earned his keep in the WWE, and a clean win at SummerSlam would elevate his status as a true champ with a victory over a dominant force like Gunther.

The challenger will get his moment – possibly at the Bash in Berlin in late August? In any event, there is enough doubt to avoid laying -600 odds on Gunther winning.

Although Priest doesn’t have as much value as when we backed him at +600, there remains a solid opportunity on The Judgment Day’s star. With this in mind, consider taking a flier on Priest to retain the World Heavyweight Championship at a juicy price of +350!

LA Knight vs. Logan Paul Odds, Prediction, and Betting Pick

  • LA Knight (-400)
  • Logan Paul (+250)

Logan Paul will put his WWE United States Championship on the line against LA Knight at SummerSlam 2024. Paul has held the title for over 260 days after shocking Rey Mysterio at WWE Crown Jewel. He successfully defended his title this past April at WrestleMania 40 against Kevin Owens and Randy Orton.

With Paul’s PRIME heavily advertised by WWE around WrestleMania 40, including a sponsorship spot on the mat, it was highly unlikely that the creative team was going to make him drop the title. Although Paul is still a sponsor, PRIME Hydration isn’t as prominently advertised as it was in the past.

PRIME Hydration is currently under fire from the U.S. Olympic Committee due to trademark infringement. Yes, Paul’s business relationship with WWE has an impact on whether he’ll continue to hold a title and be in the limelight.

There are three possible reasons why Paul could lose this match:

  • Paul’s title reign is getting too stale.
  • Paul asked to lose, so he can focus on other endeavors outside WWE.
  • The WWE isn’t interested in marketing PRIME Hydration as heavily.

You can probably combine a bit of each of these. Of course, LA Knight deserves the WWE United States Championship and Knight has been touted as the likely successor to Paul for months.

In April, at +275, Knight was favored as the next superstar to defeat Paul for the WWE US Championship. Now, with this match scheduled at SummerSlam, Knight is a heavy favorite to win the title.

There is no question that Paul can wrestle and has some talent cutting promos, but his title reign is running past its expiry date. WWE needs a shake-up in the US Title chase, so consider backing Knight to defeat Logan at SummerSlam.

Last week, Knight had -500 odds to beat Paul on Saturday night. Despite Paul getting some respect to bring the price down to -400, I am confident that he is dropping the title to Knight in Cleveland!
