As the Big Game inches closer, the Kansas City Chiefs remain the favorites to beat at Super Bowl betting sites. However, the spread has dropped slightly through the week. The Chiefs opened at -1.5 (-105) and dropped to -1 (-110) at Bovada on Tuesday.
Likewise, the moneyline has shortened from -124 to -120. The latest Super Bowl betting odds suggest the Chiefs have a 54.5% implied chance of winning. As more big Super Bowl bets continue to trickle in this week, we should continue to see the lines move leading up to kickoff.

Kansas City Chiefs: Can the Champs Three-Peat?
In a potential to add to NFL history, the Kansas City Chiefs can become the first team ever to win three consecutive Super Bowl titles. Nine teams have won back-to-back Super Bowls, including the Chiefs in 2023 and 2024. However, no franchise has pulled off a three-peat.
Leave it to Patrick Mahomes to put his team on the verge of making NFL history! The star QB led the Chiefs to a 15-2 record and another AFC West title. It wasn’t without multiple hurdles for the Chiefs to clear. They overcame several injuries to their offense to land in Super Bowl 59.
The Chiefs received great news on the injury front during Super Bowl Week. According to head coach Andy Reid, they are not dealing with any serious ailments to their roster. The on-field preparations for the Chiefs haven’t included any missing players, so they are ready to go to New Orleans.
Due to the injuries early in the campaign, the offense needed nearly the entire season to start clicking. However, with the clutch hand of Mahomes, and timely defensive stops, the Chiefs lost just two games. One of those losses was in the regular season finale with the starters on the bench!

Despite a down year offensively, Mahomes still passed for 3,928 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions on 67.5% passing. As expected, Mahomes came up on critical downs to put the Chiefs in a position to win repeatedly. This was on display in the AFC Championship, as Mahomes finished off the Bills on the final drive to close out in a 32-29 thriller.
Steve Spagnuolo’s defense has been the real crowning moment for the Chiefs this season. They hold the keys to stopping the Eagles’ dangerous offense on the ground.
The Chiefs are ninth in the NFL, with an average of 106.7 yards allowed per game against the run. They’ve conceded 4.1 yards per carry — tied for the fourth-best mark in the NFL. Overall, Kansas City has conceded 19.4 points per game, for a top 5 unit in 2024-25.

Defeating the Eagles requires a stout defense in the box and the Chiefs satisfy this need. Eagles’ QB Jalen Hurts isn’t nearly as effective when the running game is bogged down. Neutralizing former Giants’ RB Saquon Barkley completely is a tough ask, but they should do enough to force Hurts to win with his arm.
With the Chiefs healthier and in peak form at the perfect time, yes, they are in a great position to three-peat! But what are the best bets for Super Bowl 59? Let’s talk about the Eagles first, and we’ll get there.
Philadelphia Eagles: Time for Sweet Revenge?
The Eagles will take another crack at the Chiefs after falling two years ago in Super Bowl 57. They couldn’t keep pace with Mahomes in a 38-35 loss at State Farm Stadium. However, are the Eagles prepared to play spoiler and prevent the Chiefs from claiming history?
Led by Barkley in the backfield and a physical offensive line, the Eagles should be in this game. Barkley has been an unstoppable force on the ground. In his first year in Philadelphia, he rushed for 2,005 yards and 13 touchdowns on 5.8 yards per carry.

The Eagles ran through the competition in the regular season to finish at 14-3 and NFC East title. It’s crazy to think that head coach Nick Sirianni was facing pressure early in the season. Many Eagles fans had Sirianni on the chopping block, but the team caught fire and went 12-1 in their final 13 regular season games.
They pulled away from the Packers in the Wild Card Round, 22-10, and then won a hard-fought clash versus the Rams, 28-22. The Eagles made it look easy in the NFC Championship, as Barkley ripped off a long touchdown run on the first play! He ran for 118 yards and three touchdowns in the 55-23 victory.
It’s no secret what the Eagles will try to do in this game against the Eagles. They’ll run the ball with Barkley and Hurts will work off the read option to set up the deep ball in the secondary. However, they can’t expect to have nearly as much success against Spagnuolo’s defense.
Can Hurts be as clutch as Mahomes in a tight game when the run game isn’t bulldozing the Chiefs? I believe they may have to get a big performance out of the defense. They rank first in the NFL, allowing an average of 289.3 yards per game. The secondary has been stout, with 184.9 yards yielded this year.
That said, Andy Reid and the Chiefs’ coaching staff having two weeks to prepare for the Super Bowl is always a disadvantage to their opponents. Sirianni’s pre-game prep work will be critically important to the outcome of this matchup. Unlike the Chiefs, the Eagles are dealing with multiple players on the injury report.
The Eagles’ injury report is long, which includes WR DeVonta Smith (hamstring), TE Dallas Goedert (ankle), C Cam Jurgens (back), and G Landon Dickerson (knee). That’s two starting offensive linemen and a couple of important playmakers. That said, Eagles fans will be happy to know they are scheduled to all play on Sunday.
Super Bowl 59 Predictions and Betting Picks
For our final 2025 Super Bowl predictions, I foresee a tightly contested matchup at Caesars Superdome. While both sides bring offensive fireworks to the table, expect these defenses to shine bright in New Orleans.
If the Chiefs’ defense can limit Barkley to an extent — which I believe they will — the offensive game plan for the Eagles will be in a tough spot. The offense isn’t built to be overly pass-happy, so edge Chiefs on the ground.
Nevertheless, the Eagles’ elite pass defense shouldn’t allow Mahomes and the Chiefs to march up and down the field. This likely leads to a close matchup in the final quarter.
So, who do you trust more in a nail-biter in the Super Bowl? I will put my faith in Mahomes working more of his magic this season. Everything has aligned for the Chiefs at the right time, which likely leads to the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
