Lil Wayne (+150) is the favorite at online sportsbooks to appear with Lamar at the Super Bowl 59 halftime show! While that gives him an implied probability of 40% of showing up, especially since it’s in his hometown of New Orleans, I’d go against that. Lil Wayne was very disappointed to not be chosen for the show, and let it be known. He is also very close with Drake (+5000), who, if you haven’t heard, has a small feud with Lamar. The same goes for Nicki Minaj (+500).
Jay-Z (+300) and Roc Nation helped to hire Lamar for the Super Bowl halftime show, but he probably won’t perform. Beyoncé (+500) is already performing at halftime of the Ravens-Texans game on Christmas Day in Houston, so she’s probably out. Taylor Swift (+600) was the favorite at NFL betting sites in September to headline the show, but she has just finished her Eras Tour, so she’s most likely out.
I think we’ll see Snoop Dogg (+250), Dr. Dre (+300), but just on betting value alone, I’m taking Travis Scott (+600)! Lamar and Scott’s “Goosebumps” was a massive hit, so I can see Scott making an appearance in New Orleans, even though he has also done songs with Drake!

Lamar’s “Not Like Us” (+800) was one of the biggest songs of 2024, but that is more of a song you close a set with. He opened with “M.A.A.D. City” at Super Bowl 56, but that was in Los Angeles, where Lamar is from (Compton, to be specific). He also performed “Alright” (+1600) at Super Bowl 56, so we can scratch that off the list.
I think “Euphoria” (+500) will get played, at least the first verse, and lead into “Not Like Us”. So, I’m going to stick with the favorite at offshore sportsbooks and take “N95”, which was the lead single off his album, Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers.

Finally, we have the biggest question of the night: will Kendrick Lamar diss Drake at the Super Bowl halftime show? I’m leaning towards Yes (+200), which has an implied probability of 33.3% of happening.
Lamar’s entire 2024 has been based around dissing Drake, so I don’t see any way around it. Even if he doesn’t mention his name directly, everyone in the world will know who he is talking about.
For me, that’s the most fascinating part of the halftime show, possibly more than the Super Bowl 59 odds themselves. How does Lamar get around saying all the, let’s just say, inflammatory, statements he makes about Drake in “Not Like Us” and “Euphoria”? He’s arguably the most talented rapper on the planet, so I’m excited to see what he comes up with.
But I think there’s a ton of betting value in saying he’ll diss Drake in my Super Bowl halftime show predictions!
