Survivor Season 48 Odds and Prediction (Updated After Each Episode)

We will be adding the updated odds, analysis, and prediction after each episode here, so you will continue to have fresh information as the season progresses!

Here are the 2025 Survivor odds, courtesy of BetOnline, after the seventh episode:

CASTAWAYODDS
Kyle Fraser+140
Kamila Karthigesu+320
Shauhin Davari+350
Eva Erickson+500
Joe Hunter+650
David Kinne+800
Mary Zheng+1000
Chrissy Sarnowsky+1200
Star Toomey+1200
Mitch Guerra+1400

The latest Survivor betting odds suggest that Kyle Fraser (+140) is the clear player to beat. At +140 odds, Kyle has a 41.7% implied probability to win the crown and become the lone survivor for Season 48.

Two weeks ago, Kyle was a +180 favorite to win Survivor 48. His implied chance has improved by three percent since then. However, the odds don’t indicate that this is over by a long shot. He still has less than a 50% implied chance of winning, so the door remains wide open for the competition.

Behind Kyle, Kamila Karthigesu (+320) and Shauhin Davari (+350) are the next most likely winners of Survivor Season 48. Kamila holds a 23.8% implied probability, while Shauhin checks in after Episode 7 with a 22.2% chance. It’s worth noting that pre-season favorite, Mitch Guerra, has tanked to +1400!

Additionally, Joe Hunter, who was the favorite for five weeks, has slipped to +650, or a 13.3% implied probability. Nevertheless, Joe opened the contest at +1000, so he’s still in a better position than he was before the season premiere.

This is still anyone’s guess, so let’s head into our Survivor 48 predictions below! Before I delve into my updated Survivor winner prediction below, a reminder that you can access Survivor 2025 odds at BetOnline by clicking through the site to Sports > Entertainment > Survivor.

Survivor 48 Predictions and Betting Pick After Episode 7

In a twist after the merge, the castaways were split up into two teams for the immunity challenge. The challenge was a strong grip contest, which tested the castaways’ ability to keep their pre-game weight suspended in the air via a bucket of water.

In a gauntlet between Joe and David Kinne, Joe released his hands from the bar and let his bucket fall to the ground. The challenge granted immunity to a player from each team, so despite the loss, Joe and David were both safe at tribal council.

David’s newfound team was able to enjoy peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for finishing on top.

With two castaways safe from elimination, there was another twist: double elimination. This meant that two players would be going home at the end of the episode. Ultimately, Sai Hughley and Cedrek McFadden were voted off the island in Fiji. Neither Sai nor Cedrek really went above and beyond to play this game, so I can’t say I’m surprised or disappointed.

The merge resulted in a new alliance formed between Joe, David, Kyle, Eva, Shauhin, and Eva Erickson. That’s a strong alliance, with the winner of Survivor 48 likely coming from that group. However, in an alliance that large and with only 10 players remaining, backstabbing will be part of the game down the stretch.

Kyle holds no value at +140, so I’m avoiding him as the betting favorite. The odds to win Survivor can change in a hurry, as we saw with Mitch. Instead, I see no reason to doubt Joe at this point in the game. He’s well-liked and would absolutely have the votes with the jury.

In addition to being socially in tune with the rest of the island, he is a threat in immunity challenges. Joe was my Survivor pre-season pick at +1000, and I’m going to continue siding with him at +650 for a nice return!

Joe Hunter

Survivor 48 Tribes and Contestants

Survivor 48 consists of the Civa, Lagi, and Vula Tribe. Now, let’s learn more about the three tribes and castaways on each side.

But, first, when does Survivor start? On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, Survivor 48 debuts at 8:00 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+.

Lagi Tribe

Lagi features a few contenders that could win the game in Fiji. According to the latest 2025 Survivor betting odds at BetUS, Star Toomey, Thomas Krottinger, and Hunter should be in the mix.

Lagi Tribe Members:

    • Bianca Roses, 33, strategic PR consultant (Arlington, VA)
    • Eva Erickson, 24, engineering grad student (Providence, RI)
    • Joe Hunter, 45, fire captain (Sacramento, CA)
    • Shauhin Davari, 38, debate professor (Costa Mesa, CA)
    • Star Toomey, 28, sales (Augusta, GA)
    • Thomas Krottinger, 34, music producer (Los Angeles, CA)

Civa Tribe

Guerra is on Civa, so they have the pre-game betting favorite to win Survivor 48! Whether this results in winning the game remains to be seen, but Guerra should be a weapon for the Civa Tribe. Kimma Karthigesu is also worth watching out for this season.

Civa Tribe Members:

    • Charity Nelms, 34, flight attendant (St. Petersburg, FL)
    • Chrissy Sarnowsky, 55, firefighter (Chicago, IL)
    • David Kinne, 39, stunt artist (Buena Park, CA)
    • Kamilla Karthigesu, 31, discord engineer (San Francisco, CA)
    • Kyle Fraser, 31, attorney (Brooklyn, NY)
    • Mitch Guerra, 34, teacher (Waco, TX)

Vula Tribe

Berger is expected to be the powerhouse of the Vula Tribe. With the second-shortest odds to win Survivor 48, the betting markets are expecting positives from her. Additionally, Saiounia Hughley, Kevin Leung, and Mary Zheng are among the favorites, so this should be a formidable tribe.

Vula Tribe Members:

    • Cedrek McFadden, 45, surgeon (Greenville, SC)
    • Justin Pioppi, 29, restaurant manager (Winthrop, MA)
    • Kevin Leung, 34, finance manager (Livermore, CA)
    • Mary Zheng, 31, substance abuse counselor (Philadelphia, PA)
    • Saiounia Hughley, 30, marketing specialist (Simi Valley, CA)
    • Stephanie Berger, 38, tech product specialist (Brooklyn, NY)
