We will be adding the updated odds, analysis, and prediction after each episode here, so you will continue to have fresh information as the season progresses!
Here are the 2025 Survivor odds, courtesy of BetUS ahead of the first episode:
CASTAWAY | ODDS |
---|---|
Mitch Guerra | +250 |
Stephanie Berger | +500 |
Saiounia Sai Hughley | +800 |
Kamilla Karthigesu | +800 |
Thomas Krottinger | +800 |
Star Toomey | +800 |
Mary Zheng | +800 |
Joe Hunter | +1000 |
Kevin Leung | +1000 |
According to the best Survivor betting sites, 34-year-old Texas native Mitch Guerra (+250) is favored to win Survivor Season 48. The opening Survivor betting odds suggest Guerra has an implied probability to win of 28.6%.
Despite growing up with a speech impediment, Guerra overcame obstacles to become a Physical Ed. teacher and is now the favorite to win Survivor! Stephanie Berger (+500) follows Guerra with the second-shortest odds to win Survivor 48.
The tech product lead from Brooklyn, NY, made quite the impression in her introduction video. We’ll see if Berger’s bubbly personality and sense of humor will help her on Survivor. Oddsmakers seem to believe so, as they have her making it far in the game.
Five castaways share the same odds to win Survivor 48. Saiounia Sai Hughley, Kamilla Karthigesu, Thomas Krottinger, and Star Toomey all share a price of +800, for an 11.1% probability. The odds taper off to Joe Hunter and Kevin Leung, who both have a 9.1% chance at +1000.

Survivor 48 Tribes and Contestants
Survivor 48 consists of the Civa, Lagi, and Vula Tribe. Now, let’s learn more about the three tribes and castaways on each side.
But, first, when does Survivor start? On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, Survivor 48 debuts at 8:00 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+.
Lagi Tribe
Lagi features a few contenders that could win the game in Fiji. According to the latest 2025 Survivor betting odds at BetUS, Star Toomey, Thomas Krottinger, and Hunter should be in the mix.
Lagi Tribe Members:
- Bianca Roses, 33, strategic PR consultant (Arlington, VA)
- Eva Erickson, 24, engineering grad student (Providence, RI)
- Joe Hunter, 45, fire captain (Sacramento, CA)
- Shauhin Davari, 38, debate professor (Costa Mesa, CA)
- Star Toomey, 28, sales (Augusta, GA)
- Thomas Krottinger, 34, music producer (Los Angeles, CA)
Civa Tribe
Guerra is on Civa, so they have the pre-game betting favorite to win Survivor 48! Whether this results in winning the game remains to be seen, but Guerra should be a weapon for the Civa Tribe. Kimma Karthigesu is also worth watching out for this season.
Civa Tribe Members:
- Charity Nelms, 34, flight attendant (St. Petersburg, FL)
- Chrissy Sarnowsky, 55, firefighter (Chicago, IL)
- David Kinne, 39, stunt artist (Buena Park, CA)
- Kamilla Karthigesu, 31, discord engineer (San Francisco, CA)
- Kyle Fraser, 31, attorney (Brooklyn, NY)
- Mitch Guerra, 34, teacher (Waco, TX)
Vula Tribe
Berger is expected to be the powerhouse of the Vula Tribe. With the second-shortest odds to win Survivor 48, the betting markets are expecting positives from her. Additionally, Saiounia Hughley, Kevin Leung, and Mary Zheng are among the favorites, so this should be a formidable tribe.
Vula Tribe Members:
- Cedrek McFadden, 45, surgeon (Greenville, SC)
- Justin Pioppi, 29, restaurant manager (Winthrop, MA)
- Kevin Leung, 34, finance manager (Livermore, CA)
- Mary Zheng, 31, substance abuse counselor (Philadelphia, PA)
- Saiounia Hughley, 30, marketing specialist (Simi Valley, CA)
- Stephanie Berger, 38, tech product specialist (Brooklyn, NY)
Survivor 48 Predictions and Betting Pick
Let’s get the Survivor 48 pre-game started with our best pick to win the game in 2025! Although Guerra seemingly has a strong chance of success, there isn’t any value in him winning at +250.
Note that oddsmakers are taking a wild guess before the season begins. Survivor odds tend to take wild shifts, with plenty of twists and turns throughout the year. In other words, betting on Guerra before Episode 1 at +250 does not yield the best return.
Still, Guerra is a likable castaway who will be an asset to the Civa Tribe. He is reportedly in the best shape of his life and should succeed in the social aspect of Survivor. When it comes to the second-shortest favorite, Berger, she is either going to be a boom or bust castaway.
If Berger gets through in the early episodes, she should be a dangerous threat. However, I can’t confidently say she doesn’t exit Survivor 48 prematurely. I’m circling her for the future, but again, there is stronger value on the board for your Survivor 48 predictions!
The best Survivor pick, when you take into consideration the pre-game odds, is Joe Hunter at +1000. The 45-year-old fire captain from Sacramento, CA, comes off as having the total package for Survivor. You can check off several boxes with Hunter.
Charismatic? Check. Physically capable? Check. Seemingly likable? Check. As a fire captain and the perfect candidate for challenges, I find it unlikely that the Lagi Tribe wants to see him leave early.
In addition to being a fire captain, he attended UCLA on a full scholarship for football and track and field. They’ll want to keep him around to assist heavily in physical challenges.
He has that going for himself, and I’m anticipating a strong social game from Hunter. Following the merge, he should have already developed strong connections. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him forming a circle with Eva Erickson early this season.
With this in mind, consider backing Hunter at a fantastic value price of +1000 for your Survivor 2025 picks! Of course, I only recommend a small wager so early in the show.
